Hi bumblebee congrats on your BFP and fx for a happy and healthy pg. Easier said than done I know.

Engels so very sorry to read your messages, I really hope history repeats itself for you.

And tigs good luck for tomorrow... let us know how you get on.

I'm 4+5 today and already going a bit crazy. Trying hard to be postive and not do pg tests every day, but my sensible head doesn't always win out...

LondonSuperTrooper · 16/10/2013 14:09

Tigs, ignore them! I think its good that you are having a scan then you can find out one way or the other. Best of luck & do let us know how you get on.

Hi to everyone else. I hope that our little beanies will be stickies :)

tigsnchar1 · 16/10/2013 16:16

Thanks beans and London. So good to have some support here as no-one knows IRL except OH who is being very quiet about it all - he's disappointed and worried and scared of upsetting me I think.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok.

LondonSuperTrooper · 16/10/2013 17:42

Tigs awww your poor DH :( I really hope that all is well with you.

Take care & best of luck with the scan.

PJen · 16/10/2013 21:39

Oh tigs I am sorry that you are going through this. Good luck for your scan tomorrow. It is always better to know early. The more weeks go by the harder the hit of disappointment is. I do hope though that you get only good news and reassurance. You never know. Hang in there.

hackney welcome. Yayyy, I am younger than you and Tiny by one month!! Halloween Smile I celebrated the big four O in September! Cake I like this thread so much as there are a lot of people in my age group and this usually doesn't happen that often as all pregnant women are usually much younger than us.

I am very very worried as well; since evil morning sickness has disappeared. My scan is not till Monday and I am dying to have it NOW. As mentioned before, due to me being high risk for miscarriage (4 previous ones plus they found lots of issues with me in my recurrent miscarriage testing), I get scanned every 2 weeks. I find the first week after the scan is easy and the second week waiting for the next scan is absolute torture.

PJen · 16/10/2013 21:53

The problem is that I am on progesterone and hcg maintenance therapy (I inject myself with hcg hormone every two days) so if I miscarry, I won't bleed and it will be a missed one. I hate to think I will get the bad news while lying on ultrasound table. :(

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 08:15

PJen I was scanned every 2 weeks in my previous pregnancy and was the same scan- elation - nerves - scan...

My scan is tomorrow and I am so scared. It's when they say "are you sure of your dates?" That I know things are wrong as I am usually sure of my dates, thankyouverymuch.

PJen · 17/10/2013 08:26

Good luck Tiny for your scan. I have everything crossed for you!!! Let me know how it goes. I really really pray you have good news!!!!

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 08:29

Thanks, it's not till midday tomorrow and the hospital has dodgy mobile signal, but I shall definitely update when I can!

tannyLoo72 · 17/10/2013 08:33

Sorry. That's me out. The digi wasn't wrong after all.

I started bleeding this morning with cramps. Same as previous MCs.

The midwives say I can go to EPU and get a scan, but I'm too late this morning. Don't think I will go though, I already know the answer. Only hope I don't haemorrhage like last time.

Good luck with all your pregnancies. May they all be sticky...

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 08:45

So sorry tanny

PJen · 17/10/2013 08:54

I am devastated for you Tanny :( what a sad news :( hope you get pregnant again soon and carry to term. I highly recommend that you do RMC testing if you haven't. They found loads of stuff wrong with me. I know how emotionally painful it is and wish it was easier for you. :(

hackneybird · 17/10/2013 09:45

My condolences Tanny.

Tiny no not the 22nd, a week later!

Pjen agree this is a good thread for being amongst a similar age group, when I was on a regular ante natal group earlier this year (before I mc'd) everyone seemed to be under 30 and it made me feel really self conscious.

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 10:01

Ha Hackney, so I am older than you

lucyfluff · 17/10/2013 11:10

Sorry to hear your news tanny. Hope you are ok x

PJen · 17/10/2013 11:53

Bleeding here. I think I am out too :(

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 11:55

oh no Jen
Hang in there until Monday's scan

I did tell you about a woman from my Feb12 group who is actually 40 weeks this weekend - she lost one twin at 7 or 8 weeks with lots of bleeding but the other one is there about to be born...

Sending you positive thoughts... don't lose all hope just yet

LondonSuperTrooper · 17/10/2013 12:36

Tanny I am so sorry. I hope that you are OK.

Jen I hope that you are OK. Is it heavy bleeding? My sister suffered with bleeding in her early pregnancy and was fine. My nephew was born last week. Try not to lose hope just yet.

It's a novelty for me to be one of the younger ones for once Wink I'm not 40 till november.

I'm counting down till my scan on Monday afternoon. It really can't come soon enough. Apart from the bloating I really do not have any symptoms. I hope that everything is OK with this little beanie.

LondonSuperTrooper · 17/10/2013 12:36

Tigs have you had your scan yet?

tigsnchar1 · 17/10/2013 16:53

So sorry, pjen and tanny. This is a harsh thing to go through. Lots of hugs.

My scan was this morning and they said all was well, to my shock and surprise. I'm unconvinced and OH is consequently annoyed with me for being so negative. But the baby was about a week smaller than it should have been (I was temping and weeing on sticks and we didn't have sex after the designated O day so that's weird unless I kept his wrigglers going for nearly a week before they met the egg, which was moving extra-slowly). Heartbeat visible.

I've still got lots of pain and am spotting more now than yesterday so although pleased to see something this morning I'm far from confident.

Thank you so much for thinking of me, London. You ladies are lovely - and I'm 36 and loving everyone not being 18. Although sadly that's probably why we are here.

Off home to bed and rest lots to see if we can keep this one going somehow!

Thanks
LondonSuperTrooper · 17/10/2013 18:09

Tigs that's great news! I fully understand why you are not believing it just yet. Did they find out from the scan where/why you are bleeding?

Plenty of rest sounds good to me. Are you signed off from work? Sorry I can't remember whether you work or SAHM.

TinyTear · 17/10/2013 18:39

Good luck Tigs, a heartbeat is great, increases the chances of viability...

Hope some rest will help you... how far along did they measure you?

tigsnchar1 · 17/10/2013 19:25

Thanks London and Tiny. I work 3 days a week and still going in, much as I'd love to be signed off I haven't been!

There was no reason for the bleeding that they could see. Ovaries looking normal, it was amazing that she could tell it was the left one that ovulated and could still see the follicle.

She just said that some women bleed and that's that! Also made it quite clear that this was just a moment in time and a baby ok today may not be ok tomorrow.

Measured me at 6 + 2 instead of the 7 + 2 I am based on dates (lmp 27 August).

Pleased to see the heartbeat obviously but very worried that it's not big enough. We will see in time!

Thank you for asking and being interested. Love that we are in this together.

LondonSuperTrooper · 18/10/2013 04:59

Morning!

I've just lost the post that I wrote on the phone. A quick version of it is:

Jen how are you? I hope that the bleeding has stopped.

Tigs take it easy till the bleeding/spotting stops. My sister was spotting for much for the first trimester. She somehow managed to get 6 weeks sick leave! Did they advice bed rest or to just get on as normal?

As for me I'm just taking it one day at a time. 4 more days than I make it past the time of my last miscarriage. I'm constantly checking for blood on my panty liner & when I'm wiping. From what I've read the magic number to get to is 12 weeks....... I still have an awful long way to go.

Wishing you all a fab Friday.

tigsnchar1 · 18/10/2013 06:35

Morning London, no bed rest or any advice at all really! I'm resting as much as I can but am lucky to have a nearly 3 year old to look after when not at work so it's not that restful at home! OH is trying to help when he's here but is out tonight playing football and tomorrow at a party so I'm a bit fed up with him.
But on the other hand it was our 10 year anniversary yesterday and I completely forgot (given scan and also that we are trying to buy a house and I spent most of yesterday on the phone about that so I think it's sort of understandable) so although I'm annoyed I can't say too much - I'd have been gutted if I'd remembered and he hadn't!
I'll stop burbling. Hope everyone has a good day.
