Just realised I got the last rambling post on the old thread. Finally sitting down now that all the cleaning is done and the girls have gone off to my sister's. Ds still here as there wouln't have been anywhere for him to sleep. My other sister offered to take him but he wasn't interested because she doesn't have WiFi or a games console.

Checking in at 37+2

Had my weekly obgyn appointment yesterday and had bloods taken to check for bile salts since i have ridiculously itchy skin at bedtime, he gave me really strong antihistamines to stop the itches and warned me that they'd knock me out.. they did, and i had a 16 hour sleep last night Blush

Also have thrush Hmm so am on the damn cream for that, oh the glamour!

On a positive note, doc is going to give me a sweep next Tuesday (so will be 38+1) and has said that his success rate is rather good so to be prepared to go in to labour 24-48 hours afterwards, exciting! would rather that than be chemically/hormonally induced which has been scheduled (but i can decline) for the 16th Oct.

Had a mani-pedi and reflexology yesterday and both set of people said i looked tired so gave me free neck massages.. bliss!

Will be thinking of you tomorrow MoN, and the safe arrival of Eliana. I also hope meeting your MIL tonight is not too stressful Thanks

Good Luck to Doobeedee and Rachel, hope things move swiftly for both of you Thanks

Thanks to everyone else

I WANT stomps feet MY BABY TO ARRIVE ON THIS THREAD!

Checking in

38 weeks

Have forgotten half of what wanted to post on last thread. I'm blaming preg brain and lack of sleep.

favellio I m so sorry to hear what happened to little jack :(. It's good the doctors are happy with the progress. How is your recovery? Thinking of you Flowers

mon please try not to do too much tonight. I know you're our resident CS expert but you've had a very worrying and stressful time so you will need all your strength in the next little while. Are you scheduled for the morning? Will be thinking of you and Eliana xx

pseudo hope you adjust to the nifedipine and that it controls your BP.

Good luck doobee

Sorry for the worry with little one roofio he ll be here very soon to reassure you in person!

Hope you're feeling ok now untitled

Sorry to all the ladies having to put up with their OHs. DH got narky with me yesterday cos I said the CS might happen late if there are any emergencies! Why did he not think of that himself!! He s not altogether clueless so come on! Anyway we had a chat last night and he admitted that he was stressed and didn't know how he felt about the pregnancy re timing etc. he's happy baby coming but just a bit overwhelmed with all the change and maybe not as excited as with ds. We both felt better after our chat.

Ok going to check hospital bag again, more laundry, do some paperwork, as panicking I've loads to do before CS on fri.

mon don't you move from your seat! It sounds like you've had a much harder day than you needed to.

37+1 and still cooking. I've decided to keep cooking for a while bc it's nice to be lazy around the house and I'm terrified of what it'll be like to have a baby and the nursery is just not ready. Also there is too much knitting to do. If only I could get rid of this reflux now.

DH is still in France and texts me everything he's eating: rare steak, Brie, wine tasting, etc. France is like a pregnant foodie's dream. I was naughty yesterday and had goat's cheese on my pizza so I feel a bit less jealous than I would.

Karma me too Sad. When are you due?

I'm trying to work out whether that's likely, but we're getting quicker at filling up these threads! You do realise the last one only lasted 5 days...

Marking place and wishing mon best of luck for tomorrow.
My baby has engaged its head but I know that means nothing. Not scheduled to see obstetrician now until after due date when he'll do a sweep. And got my cs date which will be 1st November.......please please let me have this baby before then. I think I will be unbelievably depressed if I don't have this one out before then.

MrsH i reckon it's highly unlikely i'll be SWIL on this thread, due the 21st but having a sweep next tuesday so fx for that working!

I can't seem to add myself to the spreadsheet, can someone please do it for me?

Due date: 21st, expecting a girl, name will be Olivia. Thanks Smile

Just checking in. SC at 38 + 5 but CS scheduled for the morning.

MoN thinking of you this evening and I hope everything goes smoothly for you both in the morning too. I realise that the C-Section is just the start of Eliana's journey so will be sending you both lots of positive vibes.

I feel like my LO has already packed her bags and is keen to get moving, lots of tightenings, kicks and pummeling down below, back ache and just generally feeling very very uncomfortable. I really hope she stays in tonight as would rather have a planned ELCS than an emergency one.

We are off out to celebrate our wedding anniversary tonight but not sure there's space for any food. Bags packed, hers and mine, cool bag waiting to keep my placenta in ready to be rushed off for encapsulation after op. Have managed to go off all the names we liked today..... so figure I will wait til after she arrives and see what suits her.

Lastly but more importantly all the dogs look miserable - perhaps they know something I don't?

Good luck to everyone else over the next few days - not sure whether I will be any good at keeping up on the thread for a while but will try to check in as soon as I can.

Oh my, look at all the babies!
I'm SC at 36+1, and reeeaally looking forward to starting maternity leave on Saturday Grin
Made a start on my hospital bag yesterday, I'd completely forgotten how much stuff is recommended, surely I didn't need the much last time?!
I'm a bit of an intermittent lurker, so massive congratulations to those of you with lovely squishy babies already!

Checking in...SC@37+5.

Clapham I was on Oxford St stocking up on moisturiser and Groswaddles. Did you see the mini Hallowe'en & Christmas outfits in the baby section? Made me think of everyone on this thread!

I can't believe that until I caught up on this thread I'd completely forgotten I had MaccyD's for lunch today. I've just had fish fingers & chips with DS too Blush

I'm looking at pigsty of a house and trying to summon up the energy to do massive clear up. DH has got a client coming over to see the place tomorrow morning (our house is a matchbox Grand Design as in designed & built by DH). The living room is taken over by DS's toys, the bedrooms taken over by baby gumf (how much stuff do they need Shock) and all I've achieved so far is cleaning out the bin, which he's hardly going to notice...(Made me think of you, MoN)

So much for finishing off the baby-blanket. My Mum reckons I'll still be sewing it up when I'm in labour (I was finishing my bridesmaid's cardigan on the morning of our wedding Blush)

Sc at 38+4

Not posted for months but I have been lurking (promise) I find fb much easier to catch up on ??

I've resigned myself to the fact that I'll be overdue so that I won't be so disappointed if I do go that way - which is likely. Hopefully my body will be able to deal with labour more effectively this time round.

Well, now well and truly fed up - I can't do anything without getting really strong BH. Then DH came home and started telling me how much work his clients were piling on so I asked whether that was his way of telling me that he would be working during his paternity leave. His response was "Umm..." Angry Sad

SC at 38+3. Had newborn cuddles today, though sadly not with my own baby. Interestingly, had some strong BH while holding the little one. Nothing much since though!
