definitely get set up on etsy whisper even if it just helps a bit.
Grr I would have gone mad at the stupid woman in boots alyssa why do people think they have the right to comment on your shopping.
I have had the most wonderful day, i got told on monday to be ready for 9am, and nothing else, my DP had packed me a bag, and 3 of my friends turned up and took me to a spa day, i couldn't go in any of the steam rooms but did have a nice swim, and chill in the relax room, then had a mum to be pamper which was a leg and ankle massage to help with circulation , a very light bump massage, with a bump mask for stretch marks. Then a facial. It was so relaxing and topped off with a chocolate fondue and fruit to dip in. If anyone gets a chance to have the treatment at an aqua sana spa definitely do it.
ahh hope you start to feel better soon lady and thanks in advance for the new thread :)

kchapper what a lovely day. I'd love some pampering. Feel knackered after a busy day painting the nursery then dealing with 2 hyper kids this avo, having to do bedtime as DH is out. My ultrasound to check out the lumps in my boobs has been brought fwd to tomorrow. A bit nervous now. I know doc said its probably hormonal/pregnancy related but still on my mind....

Haven't caught up yet, just wanted to share this - I've just made the most beautiful anti-constipation flapjacks to take into hospital (oats also encourage milk production), they took no time at all and my god are they tasty! Recipe's below if anyone wants to make some, figured they'd be nicer than laxatives for after the birth!

100g butter
3-4 tbsp runny honey
85g soft brown sugar
100g chopped dried apricots
2tbsp mixed seeds (you could use nuts instead if you prefer)
350g oats (cheap porridge oats will do)
1 small banana, mashed

Put butter, honey and sugar into a microwaveable mixing bowl, heat until combined and warm (stir often)
Add all other ingredients, mix well
Spoon into deep baking tray/Swiss roll tin, buttered and with the bottom lined with baking parchment
Bake in the middle of a preheated oven at about 180 for 20-25 minutes, until starting to brown.
Put tin onto a wire cooling rack, once the whole tin is cool to touch turn out and slice - will keep well (?how long) in airtight Tupperware.
Try not to eat all immediately
Fail
Make more.

lady i have not heard of it?! i will ask next time i see the doctor. is it just a different kind of pain relief?
kchapper that sounds amazing!!! i'm so jealous.
brilliant feather i will give them a try if I can get my kitchen stuff to make it here before baby arrives...

Ok so I don't mean to rub it in, but it's 30 degrees today and not a cloud in the sky - I went for a walk on the beach then to yoga and am just amazed by this weather. almost too hot, but since we're right next to the water we get this lovely breeze. it's surreal. you should all come visit with the LOs :)

I am now knackered (an hour walk on the boardwalk + 1h30 yoga, lunch with a girl I met in class, and took the bus back). Going to lie down and probably nap in front of a show :) Mat leave is amazing. I am also in an extremely good mood today - let's hope it lasts. It's only 2PM for me - hope you all have a good night's sleep! xx

Whisper sorry to hear about your money problems. sounds like others have given you sensible advice though. def agree you should try to talk to your bank.
rose I'm very jealous. I can't believe it's still so warm there. does it get cold ever?
also can't believe we're nearly on a new thread so soon.
wishing you all a good night's sleep. (or at least, a not too shit one)

rose found the article on gas and air in the USA - rhrealitycheck.org/article/2010/12/16/callcomeback-many-faces-nitrous-oxide-labor-pain-relief/

I was really surprised considering how much we associate gas and air with labour pain relief in the UK.

Any news on how chelseas doing?

I just had a read of that lady I never actually knew it wasn't available everywhere.

rose that all sounds lovely, so jealous and glad you met a friend in class too.

feather they sound lovely.

kchapper that sounds like a lovely day of pampering, I've got no chance though lol... Ds2 slept out last night but dp obviously thought he deserved the lie in this morning even though I've been up at 4am every day for the last 5 as he is in bed and I'm up with ds1. I'm so sick of being tired and no one here seems to give a holy crap as long as they are fine.
I was so angry at the women in boots, next they will be commenting on everything.

bohemian that's funny, I wish I'd thought of that to say to her Grin

Really hope chelsea is ok

kchapper5 So jealous of your spa day, that sounds incredible! So nice of them to keep it all a surprise for you as well Smile
I've got a voucher that I've been meaning to use on a bit of pampering towards the end of pregnancy, so you've inspired me to get that booked sooner rather than later! Just not sure whether to go for a massage, a pedicure or really splurge and have both...!

stom I'm so glad I'm not the only one that doesn't feel up to socialising at the moment! Seeing my mum isn't so bad as she only wants to talk about baby stuff, but I don't know what to say to my friends as they've never been pregnant and aren't really interested in babies... I can't focus on talking about anything else at the moment though, haha!

mum Hope your appointment goes well today. We'll be thinking of you!

MrsShrubs Enjoy your last day! I was commuting to and from London in rush hour every day until the end of August so you've done amazingly well to last this long - busy trains full of grumpy businessmen are no place for us pregnant ladies Grin

I need to call Three today to sort out unlocking my old phone and moving my number from the old one to the new one...
Sounds straightforward but last time I had to deal with them I ended up feeling really stressed as they made everything more complicated than it needed to be.
Reckon I'll get away with popping into the store and getting a member of staff to make all the calls for me instead, on the grounds that I'm pregnant and don't want to end up with a high blood pressure again?!

Oh and for those of you not on the Facebook group, just to let you know dizzy went into early labour last night!
She's in hospital so in the best possible place, but not really sure what's going on yet.

Morning all. Hope everybody is well.

liz I would just demand a nice man in the store does it. Tell him you might go in to labour if you do it yourself. It'll soon get them working Grin

enjoy your last day MrsShrubs tomorrow you can have a lovely long lie in. It will be brilliant.

Hope everything goes okay today with you mum let us know what they say.

chapper Your day sounds lovely. You're a very lucky lady!

Hope everything is okay with chelsea

I have my Step Sister and her 5 month old coming over to the flat today at 1. She is the first person other than my Dad who has been in the flat since we moved in in May. I am currently slowly cleaning but I'm so tired Sad DP was meant to help me clean last night, but he forgot and has now tootled off to work leaving me with the mess. Bloody typical haha. I'm just a bit worried our flat will be a bit chilly for son, so I need to work out how to turn the heating on for a little bit.

Right I'm off to make cakes and flapjacks. Enjoy your day folks.

mrs happy maternity leave day Thanks

liz definately play the pregnancy card, we don't have much longer to use it Wink I think phone companies deliberately try to stress us so that we free to anything.

dizzy how early is her labour?
Hope she's doing ok, I'm gutted I can't join the Facebook group but I haven't had an account for 3 years and its probaly for the best I don't Hmm

Was really excited earlier, was on my gym ball and started having cramps, I didn't need the toilet or anything and I even had to run and throw up a lot and now nothing Angry

Well turns out it was another appointment for someone to feel my boobs! I thought it was an ultrasound but was for the specialist to have a look. She said that she didn't think it was anything to worry about but has booked into an ultrasound for next week for peace of mind. So more waiting but hopefully it's nothing.

rose so jealous of your lovely weather!

Exciting to hear about Dizzy- anyone know how many weeks she is? Hopefully all's going ok. And hope no news is good news regarding Chelsea

Really struggling with moving around today. Can't walk or bend everything it's just a lot of effort. And makes me short of breath. All I've done is try and have a little tidy up.
I really want to Hoover but I know I haven't got the energy and the washing up is staring at me.

Just feeling mighty fed up and huge now.
My best friend said that she would call this morning for for a catch up - she hasn't. I didn't think she would. I feel like one of those people that are easily forgotton. Like if I was to run away and not tell anyone no one would bat an eyelid.
When I moves 150 from my home town (not my choice) it didn't take any of my friends long to forget me.

I've only got dp. Who I love and he's my best friend/soul mate etc but sometimes you need other people.
Once dd is here i feel like telling everyone who wants to come round to bugger off cos they will only be coming to see dd no one has bothered with me over the last year. Not even asked how the pregnancy is going.

Sorry for the mega depressing post. I think my brain has had enough of pregnancy hormones! I have 5 weeks left and it feels like forever! :(

Stom I can't walk or bend anymore, but baby has dropped, making that worse but I can breathe and eat again! Grin

Hope dizzy and Chelsea are OK

I am going to make some bacon and lentil soup in a minute. I have half made bread to eat with it - I just need to punch down the dough, shape and leave it to rise again. I should hurry up, I wanted to let it rise slowly in the firdge but have been skyping my mum instead of baking. Aunty just saw my belly on skype and asked if I'm sure there's only 1 Sad

stom sorry to hear you're feeling fed up and down Sad I've got 5 weeks to go too- feels like forever!

I can't bend either- knocked over one of those wet floor signs in the hospital this morning and I couldn't pick it up- an old man came over and did it for me- I felt so stupid- an 80 yr old more able than me!

I'm wishing these will be the quickest 5 weeks ever!
