Sanjifair · 07/10/2013 09:30

tucking haven't read back, but weren't you having some signs last night? Any progress?

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 09:35

Oh sorry tucking, I read the stats list and thought on sanji and me left on the 13th. They say 2's company 3's a crowd so one of us has to give birth before our due date Grin

ImpOfDarkness · 07/10/2013 09:37

Congratulations to all new arrivals! Shire, love the name, Alistair was a frontrunner for us too (but we probably won't use it now for various reasons).

Tarlia · 07/10/2013 09:47

Congratulations shire. I look forward to your story.

tucking I think I read a post from you last night, though I could be equally be losing my sanity or just sleep deprived.

Jinxed myself by saying I had it easy at night and it was ever 2/2.5 hours last night haha. Could have been worse!

Aww, orange, hope it passes quickly.

What did DS weigh, chickie?

Tarlia · 07/10/2013 09:49

Arrrgggg. I hate iPhone auto correct, it swaps normal words for other normal words and makes me look like a gibbering mess haha. I won't correct again, you'll just all have to 'know what I mean' xx

ImpOfDarkness · 07/10/2013 09:52

Ha ha me too tarlia. Mine turned "that is" into "thatcher israel" the other day. WTF?!

Tarlia · 07/10/2013 09:57

Haha what a weird combo imp.

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/10/2013 09:57

Feel better now the cake is out thanks Blush (tmi) I really should know better by now.

Tarlia I hope things improve for you soon.

Mil bought a Moses basket stand over for us yesterday and it is now up in our room until the snuz pod arrives at the end of the month. Keep looking at it and smiling imagining a baby in it. Smile

Has everyone on the thread reached full term (37 weeks) now? Will do soon if not already. Hooray!

claphammama · 07/10/2013 09:59

congrats shire!! looking forward to pics on FB!

good luck today pseudo and moon. pseudo hope you are feeling better about everything this morning - I bet your DS will love having a little sibling. He just doesn't know what it means yet and feels unsettled as is sensing a major change. I'm going through the same thing here.

good luck to all those feeding in the night (however you choose to feed!). You are reminding me how tough it is... I think I completely forgot but getting flashbacks now. rox as everyone says, it's completely normal for them to feed all the time and more at night than in the night. Night feeds regulate your milk production and are very important. As tarlia said, wake her up to feed if she doesn't wake up within three hours. Once your feeding is established, your milk will become richer and her stomach bigger and it won't be so important. She will also feed less frequently and feeds will be quicker. As shooting said the other day, it really gets easier and the nipple pain also goes away as they toughen. You just have to survive these first couple of weeks - it's very hard. And then you will most likely love it. Good luck!
Caz happy due date!

tarlia glad you can abandon crutches! and Envy about sleeping on the tummy Grin

chickie hope your post opp pain will ease off soon.

orange enjoy your mat leave! Easy on this cake Grin

hugs to everyone who is overdue or simply fed up or in pain for one reason or another. I'm SC here at 37+6. To be honest I think I would be OK otherwise but I'm feeling very impatient and jealous with all you having lovely babies before me... I want want too and NOW please! DP thinks this thread and our FB group have a terrible influence on me recently... Grin Grin Grin

tuckingfits · 07/10/2013 09:59

I'm quite happy to volunteer to be the 13th'er who stops playing gooseberry :). No further progress since last nights post. All contractions etc stop when I come to bed,I get most of the morning contraction free & then it all ramps up throughout the afternoon/evening. I actually can't get over how much mucus makes up the mucus plug.

All you new mummies seem to be making light work of your new situations. I can remember being utterly shocked & exhausted & like a fish out of water. I was fine at being DS's mummy but everything else went out of the window for a long long time.

tarlia sorry you had a harder night last night, hope it was a blip & that you get back to normal tonight.

pseudo good luck today. Sorry you are feeling so emotional re DS,I totally get where you're coming from & if I ever do actually go into proper labour I am sure I will be very upset to leave him & know next time I see him he'll have a whole new way of life ahead of him. Which I know is good for him in the long run but it's the potential for upset to his little life that gets me.

claphammama · 07/10/2013 10:05

lol imp what phone are are using...?? mine changed "one" into "want" but I just ignored it hoping everyone will figure out from the sentence. Thatcher Israel is hilarious Grin

claphammama · 07/10/2013 10:16

ps. would it be terrible to go to bed again for another epic nap...?? so much to do today but went bed...

claphammama · 07/10/2013 10:17

want bed not went bed!

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/10/2013 10:20

Do it Clapham! You are building energy reserves and that is a very valid job that needs doing.

claphammama · 07/10/2013 10:24

thanks orange! like thinking about it as "my job" Smile

and glad you are feeling better now that the cake is out!

Natalieand · 07/10/2013 10:28

Do it clapham the luxury will be no more before u no it!!

Glad u had a better night tarlia and are starting to manage without crutches. How is your bp now?

Are me and feminist the only 14/10's?

Was the cake worth it orange?

Got to love good old apple auto correct some of the stuff it comes out with.....

Was seeing the midwife tommorow for my second sweep but she's txt to see if I am available at 11am so I'm a happy bunny this morning this could all change if I am still unfavourable for now anyway lol

Good luck today pseudo

Hope all the new mummies are doing ok :-)

How is Eliana today MoN xxx

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 10:29

Bed is calling Clapham bed is calling.

I've just had a strange breakfast. 2 pop tarts (healthy I know, craved them the other day) a bowl of Special K, followed by Stilton, plum tomatoes, pickled onions and taramasalata with some crackers! Pregnancy hey Grin

Natalieand · 07/10/2013 10:35

flyer I love pop tarts!!! I have some in the cupboard too..... They r so expensive these days tho lol

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/10/2013 10:39

Not really Nat! I am lactose intolerant and although the enzyme tablets work for a little bit of milk I really shouldn't have tried a big slab of cake. Silly silly me.

Flyer that sounds like a proper pregnant woman's breakfast. I have been disappointed by the lack of gherkin ice cream type cravings. How is DP today? Did he end up working late?

Flyer747 · 07/10/2013 10:44

Yes orange he worked until 330am or thereabouts!! Silly man.

I bet you are enjoying being off rather than up at the crack of dawn heading to work.

Nat Choc pop tarts yum! Haven't eaten them since I was a teenager, saw them on the shelf In Tesco and simply needed them. Yes they are pricey though.

Had a weird dream I went into work to fly to Nigeria and pretended I'd had my baby last year, and hoped no one would notice i was still pregnant. All very weird Grin

Good Luck Pseudo and Moon Thanks

rubytwosday · 07/10/2013 10:46

Well, 15 days since A was born and I finally have time to post! Haven't read everything but now seen to have mastered 1 handed bf enough to read at least some posts! Congratulations to all those whose babies have arrived and thinking lots of positive contraction vibes for those fed up of waiting. I am in awe of those mums in the first week who have been keeping up and posting - I found the every 2 hour feedings tough but the last few nights she has settled into approx 3 hr feeds which means 2 hours of uninterrupted sleep!

OrangeBlossom2 · 07/10/2013 10:59

Yes flyer so relieved not to be at work! Grr at your DP. Not surprising based on what you have said but that doesn't sound like he is making an effort to look after himself at all. Sending him a cross teacher face Angry

Waves to ruby. Wow it sounds like things are going really well with feeding/sleeping.

Sanjifair · 07/10/2013 11:23

clapham I just dropped DS off at nursery then had an hour nap. Got woken by postman with parcel for next door, grr. He asked me when I was due, I said next week, he said 'doubt you'll get that far'. Hope he is right.
ruby sounds like all is going well.

ananikifo · 07/10/2013 11:24

Congratulations Shire! ThanksThanks

takingachance · 07/10/2013 11:30

Hi,
Just to say I am still here, reading but shockingly bad at posting Blush
But I am also due on the 13th, so still quite crowded for that date...

Getting lots of BH and went in to maternity for monitoring the other day as I thought some of my waters had gone, but they said baby is happy and they didn't think my waters had gone so they sent me home.

SC at 39+1; dd1 came at 39+4 so hopeful.. otherwise booked in for a sweep at 40+0 x
