13- you make me feel tired just reading that!!

I've been to the Waffle House for brunch with friends then wandered slowly round the nice shops near there and got a gorgeous blanket for gizmo from the white co..

Home now- trying to motivate myself to commence bag packing.. Especially in view of last nights hosp episode and lots of tightenings today. Am sure if I get this bag packed it'll settle.. !

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 16:19

Sorry for the awful spelling lol my phone seems to think it knows what I want to say!! Lol

Chelsealady · 06/11/2013 16:27

Well i am now officially on my own. My so called dedicated boyfriend has left me and will not explain why. Really hoping all this upset and stress doesnt make me go into early labour:(

itsliz · 06/11/2013 16:35

loki that sounds like a lot of hard work to me, no wonder you're shattered!
Having the flu has left me housebound for the last few days (sounds dramatic but it turns out it's not easy to get things done when you're coughing and sniffling on top of the usual pregnancy aches and pains!) so I'm actually looking forward to popping to the supermarket with DP this evening and feeling like I've done something productive with my day. How sad is that?! Hmm

Mildred you're making me nervous on your behalf now...! Get that bag packed and keep us updated, won't you?!

5ammy just reading that has left me fuming so I can't begin to imagine how you must've felt! Definitely sounds like a good excuse to put those pregnancy hormones into action and kick up a fuss!

stom I don't blame you for effing and blinding, I'd have been the same! Glad your day got a bit better in the end though Smile

And mum I wish I could say I was all bump... Was doing pretty well at losing weight before I got pregnant, but now that I'm not going to the gym anymore my arms and thighs seem to have ballooned! It's making me pretty miserable tbh but I just have to keep telling myself that it'll all be worth it.
DP has already promised that as soon as I'm ready to go back, he'll take care of the little one while I'm at the gym, bless him Smile

Made a start on washing and sorting all of our baby clothes today, which is taking longer than expected as I keep stopping to make 'aww' noises or pair things up to make little outfits! Grin
I also didn't realise how much stuff we've ended up with! At last count:
2 snowsuits
42 sleepsuits
40 bodysuits
6 vests
6 tops
4 trousers
2 cardigans
12 hats
9 pairs of scratch mitts
6 pairs of booties
8 pairs of socks
45 bibs (and 2 dribble bibs!)
And a pile of 'big boy clothes' that haven't been sorted through yet!

...For those of you who have done all this before, is that too much or does it just seem like it?!

LadyMedea · 06/11/2013 16:59

Aah jacket potatoes! That's what we can have for tea. Thanks for the inspiration whisper.

So tired today. Had my haircut in town (looks so much better) and then afternoon with friend and her too little ones. All I did was sit down and occasionally plait hair and I'm shattered. Need to make the car seat blanket for the friend I'm visiting on Friday so must be more awake tomorrow. Need to make ours as well as its getting cold. And I'm 36 weeks tomorrow!

liz you have scared me into doing more shopping. I am convinced we need more.

Oh chelsea I'm sorry to hear that. If he has left you then you are better off without him, cuddle in close with friends and family and remember you have a little one who will soon be with you. PM me if you want to vent or anything.

Alyssa mentioned your DP's comment to DH - he said "I'm surprised she didn't slap him." I agree, think you should.

mildred please pack the bag - you're making me nervous

On the running theme of weight gain etc - I am cleared for the birthing centre and MLU. The only caveat is I must keep my weight managed for the next five weeks and nothing can change. Here's hoping! Been down the gym on the treadmill today and went swimming afterwards, so start as we mean to go on!

BohemianRaspberry · 06/11/2013 17:19

Oh god just weighed myself ... and now in tears again. I have googled pregnancy weight gain and actually I haven't gained that much but it's still a horrible shock to see those numbers so high again

(I lost a lot of weight (3 stone) about one and half/two years before getting pregnant and even though my current weight is not that level yet, I'm still so sad!)

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 17:40

I've put on 8kg so far.

chelsea what a douche bag! You're probably better off on your own if he can do that. Stay strong and close to friend. We are all here for you. It'll be hard to start with but you will get there. Message me if you need to chat.
Just focus on the positives. You will have a cute little baby in your arms soon enough and that will be all that matters xxx

MildredH · 06/11/2013 17:50

Chelsea- I'm really sorry to hear that. Can't imagine how you're feeling but as said before- better to find out now if he's that kind of person.. Have you got ppl around you for support in RL? Xx

MrsShrubs · 06/11/2013 17:53

so sorry chelsea sending you massive hugs Sad

itsliz I thought we had loads but it's nothing compared to that, cannot wait for next Friday when I finish work and I can go raid the shops, although I have got my baby shower on Saturday so might end up with some more bits then Smile

loki I'd be shattered at that point!!

Ladies step away from the scales, they are never going to be our friends at this stage. Don't go near them until about 6 weeks after babies here and go from there.

Think DH and I are going out for dinner tonight, cannot wait - he's been working 15 hour shifts for the last week plus he was on call Friday night and we got woken at 2am for him to go to an emergency at the hospital so I feel I haven't seen him properly for a while. Looking forward to some date time!

Featherbag · 06/11/2013 18:11

chelsea I'm so sorry to hear that, can't imagine how shit you must be feeling! really hope you've got lots of people around you who love you xxx

Alyssa your DP sounds like a twat, he needs a good kick in the balls for that one!

Mildred pack the bag already!!!

I went for another float this morning, it was lovely, then got to catch DS dancing in the cutest way with another toddler when I went back to the crèche! They were sort of squatting with their elbows out, waggling their little bottoms and squealing with laughter!

Had my very last MW appointment this afternoon, she's still adamant he's head down but I'm just as adamant I'd have felt him turn all the way around, and I only had a scan showing he was breech last week! In fact the last 2 scans have shown him breech, even just after she's declared him to be head down! Still, 15 days to go, and it really doesn't matter which way up he is as he'll be delivered by cs even if I were to go into labour now. Feels odd knowing I won't see MW until after he's here!

Featherbag · 06/11/2013 18:13

Oh, and to those worrying about weight, as of last week I'd put 17kg on. Yes, 17. But I have been a right pig, and my mobility's been horrendous for months now, so it's hardly surprising. Looking forward to getting back on the straight & narrow, and hoping breast feeding will work out too as that'll help!

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 18:20

I had no choice but to go on the scales I promise lol the mw asked me too lol.

That's sounds lovely mrs I'd love to go out for dinner.
Dp was going to surprise me with some new duck feather slippers (I keep pinching his slipper as I don't have any) but I said to him I was going to by some today so he had to tell me lol. Bless him.

I really should start dinner but I've had such a busy day I'm pooped lol

feather I'm rather jealous of your floaty ness lol.

BohemianRaspberry · 06/11/2013 18:21

shrubs I was only weighing because of wanting to stay in the birth centre - I've avoided then all this time.

feather can you ask for a second opinion?

13loki · 06/11/2013 18:53

I accidentally let my phone run out of battery overnight. When I realised and charged it, I saw I had a missed call, which I returned straight away because DD is at a new childminder and I was worried I'd missed her calling saying she wouldn't settle. But it was DH, and he was in the middle of teaching a lesson. He panicked when he saw a call from me, and his class (who I have taught a few times, too) got really excited.

Alyssa1978 · 06/11/2013 19:18

whisper wankbadger has got to be the best thing I've heard lately lol

OMG its 42 sleep suits and 45 bibs lol, you definately won't run out Hun.

Thanks for the support girls, he's apologised and lots of it since, he said he realised how horrible that was to say and that he didnt think first, I still told him to fuck off and get a shave, hair cut and loose weight, he didnt like it but now he said he knows how his comment made me feel lol.

mildred pack your bag pack your bag pack your bag Smile

chelsea ds1's biological did the same to me Hun when I was 12 weeks pregnant, he caused me nothing but stress, I had ds1 at 37 weeks and shitbag doesn't see him at all, did for the first 4 weeks but not anymore and he's nearly 3. I'm now with my dp and aside from the recent comment he's lovely and treats ds1 as his own, we changed his last name to his and he's a better dad and partner than that twat ever was.

Chin up sweetie, it'll be fine trust me and take it from someone who knows, you're better off without him if he can do that....hugs xx

AngryByrd · 06/11/2013 19:22

chelsea
I'm sorry to hear your news. I hope your friends and family can comfort you. If you want to talk, I'm happy to be pm'ed. x

Featherbag · 06/11/2013 19:28

Bohemian it doesn't really matter anyway! it just narks me that she keeps insisting he's head down when scans don't lie! I'm having a cs anyway, and another scan before then.

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 19:31

alyssa glad dp saw sense and apologised !! I don't blame you for telling I'm to F off. He should buy you some chocolates and flowers to a

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 19:33

going to chuck this phone out the window
To apologise!!

Bit annoyed with dp he expects dinner to be ready when he gets on which is gone so I do it for 715 when he's home but he never gives me any warning he's going to be late!! He's texted at 730 to say he's just leaving it takes him an hour to get home. Just some prior warning would be nice a quick text or something. Now dinner will be ruined ugh

MildredH · 06/11/2013 19:53

Stom- know what u mean. DH has come in from work tonight, eaten dinner then gone back out to meet his boss. I feel slightly like the housekeeper/ cook!

He did have the sense to wash up after dinner though or there'd have been words!

Going to make most of peace and watch don't tell the bride!

beth27123 · 06/11/2013 19:59

Hi ladies,
I hope you don't mind me jumping in at such a late stage- I didn't realise where these threads were! I'm due 12/12/13 so 34+6 today! My first little girl and my partners dc4, we're very excited but I don't really have anyone to discuss the joys with currently.

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 19:59

My dp won't wash up. I'll have to do it in the morning.
I have 2 jobs a day to do 1 is to wash up and 2 is to cook
As I don't do fuck all else all day.

Doesn't make angry sometimes. Especially as it's starting to hurt standing washing up and I can't reach the sink now lol
Just be nice if one night he's wash up. I do it in the morning cos by the time we've had dinner I'm too tired to then wash up.
He does wash up on weekend but sometimes it's just nice if he does it during the week.

Stom91 · 06/11/2013 20:01

Welcome beth
You came in just when I was ranting about dp! Sorry! Lol

Hope pregnancy isn't treating you too badly!? We have a Facebook group if you want to join! Just pm me a link to your profile x

Alyssa1978 · 06/11/2013 20:20

Welcome beth I'm due December 2nd and I'm 36+2 I think lol

stom he's making my dinner tonight lol

Well I got my bf bras, I've gone from a 40DD to a 38E so bump has definitely dropped and she commented how much lol but cup size has upped as I thought it would.

Had the worst headache today that wouldn't go away, but after my 4th paracetamol and 2nd glass of water it's shifting a bit now, my blood pressure is fine so I think it's the crying episode from this morning.
