Ahh guys, you can throw spit balls, think all of us new mummies are here, just not able to post with no hands!

Congrats on all of the arrivals!

I think I'm not posting too much as everything is going remarkabley smoothly, and don't want to jinx it, or be smug! After having a very difficult baby last time who didnt sleep, fed constantly, and had reflux so couldnt be put down, i know the last thing anyone struggling wants to hear is how easy someone else is having it!

Cant access the spreadsheet at the mo - how many babies are left to arrive?

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 12:20

Congratulations pineapple Thanks

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 12:25

Bowlful I think there are about 45 people left to pop.

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 12:32

Pink are orchids really half price? I just went into website and couldn't see any. If so I'm going to buy my mw one and myself too as I'm fed up here. Great gift idea

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 12:36

Congratulations pineapple

Congratulations Pineapple. Thanks

MrsH we couldn't hurl abuse at you from the back seat, although technically you were a front seat nerd, we've all become rather fond of you and upgraded your nerd status so you are now one of "us". Grin

Sanjifair · 11/10/2013 12:42

Congratulations bronze and pineapple! Wow it's been a busy night and day for babies on the thread!

I always just knew I would be late with DS and tbh have expected it with DC2 as well. Flyer, it won't be any later than 27 th Oct, so no Halloween babies for us and end in sight! Still hoping for due date baby, but kind of resigned to going over. No signs at all here at 39+5.

BowlFullofJelly · 11/10/2013 12:44

So we should be due about 2 babies a day? The next full moon must be coming upp, wonder if there will be a surge then?

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 11/10/2013 12:48

Oh pineapple how wonderful! Congrats on your little girl (think my baby will be nameless initially too!) Glad everything went speedily and look forward to hearing more details when the dust has settled a little...

Yippee Pinkforboys - a new date buddy. Would rather not be induced but the 19th is my Dad's birthday and I know he'd be absolutely tickled pink to share his birthday, so it's a potential silver-lining for me.

Right...must actually get off the Internet and do some jobs!

Flyer747 · 11/10/2013 12:49

I thought that bowl about the full moon. I remember orange saying it was around 17/18th. That also coincides with my ovulation dates.

Sanji same here I just know i will go over and no signs just like you at 39+5.

I cried on dp earlier had a total meltdown as I feel I'm not coping anymore, I'm such a mard arse. He was sweet and cuddled me for half an hour, he is now back cuddling the laptop Grin

Sorry bronze in all my wallowing in self pity I totally forgot to congratulate you.

So congratulations bronze and family Thanks

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 11/10/2013 12:53

Oh Pink - I ended up accepting a whole load of maternity clothes from a lady I vaguely know. Not a single item fitted! Knew they wouldn't but she practically forced them on me (suspect I was an easier option than taking them to a charity shop).

Had to act very grateful as was too embarrassed to admit I was far too fat for them.

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 11/10/2013 12:54

Flyer - love the expression 'mard arse' - really miss living up North at times x

OrangeBlossom2 · 11/10/2013 12:58

Yes the 18th October flyer. That's when DH thinks our baby will come. I was looking at the moon last night and it looked very small still. Grow moon grow!

MrsHoratioNelson · 11/10/2013 13:06

Thanks Flyer do I get a badge? Grin

I have now cleaned my kitchen windows. No mean feat, since it involved clambering onto the work surfaces to reach them. Don't tell DH, he will kill me...

Start packing up that ironing for its holiday Clapham...

Pinkforboys · 11/10/2013 13:08

Congratulations Pineapple.

Let's hope the full moon does it's bit for us....I like to think I'm not quite on that back seat, but sitting happily somewhere in the middle, but it does seem like a heck of a lot of people have got off this bus already [sulk]

I've booked in to see dentist on Monday afternoon, and have appts thru Tues & Weds so Madam isn't allowed to make an appearance til Thurs at the earliest- tho DS's school is shut for a strike then... All I want to do is hole up in the house sitting on my ball with catch up TV at my finger tips...

Oh and flyer orchids are £6 rather than £12 in my local M&S at the mo, not sure about online.

thethreeblondies · 11/10/2013 13:14

My due date is the 19th so I'm up for a full moon baby as well, does it involve dancing round naked in the garden or anything?!

Although DD1 is off school on the 17th (strikes!) but not DD2! The 18th they have a "spooky disco" and the 19th DD1 has a bday party to go to (back end of nowhere dh would get lost lol!) So really this wkend would still be better Smile Asked the girls this morning what they fancied doing this wkend DD1 said could I go in to labour please!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 11/10/2013 13:16

I'm still here at the back of the bus too. Feel like this baby will never come out. Am setting mini milestones to get to. First one is die date, then my post due date check and then I suppose my cs date but hoping I don't get that far.
Have had a log delivery this morning so we are ready to get the fires going. Shall I try and get things going by stacking them into the log store or shall I just go and have a cuppa and a slice of cake..............
Weirdly I haven't put on any weight since 36 weeks but I get bigger every day! Does that mean baby is putting on weight but I am actually losing it?! Hope so!!!

Shootingstarsandcomets · 11/10/2013 13:16

Due date not die date- oops!!

claphammama · 11/10/2013 13:40

congrats pineapple Thanks

mrsH package from Clapham to Devon duly sent as urgent. Sounds like you are nesting to me... and yes, you can get a badge - the badge reads "an alleged judgemental snob who actually turned out to be really cool" Grin (have you heard more from your AIBU thread best friends by the way?) and forgot to ask - how did it go with DH last night? Grin Grin

funny about the full moon... DP is convinced that this baby will arrive on 18th and he has no idea when full moon is and thinks it's all bollocks... no idea why he is so set on this date. DS is convinced the baby will come on 16th. I do not, repeat I DO NOT want a Halloween baby please!! I also don't want a 1st Nov baby as it's the All Saints Day in all the catholic countries. I'm a terrible catholic not living in a catholic country buy still associate this day only with cemeteries, visiting graves, sadness and gloom... please not 1st of November for me...

bowlfull glad all is going smoothly for you. I think you should be posting... we should have good and bad experiences here, and remember that sometimes things just work and are easy!

pink glad acupuncture seemed to help!

flyer half an hour without cuddling the laptop...? is the laptop still talking to him?

claphammama · 11/10/2013 13:44

shooting definitely Brew and cake

JellyCurls · 11/10/2013 13:48

Congrats pineapple Thanks

Just back from hospital as Jellybaby has lost weight again. Mw reckons he sleepy cause he jaundiced, needs to eat to become less yellow but can't eat as too tired - vicious circle. So home with a cow milking station electric breast pump to see if I can stimulate my supply

Smitten1981 · 11/10/2013 13:50

Clapham, it's The House We Grew Up In by Lisa Jewell, really enjoyed her last two.

Although, having said that my reading afternoon has so far amounted to doing some work that came in and three loads of washing. Just sat down to eat lunch/watch Grey's Anatomy.

GTbaby · 11/10/2013 14:06

I'm still here to. Just never get around to posting as sleep/ feeding/ crying usually win.

Jelly do u have help at home?
We had the same here. So I would feed lo on boob. Then hand him over to my sis. Who would feed him my expressed milk while I went to express more.
Means he is full after each feed and my supply increases through his stimulation and expressing means I full drain in each in turn increasing supply.
Ps. I still can't connect FB n MN names. So no idea if I have you this advice already Blush
Roofio n MrsNH thanks for aqueous cream advise.

Lo has finally gained weight!! And jaundice is reducing. Bad news is my bits may be infected. Hence still painful. So got to see gp at 6 to get antibiotics and mw took a swob earlier. Hopefully antibiotics will have a quick effect on pain.

MotherOfNations · 11/10/2013 14:11

Jelly The only time my Dp has smiled these past few days was when he saw what effect the breast pump had on my nipples. He was disappointed when I told him he wasn't getting near them cos they hurt like hell.

pinkbuttons · 11/10/2013 14:12

Congratulations pineapple!!

Cant believe when we were talking about the full moon last time I thought that Sept one might make my baby arrive now Im hoping this one will! Im another one to be being induced on the 19th so would be nice if the full moon beat the hospital to inducing me Smile

Sorry to hear hes lost weight again jelly good that you're home though and fingers crossed the pump will help stimulate your supply. x
