Tanny if you get a third miscarriage do go to the doctor and pester them to refer you to the recurrent miscarriage clinic, they will run a series of tests which may help (in my case they found nothing)

Engels hope you are ok and manage to get an early scan booked

TinyTear · 15/10/2013 08:49

And I hope you all don't think I'm insensitive but just got an email reminding me the justgiving page is closing soon...

I did a 5 mile run a few months ago and fundraised a bit for the Miscarriage Association...

www.justgiving.com/From5KTo5Miles

Anything is good for them, and they were really helpful and supportive for me.

I have my scan Friday and I am feeling so nervous as I don't have that many symptoms at all...

IBelieveInEngels · 15/10/2013 09:17

Not insensitive at all tiny .

Just hada bit more bleeding...very period like. Am going to contact mw but perhaps they'll tell me to just stay at home. Last mc was at this stage as well.
Thanks for your support ladies - no one else to talk to atm and don't want to contact dh over phone /email about it. He'll be home this afternoon.

Today should be a happy day - it's ds' s 2nd birthday and I'm sat here in tears Sad

lucyfluff · 15/10/2013 09:19

Oh IBelieve....hugs :( I hope the bleeding is nothing but get yourself checked out and take care x

TinyTear · 15/10/2013 09:19

Aww Engels, so sorry...

For me all bleeding also ended in miscarriage but I do know people with healthy babies who had heavy bleeds in the early days thatwere either cysts or a lost twin...

At 6+1 they should be able to send you to the EPU for a scan

IBelieveInEngels · 15/10/2013 09:49

Thank you ladies. Trying to stay positive. Is 2 weeks since AF was due, so could be implantation bleed.

No more bleeding at the moment and wasn't heavy - more like the light beginning to a period before the heavy flow sets in.

Have emailed mw to see what their advice is (not in UK so no EPU here). I think they will tell me to wait and see if I have more bleeding today. I think the earliest scans they will offer here are at 8 weeks, but will see what they say.

LondonSuperTrooper · 15/10/2013 12:23

Engles I hope that it isn't serious and keep positive... I know its easier said than done. I used to bleed when pregnant with DS and he's a healthy 6 year old now. Wishing you all the best.

LondonSuperTrooper · 15/10/2013 12:27

Tanny maybe you should test with FMU? I'm not going to say don't bother with CB digi as I clearly did and really wanted to see the 3+ to make me feel that everything is alright.

Tigs thanks for your comments. I still can't believe that I'm pregnant. As a matter of fact I don't think that I will believe it until I have my scan next monday...... which can't can't come son enough for me!

Hello to everyone else and the newbies. I'm off now to research the harmony scan/test.

PJen · 15/10/2013 16:07

IBelieveInEngels Oh no. That is not what I wanted to read. I do pray that all is well with you. I did have light bleeding with DC1 and went to EPU and got early scans to reassure myself. There was a tear somewhere but not close to the baby. Oh I can’t believe they don’t have EPU in NL?? Even here in Canada they do have a similar thing like EPU (you go to emerg and they do a scan). Can your midwife speak English or do you speak Dutch fluently? I send you cyber hugs and hope that all is fine. It is reassuring that your bleeding stopped. Are you still getting positive pregnancy tests? Thinking of you.

Penguinita · 15/10/2013 18:36

Oh no engels, how horrible. Sad Do they have private clinics there you can go to for a scan, or could you go to the docs to get your hormone levels checked?

tanny it sounds like you maybe had a random high on your first test if you got 2-3 weeks ten days ago. I think 2-3 when you are not six weeks yet isn't that unusual.

I'm worried today as my symptoms have all disappeared, no nausea or sore boobs. Exactly the same happened two days before it all went wrong last time. Hoping it is just a temporary glitch.

Penguinita · 15/10/2013 18:51

Just reading the standard June bus thread. Bless their innocence, not knowing what dildo cam is!

IBelieveInEngels · 15/10/2013 19:13

Think I will be bowing out ladies.

Bleeding continued throughout day and menstrual like cramps. Felt and looked the same as my first mc (also at 6weeks).

Spoke to mw who said I should take a pg test in a week and then give them a call whatever the outcome. If I took one now it may be positive as I may still have pg hormones in my blood. There's nothing they can do for me right now and I'm 99% sure it was a mc.

Just sucks that it had to happen on DS's birthday, though at least he's not old enough to really notice that not something was going on.

Wish you all the best for the next 8 months and hope you all have sticky beans.

PJen do PM me later on if you're in Amsterdam and need any advice on the Dutch system. I'm sure my mw do speak English but I've always spoken Dutch with them. They ask you on the booking form if Dutch isn't your first language and if so, would you like a translator (I think it's because they have large Turkish and Morrocan communities here and if soeone has recently arrived in the country they may not speak Dutch or English - I certainly couldn't speak Dutch when I got here!)

tannyLoo72 · 15/10/2013 19:41

Oh no, Engles. So sorry to hear that. Poor poor you...

Wishing you good luck with everything, and feel free to pop back from time to time.

Virtual hugs...

LondonSuperTrooper · 15/10/2013 19:51

Engels really sorry to read your sad update. Nothing that I can say can make it better. Hope you'll stay strong. Hope to see you back on these threads very soon.

All the best. And happy birthday to your little man.

tigsnchar1 · 15/10/2013 20:02

Engels, so sorry to hear your sad news. It's so very hard. Big virtual hugs.

I have had some spotting today, 7 weeks today as well. Not very pleased to see it as although brown, that's how my last mc finally announced itself (at 20 weeks, at least 3 later than the baby survived).

I've rung the midwife but no reply. Expect they'll just tell me to wait and see. Some pain but that could be stress.

I'm in a whole new world of crazy tonight.

IBelieveInEngels · 15/10/2013 20:10

Fx for you tigs

I'm holding onto the fact that 2 months after I had my last mc I got a BFP - DS!

TinyTear · 15/10/2013 20:25

Hugs Engels, fingers crossed for a quick return to a BFP

tigsnchar1 · 15/10/2013 20:27

Engels, thank you.

I have heard that post mc is a really fertile time, so fx for you too! Definitely the best attitude to have.

TinyTear · 15/10/2013 20:32

Yes Penguinita. I actually prefer dildocams as there is no need for a full bladder.

lucyfluff · 15/10/2013 20:44

Sorry to hear your news IBelieve :( hope you are ok x

PJen · 15/10/2013 22:16

Oh Ibelieveinengles how heartbreaking!!! :( Thank you for being so kind and thinking of me in this difficult time. I will PM you once I am there and am completely confused. I wish I could be more of a friend to you in this hard time. I have been there 4 times and I know how heartbreaking each miscarriage is. :(

hackneybird · 15/10/2013 22:19

Hello all, can I join? Had an mc in 2008, a healthy son in 2009, and another mc in March this year.

Am also of the '73 vintage, I celebrated my big one in August.

I am now 5+3 or thereabouts. Feeling very tired indeed with sore boobs but no nausea yet. Can't get even vaguely excited about this due to 2 mcs and am a bit worried about my age, although I know plenty of ladies who have had successful pregnancies at 40+. I SO want to have a sibling for DS.

Don't really want to join the main thread as I've done all that before. Just persuaded DH to fork out for an early scan so cam ringing the fetal centre tomorrow! We live in London.

Lots of love to all.

Bumblebeesmum · 16/10/2013 06:01

Hello everyone
I got pregnant 1st month of trying & straight forward pg with no1 & so expected the same now. I had a miscarriage at 5 weeks & then at 7/8 weeks which has knocked me quite a bit. Last was August. I have just found out I am pregnant but feeling v odd - the excitement is ruined a little. Anyway Hi everyone and fingers crossed!

TinyTear · 16/10/2013 07:34

Hello hackney
August 73 for me as well
Don't tell me it's 22nd Smile
Good luck on an early scan

Hello bumblebee
Welcome here

tigsnchar1 · 16/10/2013 11:55

Been referred for a scan tomorrow. Being made to feel like this is a big massive favour! I almost don't want to go and find out the bad news. I know it's better to know and deal with it and try again - need to toughen up a bit I think.

This bit is so hard.
