hi girls,
Well baby still hasn't arrived so i'm having a sweep sometime tomorrow, (not looking forward to it).
Still do not have an induction date.
Just had a bbq so now got to tidy the garden and the house but before that got to bath kids and get them in bed esp as they should of been in bed at 6.
Hope everyone is well and will let you know how things go tomorrow.
Take Care
Lilianna

Congrats puddy and pinkdolly on your little ones, lovely names. .

Still waiting 39+2. Hoping to avoid tomorrow though as DS 2nd birthday.

Still very achy but no signs of everything else. Went in hospital friday as blood pressure had been up for 3 days and I was feeling crap, but after 5 hours decided everything was ok and I could go home.

Hoped they would induce me but no luck. So agree re elephant pregnancy , think I will still be preg by christmas.

Can someone turn the heat down a bit please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

jersey · 16/07/2006 21:43

Sorry forgot, good luck with the sweep Lillianna, I've been told they will do one at 41 weeks if I haven't gone by then.

jom · 16/07/2006 23:33

Bye ladies I'm off to 'the other side' as being induced tomorrow [excited and scared emoticon] Will let you know how I get on as soon as I can.

Take care all and hopefully someone'll be joining me with a bit of action tomorrow!!!

agalch · 17/07/2006 07:08

Morning everyone!!!!

I am soooo happy, this is the first day of my mat leave . Of course i woke up at my usual time and couldn't get back to sleep but it's fine when you're not working eh?

Good luck for today Jom,can't wait to hear your news

Lilliana i have had a sweep and mine was fine,no worse than an internal, hope you get on ok,let us know how you go.

Hope everyone else is geting on ok with the waiting/feeding/lack of sleep.

Dp has asked if i can wait till next week to have the baby as it would be hard to get time off this week lol.He has asked my mum to come and babysit to let us go out for a curry and he will in his words "do the business" and then the baby will arrive at a convenient time. You'd think this was our first instead of our 4th.He is panicking cos he's the boss and some of his guys are away on hols, have told him as long as he can come home for the day for the birth he can take a holiday later. My 2 eldest will be a big help with dd and the new baby so i'll be ok on my own for a while.

Anyway off to hang more washing out so have a good day all

pinkdolly · 17/07/2006 09:43

Hi everyone,

Bumpy- The reason I was admitted into hospital was due to my BP being over 100 (bottom number). Also had protein in my wee and v.high urate levels. Which apparently can be very bad for your kidneys.
My midwife is coming around daily to check my BP, yesterday it was 95, which has crept up again since leaving hospital on friday.

The midwife told me it can take up to 6 weeks for your BP to settle down again. Cant really say that I have been swollen anywhere tho.

Good luck to those being induced, hope everything goes well.

I was really nervous about being induced but in the end it was fine. They just popped my waters and less than 2hrs later I was holding my baby.

have a good day everyone, hope your not too hot.
bye for now

puddytat99 · 17/07/2006 12:26

Hi everyone

Well I made it through to the other side, 6 days late. Trying to type one handed as Alex is having a cuddle.

Will post birth story and photo later today, if I can figure it out.

Coping ok so far. Have had a few bf dramas, having never done it before. Mw coming later so will have a chat. At moment have one breast larger than other, so feelng even more a freak with my massive breasts. Also not getting much sleep, just 3 hours last night. As this one is engorged, struggling latching on, so any tips, would be gratefully received.

Pinkdolly- Huge congrats on Jasmine Hope, what beautiful names. Hope everything is going ok.

For those of you still waiting, I hope you'll all be holding your babies very soon. Take it easy in this hot weather. I didn't really suffer too much with swelling while pg, now have huge elephant feet (normally size 5). Can't get my shoes on

Sorry for long post. Alex sends you all a big hug.

maewest · 17/07/2006 14:11

Good luck with the feeding Puddy, and keeping cool.

Had mw appt today, had got it into my head that it was tomorrow and only just remembered in time so got bit flustered and had to call a taxi. Anyway, saw the nice smiley other mw, baby's head is starting to engage, about 2 or 3/5. Slightly back to back tho, so lots of hands and knees! She didn't seem too concerned and booked me in for two weeks, as everything is going fine. This would be 3 days after my due date, so fingers crossed I won't need that appt!

Off to stick my feet in a bowl of cold water and crunch some ice - keep cool ladies

FirstAtForty · 17/07/2006 16:01

hi girls

quick one from the hospital bed to say that our little girl was born at 4.37am on sunday following induction. both well but being kept in due to jaundice (v mild) and impatient to go home!

name currently emma kate but still under hot debate! weight around 6lb 3 but not sure due to metric - she wasn;t huge anyway despite 2 wks overdue, phew. will post more details soon

love to all xxx

maewest · 17/07/2006 16:11

Congrats firstatforty, hope you and your little girl are home soon

puddytat99 · 17/07/2006 17:10

Huge congrats firstatforty and welcome to your little girl. How long are they keeping you in for? Let us know what you decide over her name.

Can anyone help? I want to post a photo of Alex but have no idea how to do it. KZ I know that you did one of little Roisin, so any help would be great.

Straightforward · 17/07/2006 17:14

Congrats first@forty! You did sooo well waiting it out!

Well, I was awake this morning at 3, thinking things were moving and by 5.15 I'd been having pain coming and going every few mins. I was just about to wake up DH when DD starting crying out in her sleep 'don't go, don't go, I don't want you to go to the hospital' (honestly, her 6th sense is really spooky at times). It send a bolt of adrenalin through me and basically stopped everything.

I remained crampy with occasional proper contractions but nothing really progressed. DH decided to work from home so he could be around, and fortunately my mum arrived at the weekend and she was on DD duty, but nothing has happened apart from me pacing around like a latter day Lady Macbeth and curling up in a darkened bedroom all day. Now I'm up and about a bit more but everything's trailed off apart from a dull crampy ache.

Sooooo fed up - I'd been really excited that this was the beginning of labour and now it's trailed off to nothing. I'm hot and tired and just hoping it's not going to go on for days like it did for KZ. Sorry to whinge, but at 3am I really was excited about meeting my lo and now it looks like I'm going to have to wait for god knows how long...

Wallace · 17/07/2006 19:20

I was just reading a book to DD and she managed to lean on my bump with her elbow to lift herself up. She really dug her elbow in so I hope the baby is ok. Its moving etc but still she couldve hurt it or something. Cant help but worry now.

FirstAtForty - well done on your little girl. hope your soon home.

HumphreysCorner · 17/07/2006 20:52

Massive congratulations to puddy and FirstAtForty on the birth of your lovely babies.

lilianna · 18/07/2006 00:54

Hi all. Another dp here with orders. We had a gorgeous baby girl at 1130 yesterday morning(17/7). Tiffany Marie was born naturally and still in the sac until she was out, which apparently doesn't happen very often but isn't a problem. She weighed 6 lb 12 oz. Baby is feeding extremely well and both mother and daughter are doing great. Should be home today (18/7). Lilianna is happy not have done the sweep. Anyway take care, congratulations to all the new mums and good luck to those still waiting. I'm sure Lilianna will bring you all up to speed when she comes home.

carol3 · 18/07/2006 01:30
