dizhin79 · 28/10/2013 08:12

morning all, not posted for a while, I was sleeping right thro and waking up shocked that it wasn't the middle of the night!!

However was awake at 5am this morning following a dream of giving birth, very easily u think I sneezed and out she popped!! weirdly had my fellas exact face just miniature, including facial hair!!! Eeeek!

liberuna · 28/10/2013 09:02

Ok im starting a sweep stake on how long it'll take me to get to work.

Been an hour already, finally got a bus that should take an hour to get me neearish where I need to get to.

Did the roof survive?

JustCallMeBaldrick · 28/10/2013 09:17

Hope everyone's OK this morning, and not too badly affected by the weather or pg symptoms!

lumpylumps · 28/10/2013 09:43

Morning all!! Hope everyone's survived the great storm!!! I'm still waiting for it to arrive!! Just a bit of rain so far

I'm stuck in today with a poorly boy. Well, he was poorly. Seems fine now!!
Hope the chicken pox don't get too bad. I found days 3/4 were the worst for both of mine. They had it young tho, 10 months and 1yr so didn't know how to scratch themselves properly which I think helped. Ds1 was covered but Ds2 had it quite mild. Just down the right side of his body. It was very weird!

I've had no more bleeding and baby has been really wriggling over the weekend. We're really struggling for a name tho!!

Good luck to any scanees today!

Blockette · 28/10/2013 09:49

Haha diz get the razor ready in your hospital bag!

libe got to be at least an hour and a half! maybe 2! - although it is half term so that may even things out....

  • hope the roof stayed up pirates! - I was worried that my horses stables would just be a pile of bricks this morning, but apparently they are all still standing!
  • well not long after I posted that I couldn't sleep I had the worst back ache / stitch/ cramp combo ever and ended up in a crumpled heap on the floor of the living room! (But still not sick this morning! - got to keep thinking of the positives!) Feel fine now, think I over did things yesterday :(
PiratesMam · 28/10/2013 10:07

The roof stayed on!!! Grin Sensibly though the builders aren't working today, athough they did turn up at 7am in the gales to check everything was ok. Bless!

I think we are going to have a day of DVDs and pumpkin carving today.

FoxMulder · 28/10/2013 10:44

Glad to hear you softie southerners have survived the great storm (or as we call it up north: 'a bit o' wind') Grin

Weekends are too bloody short! You just about get everything done that needs doing then it's back to work! (or is that just us?)

So here I am in the office again. Same shit, different day.

I've not felt any movements yet, I don't think. Certainly not any convincing ones. I'm 19+3 today. I was reading one of these weekly pregnancy e-mail things which told me I might 'need to start slowing down soon'! Ha! If I slowed down any more I would actually stop. So, you know this surge of energy we're supposed to get in the 2nd trimester? Does this just mean you should feel back to normal, or that you will get some sort of additional energy? Because I don't recall feeling particularly energetic even before I was pregnant. Especially not in November.

It's 10 years on Thursday since I met my lovely DH Smile. I'm hoping we can go out for a nice dinner. Just need this mythical 2nd trimester energy to arrive first!

Blockette · 28/10/2013 11:47

Lol! Your whole post made me laugh Fox!

Ahh congratulations on your anniversary too - it will be 10 years from DH & mine's first date on Halloween!

  • I'm thinking that they just mean you will be able to survive the day again Fox (supposing you are only up for 10 hours and all you do is sit down). That's my take on it so far anyway!
Coolhand · 28/10/2013 11:48

Pirates - so glad your roof survived!

Really hope Floaty gets to her scan appnt.

Liberuna 2 and a half hours I reckon!

So I am having the luxury of shopping alone in town. Can't remember the last time this happened. I'm not even much of a shopper but this is sheer bliss. Trying to get some Christmas shopping done but so far have only managed to top up my very sparse maternity wardrobe (though not with actual maternity clothes which I've all but given up on).

FoxMulder · 28/10/2013 12:06

Can't believe it's 10 years for you on Halloween too Block! (well, I can believe it, but you know what I mean - it's a coincidence). No one can accuse us of rushing into things with our DHs though hey! I think it's important to know a man for at least a decade before having his offspring Grin. How did you meet yours? Mine was a Halloween house party. I was really drunk and I thought he was cute & that I would therefore snog him. I was reluctant to give him my number though, as I had recently had a run of giving my number to rather dodgy boys. I was a bit embarrassed the next day that I had snogged an 18 year old! (I was 20). I told my friend of my shameful activities and she advised me 'you can't see him again!' Grin

Blockette · 28/10/2013 12:59

Ahh that's a better version of mine! - also at a Halloween house party ... and we snogged, and .. well .. other stuff! - (he is two years older then me! I was 18 he was 20!) Then he yelled at me in the morning and wouldn't speak to me for an hour as he didn't realise it was my first time until it was too late and he felt bad that it wasn't more special! Blush couldn't get rid of him after that .... Grin

April13 · 28/10/2013 13:07

Hi All,
Hope you are all doing OK with PG and the wee bit of wind ;)
I myself am absolutely shattered. I thought you were meant to be tired in the 1st trimester, energetic in the 2nd and exhausted in the 3rd? I am exhausted now! I wish you could have fully paid mat leave from the day you find out you are pg...that would be nice :)
Good luck to this weeks scans, I have 20 week scan #2 tomorrow (22 weeks), and I am hoping this baby plays ball this week! I am taking a bottle of Irn-Bru with me just in case he/she needs wakening up and a wee caffeine boost!

liberuna · 28/10/2013 13:23

Ok only 2.5 hours to get in.

Ahh on the anniversaries. Its my OH b'day this weekend so really need to get cracking on gifts, as I've realised everything I got is baby related. Need to make it a little more about him :)

Did consider naughty lingerie but am feeling soooooo unsexy these days

Glad everything is still standing peeps.

FoxMulder · 28/10/2013 14:06

Oh Block you tart! Grin

My DH texted me the next day asking if he could come & see me again, and I didn't have the heart to say 'no' (plus I was hungover to fuck). Then when I did see him again he was so shy he didn't speak 2 words to me, so I got drunk (I was a student, OK?) and sort of talked AT him all night. For some reason he came back the next weekend and somehow it all worked out. He's not shy anymore. It took us a good couple of months to get to the sex bit! But we were both virgins, so that probably had a lot to do with it.

April I'm with you on the paid mat leave from when you find out you're preg. I had no idea it would be this hard. If I ever get pregnant again, I think I'm quitting there and then. Assuming I'm a millionaire. Which I obviously will be Smile. Good luck with scan number 2!

lib What you getting DP for his b-day?

lumpylumps · 28/10/2013 14:17

April I'm exhausted too. I don't remember being this tired before!!

MummyPig24 · 28/10/2013 14:27

We are surviving chicken pox. Just about. Dd not poorly or too itchy yet, just spotty and normal. My friend has taken ds to the park for a bit so he can have a run around.

We have played with Lego, done sticker books, made cakes, watched a film and now I am trying to get dd to relax but she's just leaping around.

April13 · 28/10/2013 14:31

i just feel like i have been hit with a bus! I was OK during first 16 weeks, only seems to be now its hitting me. I was looking forward to blooming as I have never bloomed in my whole life lol!

floatyflo · 28/10/2013 15:37

I made it to the scan...yippee! Baby is lovely, healthy and oh so unco-operative Grin.

We are teeeeammm...

Pink! Couldn't be anymore chuffed :)

Cassiopeia01 · 28/10/2013 15:58

Congratulations on your news flo! Very exciting !

Am also feeling like I have been hit by a bus. This 2nd trimester blooming is proving to be very elusive!!

lumpylumps · 28/10/2013 17:39

Yey!!! Great scan news. Come on tho boys, the girls are whooping your arse!!

Greysgirl79 · 28/10/2013 18:25

Hi all, can I join? Am due mid March and am 20 + 1. Had my anomaly scan last week, so was waiting until then to say hello.

floatyflo · 28/10/2013 18:37

Hi Greysgirl Congrats on your pregnancy :) do you know what you are having? Is it your first?

No sign of blooming here either Cassiopeia Just a yellowing grey complexion, tiredness and heartburn. Been a more symptomatic pregnancy this time round. With ds I got off verrry lightly with only heartburn towards the end.

MummyPig24 · 28/10/2013 18:51

Hello greysgirl.

Congrats floaty!

Literally can't wait till bedtime tonight, it's been the longest day in history. Dh has bought be a tub of Ben and Jerry's so I know what I am having for dinner!

I definitely don't think I'm blooming, just blooming enormous.

Greysgirl79 · 28/10/2013 18:59

Thanks Floaty and Mummypig. It is our first child and we didn't want to find out the baby's gender, so we are team yellow. I echo the sentiments regarding feeling tired/exhausted, but am so grateful for this baby as we have been trying for three years.

IceNoSlice · 28/10/2013 19:48

Welcome Greysgirl and congrats!

Yay Floaty, glad it went so well! Another for team pink.

Congrats Fox and Block, that's so funny. It is my wedding anniversary today, seven years married and we got together in mid Oct so we celebrate that too - 11 years total Smile

Lyra, MTBMummy, where are yoooooou?
