Oh and welcome Ready I forgot to say that earlier.

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 21:58

Pseudo I was thinking very same thing whilst watching SCD. Unfortunately not me...

Flyer good on you for finding out about the Strep B. My mw poo pooed my Qs about it.

Is anyone else finding that other people look unfeasibly slim these days? or is it just that my arse is the size of texas in comparison?

Clapham please come over and cook Grin

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 22:03

I wrote my birth plan today. Round of applause please! It was about 10lines long, I'm sure I've missed loads of important stuff, but at least it was longer than just 'Get my baby out of me with as little pain as possible please'.

Now better get off to bed and read another chapter of baby names. I'm on to the 'B's now. Shame there aren't 26 days between now and D Day.

PseudoBadger · 05/10/2013 22:03

I cried tonight as tomorrow will be the last night that I put DS to bed as an only. I told DP I might wake DS up and bring him into bed if he doesn't wake on his own for lots of cuddles. He told me I'm unhinged :o

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 22:11

Ah, pseudo I was just thinking about you and that tomorrow's your last day as 3. Must be strange, but at least you know rather than thinking any night could be that last. Enjoy those night-time snuggles xxxxx

MrsHoratioNelson · 05/10/2013 22:19

Well, I've just checked the lottery results and we haven't won ten million quid. Maybe I'll win a baby as a consolation prize?

Off to bed to help the swollen ankles go down... Night all x

HeffalumpTheFlump · 05/10/2013 22:36

MrsH, what are the numbers???? I cant get on the bloody site. It's driving me bananas!!

HeffalumpTheFlump · 05/10/2013 22:40

Ah don't worry, I got on. Haven't won the jackpot. Now to check the raffle.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 05/10/2013 22:52

Nope, not a sausage! :(

OrangeBlossom2 · 05/10/2013 23:15

Thanks to all those feeling rubbish.

Pink, yes I was looking at all the dancers on SCD and wondering how I was ever that slim too (never that fit/muscular but I can pretend it is just pregnancy preventing me looking like that!). I feel particularly whale like this evening. Just had a bath and my usual very unglamorous exit involved much splashing and "ow"ing. Baby seemed to enjoy the water though.

I bought some lottery tickets this morning. Off to check now...

FeministInTraining · 06/10/2013 00:16

MrsH you see if you had been listening to whale music you wouldn't have got caught in an AIBU crossfire Grin

Your comment about diarrhoea made me laugh Pseudo hoping my curry has some more desirable effects. In established labour by morning sounds good! Hope you enjoy your last day as a mum of one.

Well done to your boys Caz

They don't do tours of the labour ward at Lewisham either Clapham apparently due to infection risk- but they do tours of the MLU in the same building. Not buying their reason at all, more like over stretched, understaffed services!

Sorry you're still feeling rough Tarlia Flowers

Forgot to do the lottery. DP and I just apologised to the baby as we are messing up it's chances of being born to millionaires!

chickieno1 · 06/10/2013 00:17

im clueless clapham dont have fb sorted on phone. will post pics when home tomorrow xx

notsoold · 06/10/2013 00:37

funkky · 06/10/2013 00:40

Quick update. Baby boy was born this morning after an epic 29 hour labour from start to finish.

Baby weighed 10lb 10!!!! And it took forever to get him out as he held his hand out with his face. I Was basically delirious, in too much agony but don't want to scare anyone with my story.

He's super adorable though not sure ill ever get over the trauma. Will catch up properly and put pics up on FB later

Congrats to everyone else who's had their babies!

notsoold · 06/10/2013 00:52

Funkky congratulations on the arrival of your little boy!!! Xxxx

chickieno1 · 06/10/2013 01:08

congrats funkky!!! wow 10lb 10 impressive! hope you re recovering now [flowrrs]

chickieno1 · 06/10/2013 01:09

Flowers even

PseudoBadger · 06/10/2013 01:36

Congratulations Funkky!! I'm sorry you had a tough time xx

Something I've eaten today has beaten my amazing Omeprazole and my heartburn is awful. So I've come down to the sofa and am currently watching Denzel Washington in 'Flight'. I hate flying so why I watch films about plane crashes I'll never know....

FeministInTraining · 06/10/2013 01:51

Congratulations Funkky your baby boy was clearly using his extra time to pile on the pounds, well done you! Flowers

Haylebop12 · 06/10/2013 04:42

Congrats funkky hope your feeling ok. That's a long labour so well done to you!

xuntitledx · 06/10/2013 06:50

Congrats funkky

MrsHoratioNelson · 06/10/2013 07:08

Congratulations Funkky!! My nephew came out like that (like Superman Grin) although he wasn't quite such a whopper! You poor thing, you must be exhausted. If its ant consolation (and realise the last thing on your mind right now) myDSis recovered sufficiently to be expecting her second next May :

And sorry Flyer I forgot to say I hope your MW can reassure you about your results.

Can I pick your brains please ladies? Last night just after getting into bed I was having a few tummy and back cramps that I put down to the pineapple that never really agrees with me (but will I learn...?!). Shortly afterwards, I felt a strong sensation of being squeezed round my middle (it felt like a boa constrictor had got hold of me to be honest Confused) my bump went rock hard and it was quite painful but i could breathe through it. This went on for about 40 seconds, gradually increasing and then dying off. I went quite hot and and got a prickly feeling under my skin. What does that sound like to you?

To me, it felt like a contraction "ought" to feel, in so much as I thought oh, that's a contraction. But I got one Hmm of these and then... Nothing, despite lying awake for ages afterwards. So now I'm completely confused!!

MrsHoratioNelson · 06/10/2013 07:14

PS Is special flattering lighting in maternity wards or are they slipping something extra in the gas and air? Lots of people on FB looking faaaaar too glam and relaxed after having these babies :). I think my pics only be of the baby...

Iheartcrunchiebars · 06/10/2013 07:16

Funkky congratulations and what a biggy!

Mrshoratio Sounds like a contraction to me? I reckon it was a practise one and there'll be a baby Horatio by Monday!

I am so happy. Only had 3 wee wake ups in the night and woke up at 655am! I feel so much better compared to the usual 8 and 430 wake ups.

Have a lovely Sunday everyone.
