Hi ladies some of you may have seen on fb that I've spent the night in hospital. My little munchkin was struggling to breathe because of the cold so we took her to a&e and it turned out it went to her lungs so she had to stay in.
I've never been so scared in my whole life Confused.
Will update later. Hope everyone is ok x

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/11/2013 09:39

Bel hope she's feeling better soon

I'm holding off on calling the midwife, mainly because its an answering machine and they only call back after 5pm (so no rush) but also I think the pain is easing. Baby is nice and active so going to hang on an hour and make a decision then

Quodlibet · 16/11/2013 09:43

Poor Lara. How scary for you. I hope she is feeling a bit better today. She's getting well looked after but it must be horrible for you.

MotherOfCleo · 16/11/2013 09:51

bel I can only imagine the panic, glad she is doing better today though! Thinking of you.

CatsCantFlyFast · 16/11/2013 10:06

Whoever was asking for custom cot mattresses they do them here

BelissimaLol · 16/11/2013 10:33

Thanks all. It looks like we will spend another night in here as she is still wheezing Confused

Cavort · 16/11/2013 11:53

Sorry to hear that Lol but I am glad they're keeping an eye on her and you're in the right place. I can't imagine you're getting much sleep though, hospitals are so noisy. I hope you're out soon.

Good news that things have calmed down Alex and hopefully your bleed is just one of the many unexplained things that happen when you're pg and nothing to worry about. I'm selfishly disappointed that it's not labour though, I am looking forward to another birth and newborn. Grin

Merk are your pains on the inside or close to the surface IYKWIM? I'm just wondering because you said the other day about a bruised fanjo feeling, which is how my SPD started, so if you were to have SPD your pains could be becauase you've done something to aggravate it? It might not be but just a thought. Despite the bruised feeling, I didn't really know I had SPD until I did half an hour of breaststroke one day and spent the next 2 days having loads of painful pelvic pains. Good news that it seems to be a bit better today though.

I hate to say it but I'm with you cavort - whilst actually feeling quite panicky yet trying to appear calm (I drove Alex and her DH speedily to hospital on thurs night due to their lack of car) I was actually quite excited that baby might be on it's way. Selfishly hoping it's not too much longer as can't wait for a cuddle with the newest berry!

Lol - poor Lara. Hope she's on them mend quickly. Hugs.

Just had lunch with two old friends. Started talking about mumsnet, turns out she is one of the originals on the BESH thread. Feel a bit bad about rowing with them over Gail plait all those months ago - although as she has graduated I don't think she saw it. Small world. But I'm still on Gail's side Wink

MotherOfCleo · 16/11/2013 20:04

I am currently being used as a dummy, it is very annoying! He doesnt want to feed must just want the comfort. Frustrating though.

janey1234 · 16/11/2013 20:09

It's how they increase your supply u think. But, as you say, frustrating. And a bit sore to begin with too!

janey1234 · 16/11/2013 20:09

I think, not u think. Gah.

MotherOfCleo · 16/11/2013 20:46

HazleNutt · 17/11/2013 08:33

BelissimaLol · 17/11/2013 09:35

Oooh a BESH over here!!!
I don't even remember what the fight was about? Did Gail do something?
AFM we are going home. I'm so happy and relieved if a tad exhausted!
Mother it def gets easier. Hang in there.
Come and join us Alex Grin

MotherOfCleo · 17/11/2013 09:48

What does besh stand for? I vaguely remember thw stuff with Gail I think but not sure. Think she was being tongue in cheek winding them up and it spiralled.

Glad you're going home bel!!! Grin

I feel better as he slept last night 12-4.30, 5.30-9 everything is better after sleep Wink

Yeah come on alex Grin

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/11/2013 09:54

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/11/2013 09:54

Barren evil selfish hags mother

MotherOfCleo · 17/11/2013 10:11

Ohh catchy name Grin

I have a grin on my face as I just weighed myself and I've lost 5lb in 2 days, maybe breastfeeding isnt so bad Wink

What happened to Gail, I seem to remember she popped in to tell us she got her bfp? Hope all went ok, she must be due soon?

CatsCantFlyFast · 17/11/2013 10:29

She's due Feb. she's still around and all ok

janey1234 · 17/11/2013 10:47

We did discuss you merkin, successfully bridging between the two opposing gangs Wink

I miss Gail. Tell her to pop by some time?

5lb - brilliant!

Alexandra6 · 17/11/2013 11:21

Back from hospital now and no more bleeding woop. Really wish they knew why it happened! No labour signs yet and after an agonising fingers check with a complete bitch doctor at the hospital yesterday, I don't seem to be dilating or anything. All the other staff at the hospital were so nice though, I just have to take it easy and go back if any more red blood.

Did anyone else have a show and what did that look like? Have you ever heard of bloody shows which look period-y? (Sorry if anyone's having brunch as I bring up that lovely topic!)

Alexandra6 · 17/11/2013 11:24

Oh and go mother, you yummy mummy Wink

MotherOfCleo · 17/11/2013 11:36

Alex I feel your pain re the internal, I had one at the midwifes on Thurs, 2 at the hosp on Friday, one done by an african man with possibly the biggest hands EVER, then the same huge handed guy broke my waters and forced my cervix open to almost 4cm. And they said 'oh this may hurt a little', geez understatment there I think. Blush Worth it to know where you stand dilation wise though, fingers crossed you're on the home stretch now!

Great news re Gail, chuffed to bits for her. Grin

Cheers guys, feel a bit more like my old self, back in my old clothes. Grin Still a bit of a swollen belly but nothing too bad at all.
