Congratulations rox.

These babies are coming thick and fast now aren't they?

For the last 4 nights, I have been woken up with contractions that last a few hours and then disappear again. What the hell is that all about? I just want this baby in my arms now. I am so totally fed up with pregnancy and am "only" 39+3. I really feel for you ladies that have gone past the 40 week milestone.

PseudoBadger · 05/10/2013 12:13

Congratulations Roxvox!!!!

ananikifo · 05/10/2013 12:15

Congrats chickie, nelly, and roxvox! In loving this baby boom!

clapham I've been getting really hot recently and my anxiety is through the roof. I don't know how close I am to labour though. There have been lots of changes to my body and the way I feel recently which I've just put down to end of pregnancy and the slow preparation for baby.

ananikifo · 05/10/2013 12:19

And nat I agree about the MOT and car repairs. DH is taking our car in for repairs this afternoon and I'm going crazy just imagining how much it will cost but it needs to be done. Most of my recent anxiety is about money so I think he was afraid to talk to me about it.

Wickedgirl · 05/10/2013 12:36

Can someone with a computer update the spread sheets please? I can't remember who has given birth already........the babies are coming too fast for me to keep up!

cazboldy · 05/10/2013 12:42

Congratulations Roxvox, Lovely name xx Smile

Tarlia · 05/10/2013 12:44

Congratulations, chickie, Nelly and rox. Bit of a baby girl boom yesterday it seems!

p.button happy due date. I have my fingers crossed little lady doesn't keep you waiting too long.

chickie hope the wind passes soon and doesn't go to your shoulder!

mon you are doing amazingly to be so mobile already. Please remember you've had major surgery and need to take it easy.

badger I can't believe them! Do you have any other symptoms other than the readings? My bloods were within 'normal' range, but showed a slight change - though only one dr was honest about this, the others just said they were normal. This has been the case both pregnancies. Rest as much as you possibly can until Monday

clapham and ana sorry you are both feeling wobbly at the moment. Fingers crossed its labour prep and passes soon.

flyer I'm surprised the nurse gave him the wifi code when he needs to rest. I really hope he is ok and back home with you really soon.

Natalieand · 05/10/2013 13:02

Congrats on the birth of your little bundle roxvox xxx beautiful name too --although I'm glad u told me how too pronounce it lol-

textbook · 05/10/2013 13:04

Big congratulations to chickie, nelly and rox ThanksThanksThanks it's babies galore at the moment - hopefully all those sfw will meet theirs soon Grin

For anyone suffering with wind, I took wind-eze tablets after my CS and found them really helpful. Fine for bf too.

We are having a growth spurt here, so I'm totally exhausted. I'd forgotten in the 6 years between dd's how intense these first weeks are. Was very tearful yesterday, an dp not being very supportive. Sigh.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 05/10/2013 13:07

Congratulations chickie, nelly and rox!!! Flowers xx

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 13:23

Congratulations roxvox Thanks Thanks

Everyone's chosen such lovely names Grin

Now I've completely forgotten who said what and who's in what stage of pre/mid labour. I hope nat and pseudo manage to have good calming weekends and don't end up back in triage.

I've got deja vu today- a limp-inducing hip pain that I haven't had since my last couple of weeks pg with DS. I can just about hobble around the house but I think that's my limit now.
DH has 'considerately' arranged for us to go to lunch at a mate of his in Putney tomorrow which is the last thing I feel like doing, but don't think there's any getting out of it...(I'm so selfish!)

Hope the car repair news is good Grin

Shootingstarsandcomets · 05/10/2013 13:24

clapham I have woken up sweating the last couple of nights, quite disgusting. Almost like the sweats you get post birth. I'm not in labour though, maybe just some new hormonal thing. Hope it is a sign though I'd love to go into labour this week.
38 weeks today.
Oh and ds took two very unsteady steps on his own today- what's the betting he walks just as I go into labour!!

Sanjifair · 05/10/2013 13:37

Congratulations roxvox!

Natalieand · 05/10/2013 13:40

Car flew through MOT with just an advisory for a new tyre so that's all good news for me!!

Was if clapham who said about sweating? I'm just a big sweating mess 24:7 my hair always looks a frizzy mess cos I'm so hot and sticky one nice health care assistant from yesterday's assesment unit got me a fan go have on me cos I was sweating so much while being monitored lol

Mnippy · 05/10/2013 13:42

textbook - thanks for the tip, I have packed the windeze!

roxvox - congratulations Thanks!!!

Well this is getting very exciting now...as should be expected now it's October and this IS the October bus. I wonder how many lurkers (whether pregs or not pregs) there are just following the thread for a shot of happy news!

roofio87 · 05/10/2013 14:19

Finally managed a full breast feed. 5 mins on one boob but 15 on the other so really pleased. he doesn't seem to be too bothered about food, but I'm forcing him to get there!! Smile

cazboldy · 05/10/2013 14:37

chickieno1 · 05/10/2013 14:42

congrats rox, lovely name xx

thanks everyone for all the good wishes. she s gorgeous (even if i say so myself)! im in shock cos i was really convinced i was having a boy :)

Tarlia · 05/10/2013 15:02

roo well done!

chickie looking forward to seeing a photo. Do you have a name for her yet?

nat that's good!

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 15:24

roofio well done on the bf front!

Shooting you reminded me that I had a few sweaty nights last week too, and I'm 38+1 so maybe we're going thru similar hormonal changes. The waterproof bed-protector doesn't help... And v exciting about your DS's first steps. A moment you'll remember forever!

chickie & funkky looking forward to the photos on FB... I'm loving all these babies. Can't believe I'm going to have one too in 2 weeks Confused

Just had a lovely moment curled up on the sofa with DS head on my tummy goading his unborn sister into kicking him Grin

Readyasilleverbe · 05/10/2013 15:35

Hi all. Finally feel that this is real enough to climb aboard, very much at the back! Now on mat leave with 19 days to go feel that I'd like to say thank you for all the advice and info I've picked up from intermittent reading of the thread! We haven't done any ante natal classes so it has been pretty useful! I'm due 24th, 1st baby, don't know gender. Huge congrats to all those who have their babies and very best of luck to all those in waiting. X

OrangeBlossom2 · 05/10/2013 15:39

Waves to readyasilleverbe Smile

ImpOfDarkness · 05/10/2013 15:49

Congratulations to all the new arrivals! It was my birthday yesterday, a good day to be born ;-) I had a bit of a worrying day with very little movement but he's picked right up again this afternoon so I'm feeling a bit more relaxed today. DP got me a new iPad so I'm all set for breastfeeding ´n' one-handed surfing :-)

Pinkforboys · 05/10/2013 16:03

Happy Birthday for yesterday, Imp. V Jealous of your iPad pressie, lucky you xxx

Hello Ready!

Mnippy · 05/10/2013 16:26

Pink - in the end I removed my waterproof bed protectors. They made me so much more sweaty (despite being very thin and beneath my actual sheets - they didn't allow me to ventilate I think). The bed has a mattress protector anyway and fingers crossed I won't gush toooo much if it happens. My sleep has been much more comfortable as a result!
