Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
BadlyWrittenPoem · 17/10/2013 18:54

Welcome back Kara and I'm glad to hear that all is well with your baby. Boo to nasty ultrasound lady though.

I don't look like I'm growing a baby - I look like I've eaten a few too many pies.

karamcleod · 17/10/2013 19:04

Missed you too pram, things are pretty shitty just now I've been ill, couldn't sit my driving test cause I was really sick and we didn't get to find out the sex of our bubba and I NEED to know so have to fork out for a private scan. Oh and I have a new dog that wants to eat me.

How is everyone and can someone maybe do me a quick summary of what's been happening cause I've missed everything since page 20 of thead 11 :o

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 19:18

Kara pleased you're back. Sorry you've been having a tough time of it. Really pleased the scan went well, but rubbish to not have found out the sex.

Moxy?! Crazy name. Also reminded me of amoxycillin!

Sorry to not have caught up more. On the bra front, I'm actually loving my mat bras. I'm a 32F normally, and probably need a higher size, but am holding out as they still appear to be growing. I still have cleavage and a nice shape in them Hmm

commsgirl · 17/10/2013 19:41

Fox cheap - collection 2000 lasting perfection, not so cheap - Mac pro longwear as recommended by Baking or studio finish if you've got oily skin, not remotely cheap but the best - Laura Mercier secret camouflage

Good news on the scan Kara and nice to see you back :)

Prambo3TheReturn · 17/10/2013 19:57

Marbie, name those bras

Kara, sorry about your woes. Here is a round-up: Lyra is venturing into the restaurant business with her fella; MummyPig's DH ran over a cyclist; Lumpy & Jolls are suffering with SPD; F&T is exhibiting cookie dough art in the Tate Modern; Damien Omen has been expelled; Foxy is under sedation after the attempted murder of her office colleagues; everyone is making fudge to send to the Syrian refugees; dwarves are the new black; I am in a mental institution after an antidepressant overdose ; Maybe's going back to work next week; Rockchick has a 34" leg; BWP has a big fat head; Moosey is going to use her placenta as a Mulberry bag; everyone is having a baby girl; Gawj's thieving bastard BIL is coming to stay; Ice has still not watched Jaws 2; Pirates has a naice path and Jolls has suffocated her fiance with her tits.

MummyPig24 · 17/10/2013 20:00

Kara, it's nice to see you back. I'm sorry you've been poorly but yay for a great scan and healthy baby!

I'm knackered today, cannot stop yawning and oh my god ds has not stopped talking. From the moment he opened his eyes till I took him to school, then when I brought him home till bedtime he yapped and yapped and yapped. Honestly, I love him so much but I wish he didn't talk such utter rubbish about Sonic, Skylanders and cars. Even when dh is here it's still "mummy". I'm like "talk to daddy for a change!" And dd has been a right whingy little madam too. God I sound really mean but I'm just on a short fuse today.

MummyPig24 · 17/10/2013 20:03

Pram cross post but I love the round up! Please do it more often. And I'm slightly worried about what close attention you've been paying!

karamcleod · 17/10/2013 20:05

Think I've just cracked a smile for the first time in a month. It almost hurts!

commsgirl · 17/10/2013 20:09

I think Pram keeps a notebook on us all.

mimili · 17/10/2013 20:09

Talking of boobs...18 weeks and today they started leaking! Eeek!

Hmm
LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 20:13

Nice round-up, Pram. I think it should become a weekly feature of the thread.

Mimili, did it freak you out? I've been looking for signs of leakage but nothing so far. I don't think it will be long.

mimili · 17/10/2013 20:14

Prambo what a great update. Phew I wont have to read the thread and catch up on what I missed (almost two threads!) eep!

Sorry to hear about those of you having a tough time. To all.of those having gender scans...stop tempting me to find out pleeeeease!!!

LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 20:15

Mimili, do iiit! It's so nice to know! I'm having a third boy Grin

Coolhand · 17/10/2013 20:16

Round up was brilliant Pram - v entertaining!

All well at scan today and it's a boy for us (though know many of you already know from f/b). Congrats Kara though frustrating when you want to find out the sex.

Quite excited as was not allowing myself any purchases until 20 week scan but can now indulge in a few bits and bobs.

I need to check out the Childcare Vouchers thing - I thought I could just cancel them a month before - it had not occurred to me that they affected my mat pay.

Anyway, pretty tired. Working long hours all week - didn't finish up until 1.15am on Tues. Going to aim for a 10pm bedtime tonight. It's nearly the weekend and I can chat to all you lovely ladies on here again!

mimili · 17/10/2013 20:17

Lyra a little yes. I've been ill with a cold so off work for two days and I was wearing hubby's PJ's and top as I dont fit in mine anymore. I looked down to see a creamy yellow stain on the right nip. Ignored it and then had a moment of realisation, a quick google, and then a squeeze!! Blush It is definitely that! Guess I am buying breast pads tomorrow!!

A blessing I guess that it was a few days after I came back from holiday and not whilst I was away!!!

apprenticemamma · 17/10/2013 20:17

lumpy lumps and ice sorry to hear you're missing out too due to childcare vouchers. No one, not even the ppl in hr (sorry don't wish to offend any working in hr but Wtf do they do if they can't advise on salary, entitlements etc??) bothered to tell me bout the voucher issue it was only thru a chance conversation with a friend of mine so it's a shame you have been similarly ignorant. I mentioned it to save any later on in march Martians the stress and costs of not knowing. I have philosophised that spread over the nine months it's only $15 a week... (still a shitload of money though).

Kara good to see you back. I hope I don't get your same grumpy pornographer tomorrow when I'm up at ninewells. I'm at nine so I'm going to have a coffee and chocolate breakfast to get Puffin moving Smile . May be back tomorrow asking where you're getting ur private scan done though Wink

Had a wee tiff with dh tonight but it was resolved with less of the usual drama. We must be getting better. Hurtful words exchanged and again the ' life is going to be tough' doom merchant chat from him was not helpful even if it was a heat if moment reaction to arguing. I often feel guilty that he's having a second family with me so it triggered my upset. I'm sure abu though.

pram of thrones your summary cracked me up!!! Loving that everyone is coming out of the closet with their dwarf fetishes Smile

cream crackered.....nightm. ps cassie three naps! !!!...blissSmile

karamcleod · 17/10/2013 20:30

apprentice I think she was just pissed of and wanting to get home, but we waited 45 minutes in the waiting room, my scan photo is utterly pish my 12 week one is better so not a happy bunny. I'm going to Aberdeen for our private scan.

I got 3 bras from mothercare for a £5 each they're bloody hideous but at least my melons are comfy. I don't think you can actually buy nice bras in a 36G :/

MummyPig24 · 17/10/2013 20:33

Oh god leaky nips! I had forgotten that little gem of pregnancy!

apprenticemamma · 17/10/2013 20:48

ah kara that's annoying. Of course the main thing is baby is healthy but a nice photo and gender confirmation is always a bonus. When's your private scan?

Did anyone else NOT get to find out gender at 20 weeks?

Ferl like there's no point in bothering so strong is my boy feeling!

Who else is up for tomorrow?

Beccadugs · 17/10/2013 20:56

Have totally managed to freak myself put finishing out what they look for at 20 week scan. Not finding out the gender. Scan is tomorrow!!

Must be more interesting and active on the thread in order to make it into Pram's round up!!

x0gawjus0x · 17/10/2013 21:21
