I'm loving PramofThrones and GameofPrams Grin

Muddle, I've been wanting to whet my whistle on that there dwarf since the first episode. When I was a stripper I danced for a group of dwarves who were on a stag do in Blackpool. What an incorrigible bunch of filthy bastards they were; a brilliant laugh. I kept asking them why they had chosen Blackpool when they were too short to go on any of the rides on the Pleasure Beach. One of them retorted, 'We'd heard that you were a dirty bitch who'd do owt for a fiver' Grin

Comms, I'm terribly sorry but I couldn't get further than 'Japanese restaurant' in your post. There are reasons for this but I dread to think how many trigger words would alert the mumsnet FBI. I can't think of anything worse than going into a cocktail bar and having a non-alcoholic drink. Mind you, that's coming from an alkie. I don't see the point in many things now I'm sober: Christmas; funerals; weddings; friends; St. Patrick's day; Saturday nights; Friday nights; sex. Everything becomes pedestrian when you can never, ever, ever have a drink again.

I'm awaiting my knight in shining armour: the Sky engineer. I swear if that man fixes my broadband properly I will do things to his ball sack that he never knew were possible.

Prambo3TheReturn · 17/10/2013 10:49

Jolls, how I smiled at your oh-so-careful post about 'not normally going for blonde men'. Nowt to do with the fact he's only 1'9" then Grin

SuperMuddle · 17/10/2013 10:53

Fab news gawjus!

Glad it's not just me with the Tyrion Lannister thing, foxand jolleigh. The actor who plays him is quite tasty...

Magpieblue · 17/10/2013 12:27

I liked that Tyrion, Khaleesi (and maybe others, though hopefully not Joffrey) all made the list of 2012 UK baby names. Poor kids hmm now wondering if DP will go for Tyrion

MummyPig24 · 17/10/2013 12:32

My friends daughter is called Tirion, born in 2008, it's a welsh name.

Great news on the scan Gaw

I hate Tesco. The bastards took £56 of my money

Jolleigh · 17/10/2013 12:34

Fox ' cough cough. The naughty way Hmm

Rockchick1984 · 17/10/2013 12:35

How's that happened Mummy??? I'd be furious!

Can I ask a stupid question (never watched game of thrones)... Are the actors normal height and portrayed as dwarves (like the hobbits in lord of the rings) or are they actually dwarves?

Jolleigh · 17/10/2013 12:37

Now now Pram, penis size is not proportionate to height. Wink

Magpieblue · 17/10/2013 12:38

I do like Tyrion, esp for a girl. Not so much Khaleesi or Bran.

Jolleigh · 17/10/2013 12:39

Rock - Tyrion is played by a real life little person. And he foes a fucking spectacular job of that role too (as you can probably gather from a few of us finding him sexy despite everything)

LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 12:44

Tyrion Lannister sexy? Nooo! Funny, yes, sexy, no.

FoxMulder · 17/10/2013 12:48

It's the attitude, I think. If you just saw a photo of him, you wouldn't think he was sexy. But there's something about the character...

LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 12:50

I know, but still no. I'd love to go to dinner with him. The witty banter would be most entertaining. But no sex. No, I'd have Khal Drogo waiting at home for me (not keen on the muscle boobs either but I'd make an exception for him Grin).

LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 12:52

Blockette, if you bf you'll have more than enough time for box sets. Can't remember if this is your first but when my first arrived I had hours where I'd be sat on the sofa bf. I'd anticipated being too busy for TV but the opposite was true. Obv different if you have other children too

MummyPig24 · 17/10/2013 13:15

Aha Rock well, I went to Tesco and managed to put £56 worth of shopping in my trolley and then I had to bloody pay for it.

I'm not actually very good at jokes.

IceNoSlice · 17/10/2013 13:16

Morning all. Glad your scan went well Gawj. I still haven't watched my Sopranos and The Wire box sets so I will probably catch up with GoT in about 2020.

Apprentice I read your post about childcare vouchers affecting mat pay and my heart sank. I'm now 21+1 and need to give a month's notice to change childcare voucher preferences so I've definitely missed adjusting them during weeks 18-25. Did it affect mat pay because it's a salary sacrifice and hence reduces enhanced mat pay? How did you calculate? I'm a bit concerned, I thought they calc'd on pay before that Hmm

IceNoSlice · 17/10/2013 13:17

MummyPig I got it. Bastards. Grin

Rockchick1984 · 17/10/2013 13:20

Grin mummy I thought it was on of those situations where they've cancelled an order but you've got to wait for a refund!!

Ice your mat pay is calculated after childcare vouchers. Do you get enhanced maternity pay? Are you aware that as long as you keep the vouchers going, once you drop to SMP / unpaid bit, your employer still has to provide the vouchers even if you're not earning enough to pay for them?

apprenticemamma · 17/10/2013 13:21

ice call the childcare vouchers people and call your payroll NOW. our cut off is next week so u MIGHT be fine. And u will definitely be able to cancel next months so like me in that case it won't hit as hard .

GOOD LUCK!

apprenticemamma · 17/10/2013 13:26

and as rock says every situations different, u might be fine.

Jolleigh · 17/10/2013 14:25

I just went for a bra fitting.

40J. Up 1 back size and 3 or 4 cup sizes. Bravissimo only do 2 larger cup sizes and very few of the one cup size higher that they rarely stock. I'm only 17 weeks and officially have no bras that fit. Fuck.

commsgirl · 17/10/2013 14:34

Jolls this is why I am currently living in a bubble convincing myself that my boobs are the same size as they were pre-pregnancy. they most definitely are not

Try figleaves or brastop.com.

Jolleigh · 17/10/2013 14:57

I had hoped that as I was already very well endowed, I wouldn't increase that much comms. Decided to get fitted again today because of an interesting tale DP told me...

Apparently at half 5 this morning I wandered into the kitchen, stark bollock naked and massaging my left boob while complaining of boob ache. DP led me back to bed for half an hour after feeding me a paracetamol. I didn't believe him until about 9 am when the paracetamol wore off and my tit started throbbing Blush

LyraSilvertongue · 17/10/2013 15:27

For those who were asking, have posted a link to the house on FB. As I said it's nothing special but will do us nice for a year or so till we're in a position to buy again.

FoxMulder · 17/10/2013 15:33

Oh Lyra, you tease, I'm at work and can't get on FB!

On the bra front - I'm still wearing cropped tops! Every time I have tried bras in the past I've found them unbearably uncomfortable.
