flyer can't remember the name, will check later. I always used to have your cheeseboard with port after dinner as don't have sweet tooth. It only seems to strike during pregnancy and only every two weeks or so. Today is the sweet tooth day I think.

By the way, my entire team is flying to San Francisco on Saturday for our annual offsite. Warn your colleagues... they are all lovely and well behaved but warn them to stock up on alcohol... I think an 11 hour flight would kill me right now...

bridget hope your test will go well. Better to know if you have it, it's so common, but probably the last thing you need right now... your DD sounds so sweet... poor girl - she must be experiencing so many mixed feelings right now...

oh MrsH... lasagne, garlic bread and anything Italian is my speciality and comfort zone. So I am confident I can tempt you... profiteroles are me pushing myself out of my comfort zone but I love them too much not to have a go....

Bridget - Yes, still waiting..... Know exactly what you mean about dd, My elder ones keep sending texts asking if I'm ok, Littlest is very excited, and getting VERY impatient - she wanted to rub some cream on my bump for me last night, and pressed really hard - I think she was hoping it might squeeze the baby out!! but ds3 is a little anxious, keeps worrying about when it will happen, who will pick him up, declined a birthday invite without showing me, as he thought the baby might come... poor little chap , had a good chat with him last night though so hopefully that's helped.

At my booking in they asked if I had had a hysterectomy ??!! Just making a coffee and walnut tray bake....all in the name of baby growth of course.

Thanks Flyer - looked at the test results from booking in and it seems they tested for HIV, hepatitis and various others but not chlamydia.

I do have a vague feeling I've been tested in the past though (maybe when I was pregnant with DD as lived in a different area then)..

Anyway, guess it is nothing to get too hung-up about really, just need some antibiotics if it's positive and to make sure DP gets tested too. I think the doctor has inadvertently freaked me out by double-checking I was in a private place when she rang me and repeatedly reassuring me she had covered up the lab slip so the receptionist couldn't see what the test was for.

Bridget chlamydia is so common... My sister had it and she is almost a nun. So who knows when and from where... She had to take one shot of antibiotics (a pill) and a pill for her boyfriend, without even testing him. And job done. Don't stress. x They don't test for it here either - they do HiV, syphilis, hepatitis and all the big stuff but not chlamydia. I wish they did actually as I've never been tested.

Caz your kids sound so lovely. DS declining an invite to a party, bless him how caring is that.

Fx Bridget it's not chlamydia. Like Clapham says it is very common these days and in most cases so I believe symptomless.

Ready, what a question hysterectomy?? Surely you can't get pregnant if you've had one?! Or is that me being naive and you can.

No flyer you're right...no womb= no pregnancy! Other ways to have a baby of course but...... Yes it was at that point that I burst into tears as I was so shocked how crap the appt was and the care has been less than perfect since! Never mind...nearly there, hopefully!

All fine at the dentist but she said not to bother with hygienist until a couple of weeks after the baby comes (so that will probably mean never then...). Weird as I've read that it is a really good idea in pregnancy but probably not a bad thing as I was paranoid the baby was crawling out of being engaged while I was upside down on the chair as it was very wiggly and it also made me feel a bit dizzy.

How bizarre asking if you had a hysterectomy!

mw just called round (on her way back from seeing a lady down the road), and is coming round on thursday if nothing has happened before to give me a sweep. She thought it would have happened by now she said. Was thinking of going for a walk, but am getting ahead with my OU reading while I can instead (and eating lemon curd tarts dd1 made last night!)

Afternoon all - still in hospital but hope to be discharged within an hour or two

Really am a bit dazed and confused - couldn't sleep at all yesterday (high on adrenaline and happy hormones, I think) then Alistair discovered cluster feeding about midnight. I know everyone warns you it's hard and it hurts, but bf is a hell of an experience. I've been really well supported, but it is challenging and I suspect it'll continue to be tough for some time yet.

Congratulations to all the other new arrivals, so sorry for not name checking you all but love the growing collection of photos on FB.

Hope all those getting frustrated with SC /SFW or worried about movements get reassurance that all is ok or that things will start happening soon.

It does seem like almost everyone has a hard time with breastfeeding at first. I am glad I am prepared for that as in the past I presumed that it would be simple. I hope it improves for you.

All clear at the monitoring. Madam's hb strong, moved lots with a little prodding and is in a satisfactory puddle of amniotic fluid. Felt quite proud of how my 'geriatric' body is looking after her. Til I tried to get up off the bed- took about a minute! And then my legs felt like they were going to collapse under me...[sigh]

All your talk of profiteroles has led me straight to the fridge where 2 eclairs were waiting from yesterday safely hidden from DH Cream=milk=calcium therefore good for the baby, right? And choux pastry is just air...

Yes it's practically medicine pink! glad all was well. Is that the last of the monitoring now before you have her?
