GY that's our plan too - managed to express 120ml in 5 mins after a feed at hospital.

Midwife said feed from one boob - then change his nappy - then try him on other boob. If he refuses offer him expressed milk. This will fill him and help my supply. DH still on pat leave so he can help just now and got grans around who will be more than happy to do a wee feed. How long you to keep this up? How old is your little one?

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 14:20

Aw thanks Clapham I've never been cool before!

I think you might actually be right about the nesting - I've just had a rather gross spectacular show. I am off to the library on Shane's Pony (Flyer will understand) to get things going. Is it too late to stop that package of ironing?

A bit of a mini celebration a bit tmi but I think i have stopped bleeding today 3 weeks!! I had a clot again last night that seemed to be a bit of membrane so mw says prob why I was still bleeding!

Congrats pineapple

away to soft play to keep DS amused then as early as a bedtime I can get tonight

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 14:40

Hooray falcon!

Yes bowlful do please keep posting good bits too. I was getting a bit upset last night telling DP that it seemed almost everyone was having real difficulties feeding and it is going to be really hard (I still know it will but some good news is always good).

Ouch GT :( hope it heals soon. I imagine on days like today you don't mind the staying at home for 5 weeks at all.

Good to 'See' you MoN. Is Eliana out of surgery now?

I am feeling really tired and wobbly from my little trip to the hairdresser and have been napping with just a break to answer the door to the waitrose delivery man. Building up the energy to put the shopping away. Thank goodness I am not still working.

A Halloween birthday is a possibility - they will let me go to the 1st November before inducing. It would always involve cool fancy dress birthday parties but I am really hoping it comes on just an ordinary day well before then.

ImpOfDarkness · 11/10/2013 14:40

I think I've had a bit of show after yesterday's sweep. I'm having a nice lie-down just in case...

MotherOfNations · 11/10/2013 14:45

Still waiting for news on Eliana. In the waithing room trying to catch up on the thread but I keep falling asleep. The past few days are catching up with me now.

Congratulations to all those have had their babies in the past few days.

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 14:46

Woop woop on the shows imp and MrsH.

Thanks pink by the way for letting us know the acupuncture went well. Glad you feel a bit better.

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 14:47

Nice warm mug of hot chocolate for MoN. Brew Or maybe some Wine Sleep while you can!

Soupqueen · 11/10/2013 14:47

Congratulations pineapple!

bridget, my induction is on my Dad's birthday too. If. Thought it was going to go quickly, I could have saved myself buying his birthday present Grin

Sounds like lots of encouraging activity with show, fingers crossed MrsHN and imp

I've got just under 24 hours to go into labour naturally, not holding out too much hope tbh.

Wickedgirl · 11/10/2013 14:56

Congratulations pineapple Flowers

GTbaby · 11/10/2013 15:41

Jelly I have my mum dad n sis helping this week. So will keep it up. Nxt week it's mum n dad n cousin. Lol. So will keep it up. Week after its just me n mum. So will see how we cope with two children under 1!!

I was so disappointed with myself for not bf ds1 that I want to try harder this time and at least get to 6weeks. But practical side of me is trying to work out how ill cope with two babies. But like I said I have alot of support ATM so for now ill carry on Grin

thethreeblondies · 11/10/2013 15:58

Had a panicky moment earlier, after dtd with dh this afternoon (he works nights!) sat in the car outside DD's school and had a couple of take your breath away pains! Managed to get the girls and get home so will see if things develop! Invisaged waters beaking outside the classroom, although would probably have gotten away with it as it was raining a little Grin

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 17:03

Shane's pony mrs H GrinGrin

Glad to hear you've had a show Smile fab news , it sounds like BabyH maybe on his/ her way this weekend.

Hope things progress for you as well imp.

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 17:05

At this rate there will be Clapham, Orange, shooting, smitten and me driving around on a virtually empty bus.

Where is Nat?! I bet she is swil as well.

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 17:08

Oh and sanji as well.

xuntitledx · 11/10/2013 17:12

Don't forget me flyer Sad

For this not on Facebook, had my midwife appt this afternoon - no sweep as cervix still high and closed. Shit. On. It.

Induction date given for 17/10 and I'm really disappointed that I'm going to have to wait another week.

Also worried that my birth plan is going to end up compromised so overall, not a happy bunny today and have been sulking for the rest of the afternoon!

Pinkforboys · 11/10/2013 17:13

And me flyer

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 17:15

Oh ok! Smile

Sorry untitled it's a bit pants isn't it. Totally feel for you Thanks
I really don't want to be induced either as I don't think they allow water births if you do Sad

KarmaBiatch · 11/10/2013 17:33

i"m still here too :)

SFC at 38+4, been having a lot of bx and losing my mucus plug all week after my sweep last monday, but no baby.. just really badly constipated (sorry for tmi).

Seriously considering castor oil to get everything moving!

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 17:36

Ok so I've just eaten the contents of my hospital bag Shock 10 thorntons mini Choc brownies, 2 wonka millionaires shortbread bars, and cracked open the tangfastics. I need to lie down now.

Pinkforboys · 11/10/2013 17:42

Oh my, flyer, that is an impressive feast!

pinkbuttons · 11/10/2013 17:44

ill still be here too... until next Friday at least.

sorry to hear about failed sweep untitled

Hope things are moving for you mrsH! some of these lazy babies clearly need an example to be set to arrive plus my totally reasonable mind thinks my baby is still waiting for yoursBlush

claphammama · 11/10/2013 17:45

I have 3 packs of Percy Pigs in my bag... what should I do??

just back from my 38 weeks GP appointment. Got a trainee doctor - lovely but clueless and so she looked so scared... she asked me how far gone I was, I said 38+3, she said "was your first one late too?"... ??!! obviously this made me feel sooo much better. She tried to check the baby's position but was so gentle - no way she could feel anything. She thought the baby was back to back but I'm ignoring her because she really was clueless... I have a mw appointment booked for 39+6 of nothing happens before then...

mrsH congrats on your show! they do look quite spectacular and disgusting don't they? fx for you!

blondies fx for you too!

imp... Envy Angry think we need to have words...

and yes, I was also wondering about nat earlier... bet she is SWIL, very unlike her to go so quiet

legallyblond · 11/10/2013 17:48

Oh hugs to you all!! I'm still here just v v swamped! Hugs to MoN, hope Eliana's op went well. I do sometimes wish I were still preg... Just occasionally! It's pretty relentless with 3 under 3..! Flowers to everyone x x

claphammama · 11/10/2013 17:49

forgot...

flyer that's right... they don't allow water births when induced... I was heartbroken last time Sad

orange at least you now have gorgeous hair!

falcon great news you've stopped bleeding! does it mean you won't need that blood transfusion after all?
