Thanks McBaby

I'm glad I started writing that blog and also that I've been posting on here, because I was feeling so alone at the start - pretty much every teenage parent I knew dropped out of school or college before or when they found out, whereas I wanted to carry on with uni so I had no-one to ask for advice from.

I've had so many posts telling me they've been where I am and it is possible and it does work out and it's made me feel so confident about it, I'm so grateful for them all :)

Hello and welcome psynl, lovely to hear from the people who've been following the thread but not posted yet.

We are going to pick up a car seat today. Got it from eBay, and think we got a real bargain, it's a maxi cosi with the bit you leave in the car and it just clicks into. Got it for £40 and it looks to be in really good condition, my sis says it costs £210 new.

I'm really lucky as my sister had her third and last child 20 months ago, so she's giving us loads of stuff like the pushchair which this car seat connects on to, a crib and a Moses basket so we just need to get new mattresses for them. It's been a huge help.

There is still so much to buy and sort out though!

impatientlywaiting · 09/11/2013 09:01

Oh and I've got a proper bump already at 15 +3

moominleigh94 · 09/11/2013 09:02

Sounds like fun Vikks enjoy!

I'm the same on the bump situation impatiently - my lecturer was commenting on it yesterday Grin

Today I'm going to try and just chill out. Need to go food shopping but aside from that think I may just stay in bed Grin

Minions · 09/11/2013 09:53

Welcome psynl we have the same due date :)

For those with sore hips, is it mainly at night and is it sore to touch? It doesn't bother me during the day but wakes me up some nights. I've my 16 week appt on Thursday so I'll ask then but in the meantime will try the pillow between the legs.

Happy Saturday everyone, hope it is relaxing! We're off to dobbies Christmas wonderland :)

Irisheyessmiling · 09/11/2013 09:59

Hi, can I join? Afraid I've been hiding for a bit, too superstitious to post anything! But i'm 15 weeks today and hubby has bought first (rugby strip, but of course!) babygro so guess we're good to go!

So round already, ppl keep asking about twins. There was only one on the scan but have heard they can hide...Hmm Hopefully just one lovely chubby bubba in there!

Looking forward to chatting with you all!

moobaloo · 09/11/2013 10:22

Hello Irish nice to meet you!

I think I may be a bit wrong on dates as, at 11+6 I am feeling so much more energetic, alive, slightly less nauseous, and have better skin etc. than I did two weeks ago. Plus I am very round, bloated, can feel hard little bump sitting below my fat middle bit and feel very pregnant. I woke up this morning and announced to DP "I feel really second trimester today!" pahaha

However - STILL NO ONE KNOWS!! aarrrgghhh Scan in 6 days and then we are telling parents, work etc. so hard dressing carefully to just appear normal/chubby instead of preg!

moomin LOVE your blog post re "Getting pregnant was an accident, but having a baby is my choice" Love Love Love it. Going to use that phrase lots in the next few months I think! I'm 21 and this was completely unplanned - and I know people are going to ask, rude t0ssers - but I want my baby so much, he or she will be so loved by me and my partner, so that is a wonderful way to describe what's happened Smile thanks

Hezbean · 09/11/2013 11:17

Where can I read your blog post moomin?

Hello everyone! Rainy horrible day here in London - going to my dad's for a fireworks party later so hope it dries up! But before that we are going to drop in at my grandparents and tell them the news, can't wait. We've printed out the scan pics, I think they'll be really excited. They are 93 and 94 and still live at home - they've been married 71 years this year!

Sounds like most people are starting to feel a bit better. Congrats to all the people with little bumps. I think I just have a cake bump so far :-)

moominleigh94 · 09/11/2013 11:41

Hezbean my blog post is here

Don't be fooled by the disappearance of morning sickness, I'm 15+5 and threw up in ALDI car park today.

hamncheese · 09/11/2013 11:46

Ok i will start us off....My bump is on my profile. Its sideways, and whenever I upload it deletes the pic below so deleted scan pic. Sort it out mumsnet! Seriously! Anyway yay I'm carrying one big fat baby and a little inside baby in the same pic hehe

Feel free to post just bump not face. I'm well outed constantly so don't mind!

LittleBairn · 09/11/2013 12:10

On no think I have a tummy bug. Why this week of all weeks!
Only been sick once been up most of the night and my stomach is churning again.

LittleBairn · 09/11/2013 12:12

moomin excellent blog very true regarless of how we came to be pregnant we have chosen to have our babies.

Xavielli · 09/11/2013 12:22

Welcome Irish I'm 15 weeks today too :) is this your 1st?

LittleBairn · 09/11/2013 13:04

Irish welcome I'm due on the same day.
Yes with twins one can be hidden, my ex boss didn't know till she was 16 weeks with twins and she had two previous scans. But she had an older child and was sure she was feeling two separate flutters from them and she was right.

DH and I talked about names last night he has an impossible criteria of wanting a 'real' name but one with no connotations. Hmm

dobedobedo · 09/11/2013 13:52

That's a great blog post moomin! I find that people in real life ALWAYS ask me if it was planned. It's pretty much the first thing they ask. Angry how rude. I really am going to come back with "I'll tell you if you tell ME how often you have sex and do your period maths" at some point.

bluestone85 · 09/11/2013 14:01

I've been asked if it was planned and I've been with my husband for 7 1/2 years and been married for 1 1/2 years.....

Chip86 · 09/11/2013 14:34

I been asked lots been married 6 years, it was a lovely suppires, I tell them all about my infected ovary and how i was in hospital and told if i did get pregs it would be ectopic so then to be told preg and every thing ok is amazing. They always look like i din't need to know all that hehehe teach them for asking hehehe

Whats with the lifting up my top to feel my fat belly STOP IT im only 14 weeks its fat Ahhhhhhh Angry rant over

thistlelicker · 09/11/2013 15:01

Today I've had a small brown ish discharge. Trying not to worry HmmHmmHmm

thistlelicker · 09/11/2013 15:12

I'm scared I would be wasting somebody time if I got checked but I want to know my baby is okSad

moominleigh94 · 09/11/2013 15:41

thistle I hate that we have to worry about these kind of things. I hate that selfish, insensitive twunts exist in the world who might actually accuse people of wasting time, but at the same time, I'd say if you're worried, get checked - and if you get accused of wasting time, sod them! At least you'll know your baby's ok.

Xavielli · 09/11/2013 16:01

No

Xavielli · 09/11/2013 16:03

No one will think you're wasting their time, if they do they're in the wrong job. TMI but have you had sex in the last couple of days? It's not unusual to have a bit of old blood afterwards.

thistlelicker · 09/11/2013 16:16

We dtd not yesterday but day before! - I'm wearing a pad, nothing on it ... Guess that's got to be good ?

dobedobedo · 09/11/2013 16:33

Thistle it sounds like old blood, probably nothing to worry about but if you are worried, get checked out and don't let it bother you if they think you're over reacting. I'm sure they'd be the same!

So ex mil has been out with ds since 12,30. I texted a couple of hours ago and have heard nothing. They probably haven't kidnapped him, right? Confused

Dh says they're probably in the cinema but ffs, I wish she'd check her phone! (i understand I'm probably being neurotic)

Xavielli · 09/11/2013 19:50

Have they turned up dobe?
