Congratulations jelly (and everyone else who's had baby's since I last managed to catch up on this thread)

Another one booked in for c/section on 7th so will join moon and pseudo on the 4 day countdown....it suddenly all seems quite real.

Good luck today MoN - hope everything goes well for both you and Eliana.

Pink to answer re. men, my DH did take over mowing the lawn on Sunday but only after I'd got the lawnmower out of the shed, carted it round to the front and started actually mowing. Was quite a good job he did as the bit I did do set off tightenings again so not sure I'd have managed to finish anyway!

chickieno1 · 03/10/2013 04:33

kiwee I thought you were supposed to be resting not mowing lawns!!!

MotherOfNations · 03/10/2013 04:43

Congratulations jelly. Sorry you needed a section but at least your wee jelly baby is out now.

I can't sleep at all. The dog has paced up and down noisily all night like he knows something is wrong. I'm tempted to get up and go for a shower but the bathroom is next door to the bedroom the in-laws are in so I don't want to wake them.

chickieno1 · 03/10/2013 04:53

Try and sleep for another little bit mon xx

Congratulations doobeedee.

Not much sleep at all Tarlia. Even when I do manage a few mins I'm dreaming about the birth. Think I might as well get up and showered now.
I spoke to a few mums of heart babies on the support group who had needed c-sections and some of them had a 24 hour discharge so I'm not feeling so bad now.

Congratulations jelly and doobeedoo!!! It's always exciting logging in here in the morning to see what has happened overnight.
Good luck today MON. Thoughts with you.

Oddlife · 03/10/2013 06:29

Congratulations for doobeedoo loving the name and for Jelly too. Must have been a bit scary Jelly but thank goodness you went in to be checked.

MoN not surprised you haven't been able to sleep with so much on your mind but so glad that you found some other mums with some positive news for you.

I have had strong tightenings all night along with back ache and period pains. At one point they were coming every 5 mins. Bit worried so rang the hospital who advised 2 paracetamol and try to sleep, managed about an hour all in all - but seems to me this baby is ready to vacate today.

Off to the hospital in 30 mins. See you all when I am a mum!

Congrats doobee and jelly!

And good luck to everyone going in today!!

Pink, if such a man exists, it ain't mine. He's all talk and no do. I.e. He'll have the temerity to say 'you shouldn't have done that, you should have left it for me' in a strict 'look how protective I am' voice. Me: 'Er, I did leave it for you to do, reminded you three times, and you still didn't do it!'. However the back rubs are good so I won't complain too much.

Good luck today MoN

Congratulations to Jelly and Doobee I'm not at all jealous Envy

40+0 and I'm now officially........... SFW.

Special wave to Nelly and Bree who I think are also 40+0 today.

Just working out what I might do to fill my day and take my mind off the knicker checking and twinge analysing. Lots of uncomfortable cramps in my tummy last night but more sharp than BH and too high up to mean anything I think. I think baby Nelson is as miserable and uncomfortable as me...

A quick self diagnosis via google and I think I have oral thrush. Sore throat, crack on corner of mouth, metallic taste of blood in mouth, white tongue for days with two red patches at the back, feels like my tongue is burnt (though that might be from last nights soup!). Apparently common with asthma. I know babies often get it but I had never heard of it in adults. Now I have to attempt to book two drs Appointments Hmm (gave up waiting on phone last night to book 38 week check will try again tonight).

Wow busy night ladies!!
Congratulations doobeedee and jelly!! So glad you went in to be checked jelly, all sounds a bit scary but so glad you gorgeous boy is ok. Hope you're both recovering well.

Good Luck today MoN, oddlife.

Will be thinking of little Eliana, and hope you manage to have some time with her today MoNx

legally just wanted to comment from yesterday that I am literally in awe of you managing so well with your DD and twins by yourself at the moment. Puts things into prospective for me as shouted at DH last night for booking a 2 day course in November, maybe I was to harsh. Also cbeebies is on ALOT here too and I haven't even had the baby yet. Great to hear about the twins weight gain as well. x

tarlia sorry your still having troubles with your BP. How long did it take to settle after DS? how are you feeling now? Great to hear baby is back to birth weight, fingers crossed he carrys on. x

39+5 and cried this morning to DH that other people got to have their babies early and mine just seem to want to stay inside Blush genuinely embarrassed about this breakdown but have now pulled myself together and heading into town for a treat today with DS.

Orange glad I'm not the only one with a missing cervix, I guess it's normal then? Hope I don't need a sweep!

Sending Cake to the ladies now nearing (or past) their due date. I've got so much more broody over the last week, just want my baby to cuddle!
