ooo... this is very nice wicked... what a way to welcome this baby!!

smitten - hug and Brew .You are probably just exhausted and hormonal. Hope a good night sleep will make you feel better.

nat perhaps you can build something for the baby with her? to get her excited? no idea otherwise... I'm sure she will love spending time with you whatever you decide to do!

Flyer747 · 12/10/2013 23:40

Wicked krug how very civilised Wine

Smitten Thanks hope you get some rest and feel better tomorrow. A good cry is sometimes just what you need.

kiwee · 12/10/2013 23:49

Wow a busy few days for new arrivals - congratulations all (I would try and remember you all personally but 'baby brain' has well and truly set in....I couldn't even remember Charlotte's name when someone asked me yesterday!).

Hope those of you hurling abuse from the back of the bus get your little ones very soon.

After being adament pre-birth that we didn't need a changing table and could do it all on the floor or bed gave up yesterday and went and bought one. After some quick calculations if you value it at $1/ change it'll pay for itself in a few weeks so I think may save my sanity (and back!) as getting on the floor at 3 in the morning a few days after c/s was not fun!

Cake and Brew for those SC/ SFW (though I'm sure a small glass of Wine won't do anyone any harm at this point!)

pinkbuttons · 12/10/2013 23:54

Havent caught up on the thread yet but Isla Elizabeth Rose was born this evening at 20:07 weighing a dinky7lb 2oz.
birth story quite dramatic but only because she decided she was going to force her way out so was very quick at the end, still got my water birth. Good luck to anyone in labour tonight and Congratulations if missed any birth announcements today. x

Flyer747 · 12/10/2013 23:58

Already congratulated you on fb pink but congrats once again to you and your family Thanks

MrsH maybe you are in labour again you've gone very quiet tonight. If not then sorry for being like an annoying friend in keep asking you/checking up.

moonblues · 13/10/2013 00:05

Congratulations pinkbuttons! Glad you got the water birth you wanted. :)

xuntitledx · 13/10/2013 00:23

Congratulations pink!!

FeministInTraining · 13/10/2013 00:44

Congratulations Pinkbuttons and anyone else I've missed.

As of 12am I am 39+6 without a twinge to report. Fed up now. Feels like everyone's had their babies and I want to ignore my phone. It's like people are trying to catch me out having contractions without daring to tell them. Either I have given birth and will tell you when I'm ready, or I haven't and you need to leave me alone. I'm not giving people constant updates although I may do on MN!

I really do feel for those of you who have had stop start contractions- as much as I moan about no twinges, it must be v frustrating to think you're getting somewhere and then it stop. I've never wished for pain like this before, every time I get a strong-ish BH I'm holding my breath hoping it will turn into a painful contraction. And constantly checking loo roll for mucus plug. Like ttc all over again!

Sorry for moaning, not even past EDD yet. And lots of you have been through a lot so I shouldn't complain.

Nat I hope you enjoy your last day as a family of 3 tomorrow whatever you end up doing, and glad there's an end in sight after the phases of reduced movements. Jealous of you having a baby v soon though, I'm sure we agreed to do this together Hmm

Brew and Flowers to all having a rough time feeding (however you're doing it) and looking after new babies, and to the rest of us still hanging around on the bus dodging spit-balls

chickieno1 · 13/10/2013 03:23

Congrats pinkbuttonsxx

Good luck soup

Hope you have a good day with dd tomorrow nat

How was party legally

Hope you're further along the SWIL scale mrshn

I ll be having a glass of something nice in a few weeks? Going to wait for a few hrs between feeds :) Maybe some champagne although I can't drink a bottle and dh not that pushed. ...... I'll wait til summer to have my gin and tonic :) Bombay sapphire for me.

roofio I'm feeling a bit low these last few days. I'm very irritable with dh but I don't think he gets the whole hormonal aspect of it and I'm not about to spell it out to him. Our babies have the same birthday so maybe it's the timing. I'll also be watching out for depression and trying to get out as much as possible. Don't really have a network as such here yet so have to work at it a little. Hopefully we ll feel better tomorrow.

jelly important you are happy with feeding as your family depends on you and you've a lot on your plate!

textbook sorry you have an infection again. Hope they can treat it ASAP.

All of you ladies due 13/10/13 hopefully you'll be that 5%

Sorry I've forgotten everything else.

chickieno1 · 13/10/2013 03:31

rox if gp is worried about mastitis you should be on fluclox not plain amoxicillin. Unless its co-amoxiclav. Check your prescription and check with gp. Maybe try ring bf helpline/lll for advice? Or look at kellymom.
Flowers for you and gt

BowlFullofJelly · 13/10/2013 03:53

Congratulations pink.

Loving all of the lustful booze talk. For BF I work on the basis of whether i can feel the effects myself - if i cant, baby is fine! Have been enjoying a glass of red each evening while cluster feeding (bad mummy!). flyer i can categorically say children and hangovers don't mix - the little sods don't care if mummy has a sore head!

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 13/10/2013 04:41

Hello ladies, my little baby arrived yesterday at around 11pm (need to find out the exact time!) weighing 9lb 3oz. And it's a boy! Can't believe it...was convinced I was having a girl after all that orange juice consumption.

Fantastic water birth in the MLU but post-delivery was very, very scary - had a rather dramatic PPH. Feel very bruised and battered right now.

He's had a few breast feeds but I'm starting to get sore nipples already. The midwives have checked and he is badly tongue-tied (like his mum) so I hope we can get that snipped ASAP x

Congrats on any new arrivals I've missed xx

Racheld33 · 13/10/2013 04:49

Congratulations pinkbuttons and bridget

Really hope you are both doing well and enjoying your new born cuddles Thanks

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 13/10/2013 04:50

Should just add he is totally and utterly delicious....I could eat his little chubby cheeks!!

moonblues · 13/10/2013 04:52

Congratulations Bridget! Glad you had a fantastic delivery, sorry about the PPH, did you have to go to theatre?

Hope you get some rest and feel better soon.

chickieno1 · 13/10/2013 04:59

Congratulations bridget!!! Hope you're ok after PPH. What did you call your ds? Hope the TT gets snipped for you quickly. Flowers

bowlful your glass of wine sounds yummy. You might be on to something wrt getting through cluster feeds :)

Readyasilleverbe · 13/10/2013 05:07

Congratulations pink and Bridget. Fantastic news. I know it's ridiculous but I still can't believe I'm going to have baby and every birth announcement reminds me that its getting closer every day!
Hope all is ok Bridget, sounds scary but great you had a water birth. Hope it all settles down soon. Back bouncing on ball here........! Xx

GTbaby · 13/10/2013 05:28

Thanks Rox. I don't have lumps of anything. Will check for red patches in morning.
Chick I'm on flucloxacillin for my stitches. So hopefully that will sort me out.

Iheartcrunchiebars · 13/10/2013 05:53

Congratulations pink and Bridget!

I think I'm having contractions!! Woke up at 4am feeling like I had a bowling ball inside me after getting up every 20-30 mins in the night needing a wee. About 5pm had a contraction and now about 10 minutes apart.

Husband is now hoovering and washing up like a mad thing!!

Sanjifair · 13/10/2013 06:13

Congratulations pink and bridget! And good luck iheart. Hope someone gets the 13/10/13 birthday, won't be me though! It's my EDD today but no signs at all. Going out for a cafe rouge lunch with DS and DH to console myself. Guess I am now officially SFW, but I've been feeling like that for a while!

Livened · 13/10/2013 06:41

Contractions started for me at 4am and I'm now downstairs walking around and trying to keep them going while watching Homeland on catch up. It's my EDD today by the scan, so it would be great if this turns into something! X

Sanjifair · 13/10/2013 06:46

Good luck livened!

Iheartcrunchiebars · 13/10/2013 06:47

Good luck livened! How far apart are they?

Livened · 13/10/2013 07:02

Thanks! About every 6/7 minutes but quite strong. I'm dealing with them though, although cant sleep through them. I will wait until I can't talk through them, or when my waters go to contact MLU. I kept thinking with my DS I was near the end, only to be sent home being just 2cm - I'd like to go in and stay in this time!

crunchie I'm jealous your other half is up and cleaning! I've left mine in bed as I know he's better off there if things ramp up and I really need him later. Thankfully our little boy gave us a lie in yesterday until 9am, so I'm actually feeling ok and just ready to get on with meeting our baby after all this waiting.

X

chickieno1 · 13/10/2013 07:12

Good luck iheart and livened
