Good luck MrsHN and pink, glad things are finally moving for you.

SC at 39+5 but going in to be induced this afternoon. Yikes.

Tarlia · 12/10/2013 08:51

Good luck, soupqueen!

legally DS is 3 weeks and having the same wont be put down issue - I'm sure it'll pass soon.

Those 3/4 weeks, what colours your blood? Sorry, TMI but mine is still bright red at 3 werks, but also some thicker stuff that as I expected is brown.

claphammama · 12/10/2013 08:56

next to no sleep here again but I'm now giving up and resigning myself to no sleep for the next year... sigh...

exciting news buttons and mrsH!!! yay. You will now probably end up having your babies on the same day - what a civilised compromise... Grin buttons so happy you will have your mum here with you for the first days after all. And MrsH trust your instincts - I was the same as legally and was very composed and calm so mw assumed I was less advanced than I actually was. People cope with pain differently - you may have a very high pain threshold too. So listen to your body first of all.

Although I lost it slightly towards the end but only for a short while when I was in transition. The reason for my loss of composure was a very young doctor who was "looking after" me. I gave birth in August when all the trainee doctors start their training... he came into the room to check on me (regular doctor checks when you are induced and on the drip). I was almost 10cm dialated, in the worst possible pain, and drenched in sweat after hours of labour. He stood in front of me and asked "can you feel the contractions?" I vaguely remember wanting to kill him... And I didn't respond to him but just looked at DH and said in Italian "is he an idiot? I want this idiot out of the room." Not sure the doc spoke Italian but "idiota" shouldn't be too hard to decipher... DH being a very polite person responded to him "yes she can feel them". He reminded me about it the other day and we giggled. Funny how I completely forgot this episode! The doc probably assumed I had an epidural but one look at me, the patient in front of him, would have sufficed to tell him I didn't!

untitled glad the monitoring went well and glad you had it checked!

legally I had the same problem with DS and found the second month so much tougher... I couldn't put him down and he wanted to be on me all the time. I think it takes them a few weeks to realize what has happened and that they are out. Hope they settle soon... and, likewise, can't believe you are arranging a 3 year old party... a superwoman...

claphammama · 12/10/2013 08:57

PS. good luck soup!!

chickieno1 · 12/10/2013 09:10

Sorry about the crap sleep clapham. I told my dh that the late pregnancy insomnia is training for when the baby actually arrives.

And yes pinkbuttons it's great your family will get to meet lo after all xx

Good luck soup

Off to continue the night time routine: feed, poo, change nappy, wake up, feed again, fall asleep for 5 mins, poo again then repeat....... I think I've had about 3hrs sleep a night. She's a cutie so can't complain. And have been able to shower, eat meals, drink tea and do a bit of tidying/cooking (FB question)

Chat later xx

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/10/2013 09:12

Morning all.

Grin at your dinner flyer. At least he put down the laptop and had a go.

Ooh good luck MrsH and pinkbuttons! The (very civilised) race is on!

Glad all ok untitled.

Eek at 3 year olds party legally and Nat!

Reflexologist coming at 10 so should probably have a shower and clean up the living room a bit.

Lots of Braxton hicks in the night but stopped now.

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/10/2013 09:14

Pampers just sent me an email saying congratulations on your newborn Hmm

MrsHoratioNelson · 12/10/2013 09:16

Hello all. Contractions really slowed down and eased up so DH has just route marched me round a very long block. I think they're picking up again now so will see what happens when I time them for a bit. Quite keen for it all to get properly moving now :)

MrsH and pink - I won't hold it against you both that you're leaving me sat on this bus!! I will stay hopeful that it'll be me next Grin

Fingers crossed for you both, hope you're getting newborn snuggles by the end of today xx

Wickedgirl · 12/10/2013 10:16

Looking through the spreadsheet, there are lots of people now overdue. I'm just one of many which makes me feel a bit better

Shirehobbit · 12/10/2013 10:17

Good luck pink and MrsH

Big hugs to those frustrated at still waiting x

Congratulations to all those new arrivals, sorry for not namechecking you all Blush been reading but not posting and it's hard to keep up - easier to post on FB.

Feeding Al has been a bit easier in the last 24hrs, now milk is properly in. Also went to a breastfeeding support group yesterday - the women there were just amazing. Hope that is a bit more positive orange x

Oops double post - one handed phone post while feeding - bit chaotic! Grin

chickieno1 · 12/10/2013 10:20

Good luck with reflexology orange

roofio87 · 12/10/2013 10:53

mrsh sorry its a bit late, but dont worry about bleeding too much. they told me at the hospital its normal and were only worried about me when I was soaking through a pad in 10/15 mins!

MrsHoratioNelson · 12/10/2013 11:03

Thanks Roofio. After my last post I managed two trips up and down the stairs before deciding I really needed a sleep - I was basically up between 1am and 9am - and now every thing seems to have stopped :(. Bouncing on my ball while I work up the energy to get up and down the stairs a few more times or walk into town or something. I have a feeling this could go on a while...

Wickedgirl · 12/10/2013 11:29

MrsH, I have had that happen several times Sad

I wake up with "regular" contractions but they just stop after 2-3 hours. It's annoying particularly now I'm past dates. I just want this baby here.

My ds told me today that I am being selfish and that I should be more willing to share the baby since I've had it for so long Wink

MrsHoratioNelson · 12/10/2013 11:34

I blame DH. While I was asleep he rushed around doing the washing up, packing the snack bag and making a flask of coffee - which is now glaring at me accusingly from the hall. No pressure then Hmm

roxvox · 12/10/2013 11:35

roofio is Hunter cluster feeding at the minute, or is it just Ailla?

Pinkforboys · 12/10/2013 11:44

Everything crossed for you buttons & MrsH that your babies do the right thing and make an appearance today x
I found myself talking to Madam today, serving her an eviction notice- she's only got 1 week left before she's out...

GT have you (or anyone else) tried these compresses from Boots? They sound promising. There seems to be a pad for your other end too in the same range, but Boots don't seem to sell it.

DH dropped my iPhone this morning and smashed the screen. Nice timing... I think the sim will still work in my old Nokia, but I won't have MNet web access Sad Madam better not appear til the phone's repaired!

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/10/2013 11:57

Oh dear pinkforboys boys, don't go out anywhere alone for too long then!

Yes thank you shire Grin glad it was useful. Feel free to share bad bits too, just don't hold back on sharing the good! Smile

Reflexology was lovely and really relaxing. Tips for labour: unplug phone and put iPad on repeat. I forgot both. One ankle which is pelvis/uterus area was very tender and the baby did lots of cervix head butting. I am clinging to the hope that it will move things along a bit... Was really nice to lay back in a comfy chair and be pampered for an hour if nothing else though.

Flyer747 · 12/10/2013 12:03

Oh total pants MrsH I really really hope that things start up again, it must be so frustrating Confused

Off out for lunch with a few of dp's friends girlfriends/wives lovely bunch and one is also pregnant so I won't be the only one sober.

Going to try reflexology early next week orange.

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/10/2013 12:30

We are going to the party tonight in shoreditch after all, just going to leave several hours to get there slowly and find a chair. I don't think the baby is planning an exit today and I feel ok at the moment. So we both need to find some nice clothes that still fit today flyer!

tuckingfits · 12/10/2013 12:31

Oh MrsHN I'm sorry it all tailed off. I have been experiencing the same since 3rd Oct. It is SO frustrating. I have higher hopes for you that it all ramps up a few gears again soon, than I do for me.

My horrible sister phoned me last night to tell me that she thinks I'll be pregnant until my c section - just to prepare me. What kind of person says that to a heavily pregnant woman who has been having signs of labour starting for 10 days??????? I was deeply annoyed & then upset and wept all over DS & then DP when he returned with our curry which was not good so didn't eat enough to have the desired effect.

OrangeBlossom2 · 12/10/2013 13:10

What a silly thing to say tucking Sad Cake
