New thread, hoes!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
IceNoSlice · 25/10/2013 21:21

Hello, just caught up after having the busiest afternoon/evening at work. I knew I'd pay for arsing around this morning. Oh well, it was a good excuse to have a chippy tea and extra battered sausage for the baby

Pirate yay! Grin really looking forward to the break.

BWP, I will send you a PM. Are you on the mobile site or the desktop site? Either way, at the top you should see a button for 'inbox' with a wee envelope. Click it and you'll hopefully see my message. In that section you can send PMs. I think it is easier on the desktop site as you can PM direct from someone's post.

lumpylumps · 25/10/2013 21:26

*midwife

lumpylumps · 25/10/2013 21:28

Oops. Try again!! madwife are you about?? I've just got back from the assessment unit with more bleeding. Apparently I've got an inflamed cervix. They've taken a swab. Is that the same as cervical erosion??

PainAuxRaisins · 25/10/2013 21:50

Eeek for lumpy and the bleeding...and for pirates with the roof coming off! Fingers crossed for you both this weekend. I've spent most of the week off work with suspected anaemia (v dizzy/breathless/exhausted) hence lack of posts on here. My bloods came back today but my hb level is 11.9 (i.e. nowhere as low as I thought it would be). V confused - feel way worse than last pregnancy when it went down below 10. Without wishing to call the madwife (again) is anyone else feeling like this and if so have you had your haemoglobin levels checked?? Feel so low with this all. Really missing pram and her funny (albeit sometimes close to the edge!) posts. Hope you're ok pram and will come back to us again soon Halloween Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/10/2013 22:04

Hope everything's ok Lumpy I don't think cervical erosion is the same as inflammation. I had erosion after the IVF, I think it's caused by cervical cells migrating out of the cervix and becoming irritated. But I could've made that up. My cervix wasn't inflamed though. Hopefully they'll fix you up.

pain I feel exactly the same. I'm completely done in. All I do is sleep, try and force food in, try and do a bit of work and repeat. I am going to see GP next week and am going to ask for bloods. I haven't felt myself for the last ten weeks. It's massively getting me down as I just cant function.

liberuna · 25/10/2013 22:12

I know , it's not the same without her :(

Don't think its the same but had low bp qnd the stomach pain is still there. Went to assessment clinic after scan. Baby is fine ( you can add me to team pink by the way. woo hoo!) But as there are no other symptoms I got the standard " wait and if it doesn't get better, come back" now to try to sleep with thia pain.

lumpy and raisins I hope the symptoms subside and you get reassurances soon .

OwlinaTree · 25/10/2013 23:46

Hi all, on my weekend away in Oxford! Have been for nice burgers and to a bar where they gave me a drink in a jam jar. Me and DH ov getting old, not familiar with these studenty jam jar ways. Has been fun tho.

MummyPig24 · 26/10/2013 06:49

I'm sorry to those who are not feeling well. I hope you all get better soon.

owl I went to a local cafe the other day and ordered a smoothie and it came in this weird jug/jar thing. I was like "what the heck is this?!" I also went on a cocktail making class and we made one in a jam jar, with jam in it!

It's ds 6th birthday, how the hell do I have a 6yr old? I'm not old enough for this! I want him to stay my baby.

PiratesMam · 26/10/2013 07:35

Owl have a great time on your weekend away! I wish DH and I could do something like that ( although we wouldn't get the jam jar thing either), but we have no spare cash at all due to building work.

Mummypig happy birthday to your DS!! 6 is still little, don't worry! Is he having a party?

I am desperate for some time to myself this weekend, but DH wants to do "family activities". Urgh.

IceNoSlice · 26/10/2013 07:44

Owl you make me laugh Smile have a lovely weekend. Let us know if you get any other unusual receptacles. I had a cocktail in a teapot once. Maybe you will have your breakfast served on a frisbee?

Congratulations lib! Team pink! Hope the pain has gone and you're ok now.

Happy birthday Mummypig's DS! Have a lovely day and six is still ickle Smile

Lumps how are you today?

Oh man I am so tired and this is supposed to be my lie in but I can't sleep Sad. DS hasn't been sleeping well and I've been putting in the hours at work. Need to wind down this weekend - got to think of the little bean.

IceNoSlice · 26/10/2013 07:47

Grin at pirate's "urgh" at the thought of family activities! Ha ha! We're not supposed to say that, are we? But I so know what you mean.

lumpylumps · 26/10/2013 08:42

No more bleeding since last night. I am just sat wondering tho, I thought I'd posted on here but can't find it. Maybe it was on fb. I had awful pain in my foof on Thursday. Pressure and heavy like it was really bruised. I get it when I'm on. I wonder if there's any link?!

Coolhand · 26/10/2013 08:44

It's HALF TERM! I was really on the verge of losing my mind and have been super weepy/grumpy the last few days.

Annoyingly loaded with the cold AND I dropped and shattered part of the lid of my juicer last night which makes the whole thing defunct...argh.

Hanging out with DS this morning then having a very rare afternoon off. Meeting a friend for lunch, then going round a few small galleries to find a new painting for house. Have my eye on one but want to see what else is out there and would have to lie to DH about the price enjoy your weekend away Owl - v jealous.

Rest up all those really suffering and take Spatone.

Coolhand · 26/10/2013 08:51

Mummypig you made me laugh!

Congrats Lib.

BWP think Pram said she was banned before our thread so it's maybe not what she's saying on our thread per se. It's that the powers that be keep hunting her down (or that she keeps being reported to them by someone who doesn't want her on m/n). Either way, it sucks and the thread just isn't the same lively place without her. Hope all is okay if you're reading Pram and that your move goes smoothly.

Coolhand · 26/10/2013 09:07

Fox rules about duvets/pillows can be scrapped with co sleeping cot as they are in their own little contained space. Tbh, the only reason I am going with it is I am hoping it makes my life easier and I get more sleep. In my ideal world it will make night time feeds easier and if baby needs reassurance in early days I can comfortably lie with hand on baby whilst still sleeping!

F and T I went with the babybay. I had considered the Babynest as it can also be used as a Moses basket elsewhere in the house during the day and I liked that you could tilt it - DS suffered from reflux so couldn't lie flat and part of me expects reflux hell again. However, I read one review on Amazon where they said their baby could kick down the side netting bits and it put me off. My DS used to Kick like crazy on the side of crib and pushed off the bars to actually spin him round. This LO was very active in the womb as well so didn't want to take chance even though it was the only bad review I'd read.

Phew, think I'm finally caught up. Sorry for monopolising thread - hope everyone has an enjoyable Saturday/weekend!

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2013 09:40

I will let you know if breakfast turns up on a Frisbee ice!

OwlinaTree · 26/10/2013 09:46

Enjoy the 'family activities' pirates Grin. Enjoy your afternoon cool.

We are going to attempt to catch a bus today into Oxford, maybe to find more drinks in teapots or jam jars, maybe breakfast on a doily or something Grin

MummyPig24 · 26/10/2013 09:52

No party really. We are currently in the cinema with 2 of his friends, waiting to see Monsters University, then McDonalds afterwards. Dd is with the in laws today and they are bringing her back later on when all our family descend on us for tea and birthday cake.

When I picked up one of the children his mum said she didn't know it was ds birthday, I did say when I asked if he could come. Anyway ds is happy his little friends are with him.

owl you definitely need a birthday doily.

cool enjoy the half term rest!

MummyPig24 · 26/10/2013 09:53

pirates how about a "family" trip to soft play, where dh plays and you sit with a hot chocolate and a magazine?

BadlyWrittenPoem · 26/10/2013 14:31

Cool we used a sidecar cot for DD2 and it totally made things easier. Wouldn't have made so much difference with DD1 as she slept through the night relatively earlier but DD2 fed much more overnight (she fed more overall) so co-sleeping has been invaluable.

Coolhand · 26/10/2013 23:17

So came on here after a day out thinking I'd have loads of pages to catch up on - how things have changed! It's oh so quiet...

Hope everyone is okay. Mummypig hope all enjoyed the birthday cake! Lumpy hope you're feeling a bit better today.

Had a nice day though didn't get my painting in the end. We visited friends and kept DS up super late tonight in an attempt to compensate for the hour change. I'm hoping it works or he will be super grumpy tomorrow.

MummyPig24 · 27/10/2013 06:23

Yes, why is it so quiet?

What a shit nights sleep. I seem to have lost the ability to sleep and it's very depressing! My boobs were really itchy which made me not able to sleep, Nando was having a party in my uterus all bloody night. Seriously this baby never stops. Dd woke up a few times screaming.

Hope your ds sleeps late today cool. Ours have just got up which is ok seeing as old time was 7 something.

PiratesMam · 27/10/2013 07:26

Ours woke at 5.30 new time Confused but we told them it was still nighttime so managed to not actually get up until 7am! DH is moaning that he's exhausted Hmm - I want to tell him that he doesn't know the meaning of the word!

What does everyone think of these storms coming? I'm so nervous because we currently have a tin roof on the house ready for the conversion work next week, which DH keeps comparing to a sail! I hope we don't take off when the winds come!

Really can't decide whether or not to find out the sex of the baby on Thursday - I think we'll make a snap decision on the day...

MummyPig24 · 27/10/2013 07:49

I don't know about these storms, dh says we shouldn't worry but I am a little.

Will you tell everyone if you do find out the sex?

liberuna · 27/10/2013 07:52

So went to assessment centre to check out the stomach pain and they said baby is fine and come back if it doesn't go away. Being 4 days I decide to take matters into my own hands (Senokot). Logic being, if scans all clear it must be digestive. . Oh my god !!! the pain was intense and the cramps lasted all morning but by yesterday evening a light at the end of the tunnel (ahem pardon the pun)
And its all clear. Apologies for the tmi but im so relieved.

It's so quiet here
