Hayle - so glad Isaac's doing well x x

Mnippy · 04/10/2013 20:13

Forgot to say congrats to Roofio!!

Mon, how lovely that you got to hold E. What a precious moment.

Re dtd, DP said before bed yesterday - so, shall we have sex tonight? Then we both looked at each other and laughed for so hard and so long that I felt sick.

Natalieand · 04/10/2013 20:30

Thanks for the advice everyone, baby has moved a little this afternoon so feeling re assured on that front, if I have any issues I'm in the fortunate position of having a very understanding midwife too contact before hand and as she's the manager of community midwives I will discuss with her on Tuesday what I was told today and see what she makes of it.

MoN excellent news about Eliana, so pleased you've had some good news and managed to have some cuddles, hope the next few days run just as smoothly for u xxx

hayle I'm glad all the professionals are pleased with isaacs progress. How is Amelia coping with being a big sis?

rachel that made me chuckle out loud and I read the post to dh.... He didn't find it quite as amusing as me lol

I swear my baby brain has upped its anti the last few days I read what's on the thread then can remember nothing by the time I'm at the end of it

Have I missed a post from chickieo was she having her elcs today? Xx

Haylebop12 · 04/10/2013 20:37

nat I'm not g

Haylebop12 · 04/10/2013 20:40

Gonna lie, she's quite emotional and has been having a few meltdowns when she's been told off. Tbh though I'm putting it down to tiredness more than the changes at home... Cuz honestly there hasn't been a lot of changes. However, she is 100% besotted with her brother. She's constantly kissing, stroking him etc.

Dh is taking her to the cinema tomorrow and she's still getting her bedtime story. It'll settle I'm sure.

Natalieand · 04/10/2013 20:49

Ahh bless her, hopefully she will be back to her normal self in a few days.

When I dropped dd at pre school this morning before monitoring both my sisters txt me saying ooo they might induce u, and the thought of dropping dd off for the last time of just being me and her and dh made me cry on my own in the car. I didn't wanna let her go I felt terrible... I really hope I get over all this emotional stuff sooner rather than later

MrsHoratioNelson · 04/10/2013 20:55

Glad to hear you got a cuddle MoN

Clapham my turn to get cross with DH this evening - he has got work to do this weekend, which I understand, but he let me have a conversation with him about what we were going to watch on lovefilm and then announced that this work can't wait and has to be done this evening Sad

So now I am disappointed and lonely... Angry. This is typical of him - tells me what he thinks I want to hear and then lets me down later Angry

I'm on a complete high after seeing her wicked. I feel so much better.

Legally The cardiologist said that the pulmonary Artesia doesn't really add much to the diagnosis of ToF as aspects of the condition are both so similar. Perhaps he didn't want to confuse me and that's why he didn't mention it. When I googled it made it sound like artesia was a severe complication but perhaps like everything every case is different. Hopefully the duct stays open
and she doesn't need the immediate surgery. She looks so healthy I can't believe she is so seriously ill.

pink I'm back at the maternity hospital tonight but am hopeful for discharge tomorrow. My friend said she'll come and take me back to Yorkhill to see Eliana tomorrow then home for one night with Dp and then praying I get a space at Ronald McDonald house the day after so I can be near her.

Natalieand · 04/10/2013 21:13

How long is she expected to stay in MoN if all goes well and can be discharged until surgery is needed?

Wickedgirl · 04/10/2013 21:49

Mon.......I'm glad that you're doing ok too. Please look after yourself, you are having a tough time and need to be cared for too. Flowers

claphammama · 04/10/2013 22:07

MoN such amazing news! Fingers crossed she doesn't need surgery right away. And, as wicked says, make sure you look after yourself - you will need so much stamina for the next few weeks xx

Rachel Grin Grin Grin spectacular!! you proved that dtd definitely works! Just told DP about it but he looked unsure... don't think I will be getting any now!

flyer sorry he needs to stay overnight. How ironic you are going to visit him now... is it the same hospital you would be going to by the way?

Just came back from curry as couldn't face cooking tonight. There were three other heavily pregnant women there! I was the only one having a glass of wine...Blush

MrsH come to London to see Woody Allen with me. Stuff these men!

claphammama · 04/10/2013 22:08

and hayle glad Isaac is doing so well!

MotherOfNations · 04/10/2013 22:13

I didn't ask Nat because I didn't want to get my hopes up.

char1eston · 04/10/2013 22:15

Checking in. I manage to read about 20 posts then have to do a feed. Off to try and catch up

Natalieand · 04/10/2013 22:21

Sorry hope I didn't offend u Mon xxx

flyer how was dp? Hope he's on the mend soon xx

BridgetandtheHairyBrigands · 04/10/2013 22:22

Gosh, lots of things have happened today...

Huge congratulations to Roofio - I hope little Hunter is doing well - exciting times x

Flyer - sorry to hear about your DP. I hope he is ok and back home with you ASAP.

MoN - so glad you got some special time with Eliana today and keeping my fingers crossed for you all. I hope you manage some sleep tonight and echo others that have said please look after yourself too.

Diege - how exciting to have your cs date...only a week and a bit to go..

Really, really, really, don't want this baby to put in an appearance tonight. DP is out on a friend's leaving do (he's promised not to drink but bound to be tired tomorrow) and the house is more disorganised than it's been in weeks...barely any food in the house and even the dog has run out of kibble..

I'm hoping my NCT teacher isn't talking bollocks when she says that women don't tend to go into labour until everything feels 'right'.

OrangeBlossom2 · 04/10/2013 22:24

That sounds really positive MoN. That would be lovely if you could take her home. Everything crossed.

Just been for a meal with DH to celebrate the end of work (field to fork in Epsom - was nice) Very tired but it was lovely to have a last couple evening out for a while. Someone let me queue jump in the toilets, I look like I am about to pop clearly!

Haha Rachel. Hope things progress nicely for you now. Just told DH thinking he would be put off but think he is happy to assist when the "get this thing out of me" time comes.

Flyer sorry they need to keep DP in. Just what you could do without at the moment. Thanks

In laws coming to stay tomorrow so some enforced nesting in the morning.

MrsHoratioNelson · 04/10/2013 22:25

I shouldn't worry Bridget I finished my to do list days ago and I'm still not in labour! Grin

Actually, there is one thing left to do - put up the mobile I made. But that depends on DH spraying the wood and generally getting his act together. First on the list for tomorrow I think...

Thanks for the well wishes.

Just back from dropping dp's hospital bag off...he is fine, even happier now he has a private room and his bloody laptop! Although no wifi so don't know what he intends to do with it..probably cuddle/spoon the thing for comfort! Grin

Glad to hear Isaac is doing well Hayley great news.

Can't remember anything else.

I get a bit scared in this house alone I'm a total wuss I hope I can zzz.

Flyer747 · 04/10/2013 22:30

Oh and Clapham no it's a different hospital, I'm going to Liverpool Women's which is a maternity and gynae hospital only.

claphammama · 04/10/2013 22:45

LOL flyer cuddling and stroking his laptop under his duvet... Grin

Flyer747 · 04/10/2013 23:10

Omg Marley and Me is on e4+1 shouldn't be watching this when pregnant and hormonal

MotherOfNations · 04/10/2013 23:44

Don't be silly Nat. You didn't offend me at all.

I keep feeling baby kicking and rub my bump then I remember there's no baby in there now and it's gas bubbles I'm feeling.

moonblues · 05/10/2013 00:02

MoN so glad you got to hold Eliana and she's off the ventilator. Glad the cardiologist was able to explain some of the mixed messages. Hope you get your early discharge and a room in the Ronald McDonald house tomorrow. I'm so cross with that cleaner. Angry I would complain about her to someone.

Hayle so good to hear Issac is doing well.

Rachel Grin. Read out your post to DH and he's a bit worried your DP may be emotionally scarred! Hope things are progressing nicely.

Congratulations roofio

Flyer hope you DP is ok and gets out tomorrow. Hope you manage to get to sleep ok.
