How much blood? Colour?

Tarlia · 12/10/2013 05:14

I really hope you are ok, mrsh Flowers

MrsHoratioNelson · 12/10/2013 05:15

Probably barely half a teaspoonful. Bright red. Asked in childbirth and answers suggested I shouldn't worry but will mention to MW when I go in.

Ooh, so exciting reading your early labour posts - good luck ladies.

Congratulations on the recent new arrivals and for those of you struggling just hang in there cos you're doing a great job.

I'm now 38 + 3 and have officially finished work although I do have to pop into office twice next week :-(
My emotions are all over the place & I've been really tearful or bad tempered last few days. I burst into tears yesterday driving to work because an ambulance shot past with sirens & lights on & I was really worried about the poor person inside! I am also getting really scared about going into labour - it was pretty traumatic last time with DS & I'm dreading a repeat of that. Got to get this little one out somehow tho! I am really clinging to those speedy, straightforward birth stories that a few of you have posted - sorry names escape me!

Flowers to fellow insomniacs.

legallyblond · 12/10/2013 06:07

Yay!!! Exciting night!!! Good luck Mrs HN and Pink!

legallyblond · 12/10/2013 06:19

Twins are fine btw. Gaining weight like troopers! They're one month old!

Still pretty jaundiced (but bf jaundice, not true jaundice, so no other symptoms like pale loos or sleepiness) so had to go to hospital on Weds for bloods etc to check bile levels (or whatever it is) and liver function. I assume all below action levels as didn't get the promised call that night to be admitted to put them under lamps.

I have struggled the last couple of days as they seem to have lost the ability to be put down in their cot (they've been waking up if put down, despite bring swaddled...... Nooooo!) and feeding constantly. I'm hoping its just a growth spurt or something. It's not helped by my falling asleep when feeding and waking, uncomfortable, in the same position, shortly before the next one is due.. So they fine settle in their cot..... Tired! And got to do DD's third birthday party today.....

chickieno1 · 12/10/2013 06:22

Good luck mrshn and pinkbuttons

dontworry sorry you're feeling so emotional. I'd say this really is the hardest part of pregnancy. I was so bad tempered at the end (probably still a bit esp with dh).fingers crossed for your sneeze labour soon xx

The horrible postpartum sweats have really started. I'm here feeding, drenched

Happy Saturday

legallyblond · 12/10/2013 06:29

MrsHN - my contractions never really became too unbearable and I got to 9cm dilated (in the bath!) before I couldn't talk through them. I was in hospital but the midwives were quite dismissive, until they examined me then it was action stations!!! Given how close you are to the hospital and given Saturday shopping traffic where we are and because you hope to have a lovely water room anyway.... I think go in once DH is up and breakfasted (wake him now!) x

chickieno1 · 12/10/2013 06:32

X post legally. Sounds tough. Maybe it's a growth spurt?? Happy birthday to your dd xx

Natalieand · 12/10/2013 06:36

Eeek congratulations to those SWIL looking forward to iminant birth announcements!!!

Love your dp's idea of a 'light tea' flyer

Seem to have had a decent amount if movement since I got home last night which is typical but then again in the long run I'm not annoyed I went in as it means my induction has been brought forward so a winner all round really although I'm glad I had no 'action' taken last night as my hospital of choice was closed and diverting maternity patients to the next nearest I felt well out of my depth there as it wasn't familiar too me (I used to work at my hospital of choice) but I have to say the staff were all lovely compared to how my hospital of choice seem to have treated me the last few times.

Organising a party when u have baby twins legally I take my hat off to u, this baby will be approx 2 weeks old when dd has her 3rd birthday party and I have lazily booked a soft play party which consists of turning up playing eating then leaving again lol

Happy Saturday everyone :-)

P.s ... Lots of ppl due tommorow ... Wonder who will actually get the 13th for their baby's birthday x

SC @ 39+5

moonblues · 12/10/2013 06:37

legally I have the same problem, only 5 days old and wondering if he will ever sleep in his Moses basket again! Seems to be feeding constantly at night, though more settled during the day. Telling myself it's a good thing, but it sure is tiring. Good luck with the birthday party today.

dontworry sorry your feeling emotional. Hopefully you'll get a chance to get some rest this week which will help you feel better. Do you really have to go into work? Could you just email them to say you can't and not give any specific reason?

funkky · 12/10/2013 06:45

Ooh. More baby news!
Mrs H, I would say call hospital again, they have to ask you to come in if you call three times I think. I never got 3 minute apart contractions, they were t best 5 minutes or even longer apart but was already 5cm dilated and whisked straight to delivery when I eventually insisted the pain was too much and had to come in.
Downside is if you re not far gone, its annoying having to go back home.
Good luck to everyone !

MrsHoratioNelson · 12/10/2013 06:56

DH up and when I said at least he got a full night's sleep he said "did I?" Hmm

Managed about 20 mins sleep/rest and contractions have eased a bit :( so I will get up in a bit and get them going again.

Hope Pink is progressing nicely :)

Iheartcrunchiebars · 12/10/2013 07:02

Good luck mrs h and pink ( this is so exciting- like a live birth thread). I hope you get to go into hospital soon!!!

Keep us up to date!

roxvox · 12/10/2013 07:15

iheartcrunchie - "Hope you get to go into hospital soon!" - only on a postnatal thread could you say that!

Good luck MrsHN and pinkbuttons! Looking forward to the active labour posts Wink

Ailla is a week old now (time has flown) and tonight she's been either cluster feeding, or my boobs aren't producing enough milk to satisfy her. Either way it is supremely tiring. I wish I had a gauge to tell me how full she was/how much milk I am producing!

pinkbuttons · 12/10/2013 07:19

Good Luck mrsH looks like im going to be breathing through contractions with you. Grin

down to 5 minutes apart here and starting to take my breath away, going to have a bath soon now that DS is awake. my Mum was meant to be staying with my sister 2 hrs away last night but decided last minute she wanted to spend some extra time with me so shes here all ready to have DS. Creepy mum intuition... not that Im complaining Smile

legally am constantly in awe of your superwoman activities, 3 yr old birthday party woth month old twins Shock hope your DD has a great day x

pinkbuttons · 12/10/2013 07:19

forgot to say 41 weeks and SWIL Grin

Racheld33 · 12/10/2013 07:24

Been up all night feeding and so exciting reading about MrsH and pink

Hope everything gets moving quickly for you!!!!

Harriet now 5 days old, milk came in yesterday, my boobs are huge and so sore (lots of toe curling when she latches on!) but remember this stage from last time so just got to ride it out. She is feeding/sleeping like a trooper which is lovely, lots of hours spent cuddling on the sofa whilst DH and DS run round us playing.

Cake and Thanks for those SC and SWIL

Wickedgirl · 12/10/2013 07:29

Good luck pink and mrsH.

Marsh, I had bleeding on my due date with my first which is why I went into hospital. The midwives were lovely and said a small amount if blood can just be a part of labour. My dd was born 6 hours later, very healthy and no problems.

SFW 40+3. I am hoping that this baby will come over the weekend as I am fed up with waiting!

Wickedgirl · 12/10/2013 07:30

Marsh? Meant to be mrsH

dontworryjustpanic · 12/10/2013 08:19

moonblues The problem with work is that I own third of the business so v difficult to take a step back. I did try to cancel one day only to be told that there's a surprise lunch party for me so staff will be disappointed. Planning to take DS with me to minimise any real work & surely there will be cake!

Good news is that DH has promised me a proper lie in tomorrow - hoping I don't wake up at 3am like I did today tho.

Sanjifair · 12/10/2013 08:22

Morning all! Good luck pink and MrsH today! And good luck legally with the party!
