Hi there, well here we are:
Matthew Colin born 18.07.06 at 9:44am after a difficult labour. Everything ok, lots of stiches and bruising but we are both fine, and Matthew is gorgeous at 7lb 8oz.

Missed DS birthday by 1 day!!

kbaby · 21/07/2006 12:42

Well Done Jersey, How many of us are still left to pop? Im 39 weeks today, at the most only 3 weeks left. That reminds me I should do a big shop next week and stock up on biscuits and cereal etc just in case something does happen.

Ive been trying to rest in the sun but its far too hot and DD hasnt been well again so i spent most of yesterday sat on the settee watching cbeebies and lion king with a clingy miserable 2 yr old.

HumphreysCorner · 21/07/2006 13:30

jersey-congratulations on the birth of Matthew. Lurve the name and if I ever have a boy he will be called Matthew. Hope you feel better in yourself soon.

Hi all

I'm a bit slow in posting I'm afraid but our gorgeous little boy, Zack, was born on Sunday morning at 5.31 Weighing 7lb 9oz.
Difficult labour following induction, ventouse delivery with episiotomy but felt really well quite soon after, I don't care anyway he is so adorable I'd do it all again tomorrow- well worth the wait at 40+13!!!

Congrats to all other July mummies and good luck to all those waiting

Congratulations Jersey and UsAndBump!!!

gosh UsandBump that's spooky, we were exactly the same amount overdue, were labouring at the same time (Emma born 4.38am on Sunday) and I also had induction, ventouse and episiotomy .

Am now overrun with relatives (grrrrr) but will try and find time to read all the recent posts and update soon!

Emma Caitlin absolutely gorgeous and doing well.

Good luck to those waiting xxx

agalch · 22/07/2006 08:02

Big congrats usandbump and jersey!!! Great names both of you,I love matthew and zack too.

Nice and sunny here but looks breezy so hopefully not too warm today,i end up looking like a limp lettuce leaf.

Will be 40 weeks exactly so dp has booked a table for 8pm tonight and has kindly offered to make mad passionate love to me after it and make sure i have it soon.

Don't know if after eating a hot curry i'll be up to it tbh lol.But i will give it a go,i can't wait to see my new baby boy or girl so heres hoping it works.

Have a great day all and hope we all don't have too much longer to go.

xx

agalch · 22/07/2006 08:03

Sorry meant i'll be 40 weeks exactly tomorrow

maewest · 22/07/2006 08:53

Congrats to usanbump and jersey, and stop showing off about being 40 wks algach

kayzed - don't worry, I am actually really enjoying this time. I hadn't realised how much my job was a constant background worry, even tho I really enjoyed it, I think I was a little too emotionally involved Being off work has allowed me time to relax and pretty much please myself. Have great respect for women who work right up to the birth and plunge straight in, but think I need a bit more time to adjust!

My mum is coming to stay on Tuesday, so will be good to spend some time with her before baby, plus she's a darn useful person to have around the house

madness · 22/07/2006 10:37

congratulations all of you with babies. monday, when I will be induced is getting nearer and nearer. Was desperately hoping I wouldn't need to be induced this time (bad experience with previous 2). Anyway, still saterday but slowly giving up any hope.

IamBlossom · 22/07/2006 12:13

Hey Wallace, I'm 40 weeks Wednesday and the waiting is doing my head in. I'd had DS by now so was kind of hoping this one would be early too......

Algach, dinner sounds nice. Enjoy the rumpy pumpy too! DH has had a major drought in that department for months now, and neither of us can really be bothered at the moment, I just don't enjoy it when I am this size, can't really participate IYSWIM!

Having a fantastic day today though. My week trapped at home with DS is over, he can go back to nursery on Monday afternoon and we can go out and see people again. I am proud of myself for the things we have got up to this week left to our own devices, painting, playdoh, crayoning, lots of paddling pool action, loads of reading of books, and yes, a bit of Postman Pat on DVD thrown in for good measure. As a break, DH has taken DS down to MILs for the day while he lays her wooden floor, and I have spent the morning either asleep, watching Sex in The City in bed, or eating yummy food! It is the most relaxing day I have had since DS was born I think, and I feel so refreshed, especially as it is nice and cool and rainy and DS slept the whole night through last night! Bliss!

Right, back to my 17 cushions and SITC with my cuppa tea, speak soon girls.

Big Fat Bloss (and I mean BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGGG)

Straightforward · 22/07/2006 12:18

Hi girls!

Congrats to everyone who has debumped - haven't checked since my last post as I was debumping myself!!

Trinity Lynne arrived on Weds 19th at 7.16am weighing in at 7lb12oz. 4 hour labour - will post details soon. Didn't have enough time on the iv for the strep b not to be a risk so Trinity had to have iv antibiotics for 48 hours, but it didn't bother her and we got to have a good bond before coming home.

Will catch up on posts v soon - good luck to all of those still in waiting.

Straightforward · 22/07/2006 12:21

Forgot to say - gave birth on due date for second time! Statistically v improbable (and DH says I'm a dirty show-off!)

agalch · 22/07/2006 13:17

Well done SF!!!!

Sounds like it all went great for you and love Trinity as a name.

Hope you are taking it easy and enjoying your dd.

xx

Wallace · 22/07/2006 18:08

Congratulations SF xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Bloss - sounds like you've been having a lovely time with ds, but nice that you can get out again! I was 3 days early with ds, and 2 days early with dd, so really hoping not to go overdue!

Congratulations to all those with their babies.

For the past 2 nights ive been getting backache and lots of BH's Ive also been getting snotty discharge but so far nothings developed any further.
Im hoping DD isnt ill again as the thought of having to labour and then be up at night with the lo all without getting a decent nights sleep due to DD scares me.
The house is all finally finished so my plan this week while DD is at nursery is to lay on the settee and rest- No more housework!

agalch · 23/07/2006 09:13

Kbaby, you know you shouldn't have said that!!!
You will go into labour for sure and get no rest on the sofa this week lol.

I am 40 weeks exactly today but i have no signs of labour whatsoever
My curry last night has done nothing so far but i live in hope.Didn't manage the sex cos i felt too stuffed after my food. But have sent dp off to work knowing that he has to do the biz tonight. No pressure then he says.

Oh well i'm off to the park with ds2 and dd (ds1 away on hols with gf and her parents) before it gets too hot.

have a great day all you girls who havn't popped.

xx

JeanieG · 23/07/2006 15:10

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick one to say that Abbey Heather arrived on Tuesday 18th at 00:38. Labour was really quick, and a really good experience.

Abbey weighed 6lb 15oz and is just fab. She also the image of DH.

Finding BF really hard at the moment though as she seems to be permanently attached.

Anyway, good luck to everyone still waiting. I hope all your labours go as well as mine did.

agalch · 23/07/2006 19:49

Well done jeanieg

Abbey Heather is a great name.Keep up the bf,you are doing great. It's much harder than ff at the start but so worth it,i promise you!!

Once bf is established it is so much easier than ff honest.I ff ds1 but bf ds2 and dd and will bf this lo too.

Congrats and hope things go well for you.
