mrsksays · 29/10/2013 10:38

x0gawjus0x I thought we weren't supposed to eat blue cheese?

FoxMulder · 29/10/2013 11:13

Stilton's alright because it's hard (according to the NHS)

FoxMulder · 29/10/2013 11:16

Just twigged you mean it's your 21st b-day tomorrow gawj!! (Sorry, it just seemed to impossibly young my brain couldn't wrap around it Smile). 21!! Exciting! Where you going in Egypt? What sort of stuff you be getting up to there?

mrsksays · 29/10/2013 11:24

Fox YAY for being able to eat stilton!!

IceNoSlice · 29/10/2013 13:01

Thanks Fox - no we didn't celebrate Sad, both of us working on our laptops in front of telly box... But we are off to Centreparcs next week, so that will be our celebration!

I didn't get stretch marks until 38 weeks with DS, then BAM! All over my belly. Despite copious Bio-oil. I think massaging the bump (ie rubbing in cream) is quite a nice bonding thing though, just won't prevent the marks IME!

Happy birthday gawj, enjoy your day.

liberuna · 29/10/2013 14:19

Totally agree ice love the belly rub every morning. :) especially at 21+2 And still can't feel anything.

Happy birthday gawjus- silly question, is it safe for you to go to Egypt? Food and bacteria wise?

JustCallMeBaldrick · 29/10/2013 14:40

Stretch mark fairy's been here too :-(
However, it just means that my previously faded ones are now going pinkish again - I don't think I have room for any more after the boys! Having said that, I found some pics earlier of when I was expecting them, and I'm sad to say I was about this size at this stage with them... Absolutely no muscle tone left here at all!!

milkies · 29/10/2013 15:24

Hi all been AWOL due to personal reasons, hope all is ok with everyone - will catch up a bit but just thought I'd check in. Thought I'd have loads to catch up on but it seems to have slowed down a bit on here - welcome new Martians ! X

Blockette · 29/10/2013 15:28

Don't tell me that! I have been so good with my bio oil (am normally awful at skin care) - for nothing! Booooo!

rescoonetwothree · 29/10/2013 15:29

'milkies' was me Hmm dp thought that would be hilarious clearly...

Coolhand · 29/10/2013 15:34

Stretch marks - I agree use the creams to bond but doubt they do much to prevent them. I had none with DS but my mum didn't have any until her third pregnancy. I'm hoping to avoid them this time too but I'm conscious I'm a lot bigger so they may come but doubt it will be anything to do with creams/oils or lack of.

Took me until 10.30 to finish sorting out my clothes last night but it feels great to have it done. All the clothes I can't wear packed away out of sight and a remarkably slimmed down wardrobe left!

Happy 21st Gawjus for tmrw!

Coolhand · 29/10/2013 15:45

Was wondering who milkies was - glad to hear from you Greymoose - we need more team blue on here! Did your move go okay?

FoxMulder · 29/10/2013 15:53

Oh bugger, my colleague has just arranged with HR for me to have a parking space right outside work. It's very thoughtful & all but now I'm not going to be able to sleep in the car at lunchtime.

BakingEating · 29/10/2013 16:15

I miss Pram! When is she coming back to bombard us with clever/ funny things? Also, I need to tell her that 'Queenie' is a proper east London name, so being a t'northerner she might want to reconsider Grin

We had a great weekend in London catching up with the family and getting all the things we can't have in Germany. Basically we ate curry all weekend and now I feel huge! Also, when I told my niece that she's getting a new cousin soon she burst into tears!

Blockette · 29/10/2013 16:39

Ha that's funny, I was just wondering about you greymoose! Everything going well?

It feels like we are missing quite a few people - not heard much from lyra in a while either ..... (And others but I'm rubbish at remembering names!)

MummyPig24 · 29/10/2013 17:29

milkymoose hello! So pleased to see you back. And your dp was right, it was quite funny. Or maybe we share the same immature sense of humour. I suspect it's the latter.

I feel like a right fat pig at the moment, my tummy has had a growth spurt, it's enormous. I think I'm growing a massive fat baby! We will find out on Saturday if he or she is in fact normal sized and it's just my stomach muscles have given up!

JustCallMeBaldrick · 29/10/2013 18:05

I may have just eaten some a whole box of Maltesers while DH took the DCs to judo. My only defended is that the baby made me do it. Luckily, no-one knew I had them stashed away Smile
Welcome back greynoose

OwlinaTree · 29/10/2013 18:19

Hi all.

Happy birthday gawjus!

My maternity shopping was very successful, lots of lovely things to hopefully keep me going. Still need some skinny jeans tho, over the bump.

No stretch marks here yet, didn't get any last time either. My mum hasn't got them so maybe it's hereditary.

Beccadugs · 29/10/2013 18:24

Welcome back Greymoose!

I am using biooil, but it's making no difference! I hope at least it will help with the "healing" long term!

Oh fox, I sleep in the car at lunch time too!

Have spent the day with my friends 5 week old... Mega cute, and so snugly!

lumpylumps · 29/10/2013 18:59

Welcome back greymoose!! We've missed you.

feel pretty crap tonight. I've tested my wee and I've got a uti. Couple that with crap sleep due to Ds1 having a smokers cough and keeping the whole house awake!!

Cassiopeia01 · 29/10/2013 19:13

Welcome back grey and happy birthday gawj.i vaguely remember turning 21 but its so feckin long ago...

Am mighty pissed off today. Spent 95quid on a pair of Isabella Oliver trousers that were torturously uncomfortable. Under bump trousers and me clearly don't get on. To add insult to injury I got home and discovered a 4 inch rip on the seam on the arse. I have a horrible feeling my office has seen my lace pants hanging out of them. The humiliation... Blush Will be sending those suckers back this week. Ordered some others from seraphine that are half the price and I hope fit me.

And I also need to rant about my husbands bitch troll of an ex-wife who is doing everything she can to make me and DH feel shit about this pregnancy. We had the Kids this weekend and, after a night out for dinner and the cinema we were talking about this baby going to Disney in about 10 years. I made a flippant comment about them paying for themselves cos we won't be able to afford to take them all (they will be in their 20s by then FFS). They have mentioned it to their mum who sent. DH a text telling him the girls are very upset (she has form for making this shit up though so am not convinced they are upset) and if we can't afford to have them anymore we should just let her know. DH has been seeing those kids as often as possible for 10 years. Does she honestly think we are going to dump them just because of a baby coming along? She is an evil twisted bitter old hag. Angry

Phew. Sorry about that. I do feel better though...

PS this woman, who is allegedly only being protective of her kids , has no problems with getting so pissed she needs her kids to put her to bed and then telling them that she might as well kill herself cos she has nothing to live for. The hypocrisy drives me absolutely mental.

Double sorry about the rant there!!!!!!

apprenticemamma · 29/10/2013 19:30

cassie dps ex sounds p
like a jealous cow bagEnvy . Don't stress about her. Dp s ex goes the other way and gets all gooey eyed and overinvolved as do HER mother and sister. This time round it will be made perfectly clear that she will NOT be visiting me in hospital (last time, creepily, there she was laden with fucking Sunday times chocolate cava and baby gifts...bunny boiler!). Feel better for my rant also..

and...???Burts Bees Belly Butter! ?

apprenticemamma · 29/10/2013 19:31

I also like the odd cheeky pull over at the side of the road shut eye Wink

Cassiopeia01 · 29/10/2013 19:35

Ooh apprentice, that's weird. Not sure which is worse!! You are right. She is jealous and has been spending 10 yrs gearing the kids up to get them to ditch their dad when he stops paying ( her words not mine) so she knows that won't happen with a brother or sister on the scene. Most of the time I ignore her but I am having an angry day. Grin she seriously needs to get herself laid... Wink
