Congrats to jelly and doobee on the new arrivals. V jealous of all the cuddles you'll be having.

SC 39 wks today. Come on baby!

claphammama · 03/10/2013 10:25

bridget... Flowers Flowers Flowers

pink sorry to hear about your BP. hope your appointment goes well x

flyer is OK. She had some bad news (not baby related) so just taking some time out.

legallyblond · 03/10/2013 10:25

Congratulations Jelly!!!!! A big reminder to everyone to go in for monitorif if in any doubt.... With twins there's apparently a higher risk of still birth and my consultant told me that if I ever wondered whether I should come in, that was always more than enough reason to come in. If you think it, go in!

And congrats doobee!!!! Yay - happy news!

Thinking of you MoN. I know it's frustrating but I do understand where they're coming from and I am sure you'd rather this than no bed and Eliana being blue lighted to another paeds dept within minutes. It wasn't needed in the end, but everyone expected it would be, so I was told that my c section wouldn't go ahead and would be delayed if there weren't two potentially free beds in neonatal for the twins...

Flyer..... Hellooooo...?!

legallyblond · 03/10/2013 10:26

Thanks for letting us know Clapham x

thethreeblondies · 03/10/2013 10:36

Thanks for that Clapham hope she's ok and back on here soon xx

Oh and something for u to tell your mil, my Dsis has an audition to be a contestant on deal or no deal, it's next week, I know others that have been and not gotten through, but fingers crossed lol! We took our Grandma to watch it be filmed a couple of years back, it's in Bristol but if want details of being in the audience let me know Grin

legallyblond · 03/10/2013 10:36

And Flowers to Pink and Bridget. Pink, hope the BP calms down.

Pseudo - how's your BP faring?

MoN - just read my post back and realise I didn't sound very understanding! I can understand (a bit!) that this must be so so difficult what with the other DCs and the fact that there's so much to mentally prepare yourself for. Hope you get a firm idea soon and HUGE hugs. Will this be an issue with DP's work? I know they're being nightmarish...

textbook · 03/10/2013 10:49

Yay - congratulations doobeedoo and jelly ThanksThanksThanks

Jelly what happened with you is almost exactly how my dd1 was born - I know how scary it all was so really hope you're feeling ok and recovering well x

Good luck for CS today oddlife Thanks

MoN really hope all goes to plan today, we are all behind you and Eliana xxx

Midwife coming to weigh Thea again today - my milk didn't come in until day 5 so she had lost 8.5% of birthweight Sad but then put on 3oz in 2 days once milk came Grin Hoping for another good gain today...

MrsHoratioNelson · 03/10/2013 10:49

Hope you hear something soon MoN and hope Flyer is doing OK.

I was going to head out to town to get me out of the house, but we're currently experiencing the second flood here so I've started on The Good Wife box set instead.

Thanks ladies - feeling much better now. Fingers crossed for you Pink

thethreeblondies - I'm on a washing mission too! A huge pile of hand-wash only stuff to tackle. I hope your Sis passes the audition.

Please can someone add me to the spreadsheet? surprise - due date 7/10/13 - still no names.

MotherOfNations · 03/10/2013 11:04

Still waiting in the ward for news. Dp has gone for a walk to try and stay awake.
I didn't take your post as unsympathetic at all legally. I know it's what's best for Eliana but Dp isn't happy at all. The anxiety is getting to him.
I'm really hungry now and my stomach is making really loud noises and the ward is so quiet. I just wish they would hurry up and let me know what's happening. Dp's boss was strangely sympathetic when he asked to startleave today instead of Friday. He was very surprised. He was half expecting to be suspended but he wasn't to concerned because he's been told that an up coming interview for a higher position with another project is just a formality so he'll be leaving when his contract is up anyway.

MotherOfNations · 03/10/2013 11:08

Harrah! Consultant just been to see me. I'm having my section later this afternoon.

textbook · 03/10/2013 11:21

Good news MoN - will be thinking of you this afternoon ThanksThanksThanks

cazboldy · 03/10/2013 11:24

what a rollercoaster for you Mon will be thinking of you later, and hoping all goes well xxx

Slippysnow · 03/10/2013 11:41

Yay great news MON!! Sorry it's been so difficult for you, was going to say if you were rescheduled for tomorrow you would have to get some baileys snuck in, somehow I don't think that's available on the nurses trolleys.

Congratulations jelly and doo more mummy's.

to everyone do you think we could add a column on the stats list for time of birth. I wanted to prove I was right that most women give birth late at night or early morning. But, up to you lot :)

legallyblond · 03/10/2013 11:44

Yay MoN!!!!!! X

legallyblond · 03/10/2013 11:52

By the way, I don't get period cramps (just killer back ache)... For me, contractions felt initially like painful " tightenings" (I never had BH, so dont know how nuch more painful the real thing is..) then like those cramps you get if you have bad, BAD food poisoning... Honestly, you'll know when you have them!

ananikifo · 03/10/2013 11:52

Yay, good news mon!

If anyone wants a trashy thing to watch this afternoon try Big Fat Gypsy Christening on 4od. I'm finding it fascinating, even if I'm only ten min in and the stupid 4od app is not cooperating.

xuntitledx · 03/10/2013 11:54

Good luck MoN!

Wickedgirl · 03/10/2013 11:56

That's good MoN. Xx

Tarlia · 03/10/2013 12:11

p.buttons that's some increase :( You had PIH last time too at the end didn't you? Have my fingers crossed it was just a blip and goes down. Xx

Urg, I did too much walking yesterday so my incision is sore :( Baby is also having his 2 week growth spurt and just wants to eat and eat! falcon has Willow hit it yet? How did it go at the Drs?

mon that's really good news.

flyer we are thinking of you. Hope you are able to return soon xx

Smitten1981 · 03/10/2013 12:11

Threeblondies my sister did the whole Deal Or No Deal audition thing last year. She had to go to Bristol for three rounds, then at the end they said "If you're successful we'll be in touch over the next two years". She still hasn't heard anything.

Congrats to the new babies and thinking of you MoN, what a journey it's been for you. Fingers crossed they can find room for Eliana today, if not it should all be done tomorrow.

Smitten1981 · 03/10/2013 12:13

Duh, I didn't read your post MoN, hurrah. Good luck for this afternoon.

MotherOfNations · 03/10/2013 12:15

I feel really sorry for the woman opposite me she's sitting in tears because her boyfriend is being an arsehole and appears to be trying to start arguments all the time. I mouthed to her "Are you OK?" and she mouthed back "Yes, just him being a prick".
I hope he goes out for a cigarette or something soon so I can speak to her.

Pinkforboys · 03/10/2013 12:16

Big New-Mummy hugs to Jelly and DooBee. Must have been scary, Jelly x

Good Luck for this pm MoN you know we'll all be thinking of you xx

Ana we had the same horror in our sink a week ago. Couldn't work out how it had got there but it prompted DH to take a rod to our drains and clear out a blockage. I think I poured half a litre of bleach down the plughole Grin

Just been monitored for the first time (another 'Now you are 40+' thing) hb, movement & fluid fine. A bit embarrassing as I had no idea what they were going to do to me and had only allowed 20min before flu jab appt. All done now tho.

Has anyone else got any of the AIMS booklets? I've just ordered the second stage one as that was the bit I had trouble with last time. Yoga teacher recommended it.

Off to join you guys on the sofa in front of trashy telly Brew

Sparkeleigh · 03/10/2013 12:17

Yay, MoN, great news!

Thanks clapham! I figured they would probably hurt more! Nothing else so far today, I have been nesting a bit I think. Think I'm going to follow your example and have a nap as soon as I can, totally wrecked!
