TMI alert again...

Not much happening so far and DH has just basically refused to step up to the plate and DTD - I figured in for a penny, in for a pound, but he would prefer to wait and see if the sweep works Hmm. You'd think he might be persuaded to do his bit for king and country at this stage, but apparently not. So now I'm feeling pissed off and a bit rejected. It's not like he normally needs his arm twisting :(

Sorry if I misled, we didn't find out the sex at the scan. So not a total surprise. Just he felt much more like my DD - v bad morning sickness, craving oranges, more hormonal if you know what I mean - so I had decided he was a girl.

Hope everyone has a good night. Flowers

moonblues · 07/10/2013 21:27

Congratulations pseudo and Rachael!

roofio87 · 07/10/2013 21:28

rachel huge congrats. your labour sounds like the dream!!Grin

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 21:37

Someone needs to slap this silly woman on midwives....wtf!! Why would you put your child in possible danger Angry

Congratulations Rachel fab news Thanks

Livened · 07/10/2013 21:38

I agree rachel I'd like a nice quick labour where when I go in I'm already 5/6cm or something. In like last time when I kept going back for 28 hours and was only 2cm every time! What are the chances...

Sanjifair · 07/10/2013 21:41

Congratulations Rachel!

Wickedgirl · 07/10/2013 21:47

Congratulations to all of you! I am so jealous that you get baby cuddles.

Flowers

Lots of babies today!

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/10/2013 21:59

Congratulations Rachel Thanks

Nat I am not sure, sorry. It has been in both schools I have worked in and not as serious and scary as foot and mouth the animal disease. But check with nhs direct online tonight and gp tomorrow maybe?
Is it in her class?

Natalieand · 07/10/2013 22:01

Yes what a rediculously foolish woman flyer a c section is very much the opposite to what I want so I understand her fear but equally the doctor have her ample chance too have a natural delivery and was begging her for her own health and the baby's life to go for a c sec and she was just out right refusing!!

Congratulations rachel beautiful name too. Xxxx

Natalieand · 07/10/2013 22:03

Cross post orange its only a pre school so there is only one class. I txtd the midwife she says there's no risk to me or the baby if dd does catch it whether the babies inside me or born. But obviously I would have a new born baby and an ill toddler. Ugh the dialemma lol

Pinkforboys · 07/10/2013 22:08

Congratulations Rachel! SuperWoman, I love it.

Pseudo has your DS been able to come in and see you?

DH has p-d me off this eve- my only standing evening commitment is yoga on a tues eve, of which I've only got 2 sessions left and this week I REALLY need it. So he tells me 8.50pm tonight that- oops he forgot, he's rearranged a meeting with someone for tues eve, but I can get a babysitter. One of our babysitters is in hosp at the mo, the other is 15 so it's a bit late to ask her! (incoming text- she can't do it). Why do some men just make the smallest of requests so difficult?! He now says he'll try to rearrange but how guilty do I feel?!
Bah Humbug.

I think I'd better go to bed and see if I can wake up in a better mood! (Must read at least 2 more letters of names Confused)
G'Night all. May at least 2 of you go into proper labour tonight!! Enjoy your newborn snuggles xx

Pinkforboys · 07/10/2013 22:12

Oh and now DH has so kindly blown up my yoga ball he's complaining about the smell and trying to research (oh the joy of an iPad) how bad the chemicals are for us all. Sigh. Better go before I end up in an argument I regret...

claphammama · 07/10/2013 22:14

congrats rachel! 60min labour... and no stitches... wow! my dream! Thanks

agree --- what a stupid woman on Midwives... it seemed to be more about her "having a chance to experience natural labour" than the safety of her baby... Angry

claphammama · 07/10/2013 22:17

sorry you are having a bad evening pink. I also have one here who researches EVERYTHING on laptop, ipad, phone... whatever is connected to the internet... so I feel for you... hope you can do your yoga tomorrow and will wake up feeling better!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 07/10/2013 22:35

Congrats to all the new mums!! Babies are popping out everywhere!!

I watched midwives and also wanted to scream at her. I dont understand her at all.

C section on Wednesday... Can't quite believe that tomorrow is my last day before I become a mum. Who the hell is trusting me to look after a baby?!

Pink sorry dh is being crap.. Mine hasn't been fantastic lately. I'm trying so hard not to get upset about it because I don't want to argue, but it's made me feel a bit crap to be honest.

FeministInTraining · 07/10/2013 22:37

Congratulations to all the new mums- I can't remember who I've already congratulated, sorry!

Just watched midwives, had it paused for a bit so was behind. Am I the only one that was Shock that the woman's DP did nothing to help her see sense?! It was like he was scared of her. Or just a bit dim- there seemed to be no reaction on his face when they were saying she could collapse etc Hmm

DP/DM have permission to slap sense into me if I act like that.

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 22:41

I think she must def wear the pants in their relationship feminist! Grin

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 22:42

Pink Angry at DH....one word, MEN!

chickieno1 · 07/10/2013 22:46

Congrats moon and welcome Cormac (are you irish?). Hope CS was ok. How long will they keep you in for?

Well done pseudo on keeping Caoimhe safe for so long! She's a good size too! Were paeds happy with her?

Congrats Rachel and well done on record time labour.

Tarlia · 07/10/2013 23:54

Congratulations, badger, moon and rachel!!

Whoever asked to join the fb group (sorry I forget), did someone help you? You need to send one of use your fb name and description of your profile picture.

The urine sample with the white blood cells - who was that?? No need to tell MW, it just means that either your catch wasn't clean (ie mid flow enough) or you have a UTI. Confused about the swab? Whenever mine showed that they sent the urine off to be tested.

Good luck to those who had sweeps today/having them tomorrow.

Does CS mean no more inductions, tucking?

Memory is shot tonight!

Tarlia · 07/10/2013 23:56

Badger I meant to ask, how's your little princess's heart? How is DS? So glad that you have now had baby as had sounded like things were spiralling and clearly they were, stupid hospital for not moving quicker!

kimblesj · 08/10/2013 00:03

Hi all! Congratulations on all the babies it is so lovely to read! I'm a long time lurker and occasional poster but keep up with you all! I'm officially due on 1st nov so should be on the November bus but given it is ds3 and section 3 he will be born in October. 36+3 today and had a horrendous day sorry for self indulgent moan! I have had horrendous pgp and curvature of spine so have been having physio and hydrotherapy and on crutches and codeine constantly. Today I find out this baby is not only breech but I also have gestational diabetes! Seeing diabetic nurse and consultant tomorrow and going to ask for a section on Friday as I will be 37 weeks. So scared more will go wrong now I am at the end. Took us 2 years to conceive this baby just want him out and safe now! Rant over! This is what happens when I can't sleep! X

notsoold · 08/10/2013 00:13

Pink...my ds is 14 and likes cooking even if the combinations aren't always right. But he was lovely this afternoon !!!!

We worry about a little brother as he was the only boy and the youngest but we also used to worry about h being the only boy and the youngest. It seems that parenthood is all a out worrying !! :)

Diege....you will have your c section before me!!! I was told not to wait for too long before phoning he hospital if contractions become established and of course it waters break. I am quite ok about my csection because the breech as an awkward one. But still.....
Hope you have sorted childcare. Did you find someone to help you out??? If baby is early I will ask my mum to keep an eye on ds and our dog....and knowing her both will put weight on!!! Her Italian cuisine is simple but yummy!!!

notsoold · 08/10/2013 00:19

Kimbles...like you I have gd and baby and is breech so far (37+3).
Fx for you!!!:)
