X post magpie - night night

incognitodontyouknow · 14/07/2006 23:34

Sorry to crash but I would like to ask all you ttc experts something.
Did any of you REALLY feel like AF was about to come? I mean REALLY like cramps and everything?
Please let me know.
Ta.

dixia · 15/07/2006 07:16

Hi Incognito,
Sorry, I was pretty sure I was pg, although had some normal AF signs - period pains and sore tits. I think some of the early signs of pg can be the same as you might get for your AF. Sorry I can't be of more help

HellKat · 15/07/2006 08:31

Quick gate crash all.
Just wanted to say huge congratulations to you all!!
Piffle- {{{{{{{{{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}}}}}}}} so, so, so, so pleased you're here hunny!!!! Absolutely made up for you. Take it easy & enjoy it!!! You deserve it.
Chacha- Don't know if you remember me from the Due in Nov thread, but huge congrats!!!! I'm currently 31+2 & it's flown by.

Here's wishing you all happy, healthy pg's!
xx

spook · 15/07/2006 09:43

Morning all and hey kikidee!!! Welcome to the wonderful world of March babes.
I am STARVING all the time but could be fact that given up smoking.
Booboo-I am outraged that Nikki has gone and unfortunately it set my hormones over the edge last night and I sobbed for 2 hours. Absolute devastation!!!-Alot of guilt about my DS's but Big Brother deffo started it off!! God-hormones can be wicked!!!!!! Felt incredibly like baby blues (remember that all you second timers??)
Mum2oliver-I will be away from 10 weeks to 14 and am so so worried about my nuchal fold (I'm 39)
Will let you know what my midwife says on Weds.
Hope nobody's too sick this morning XX

dixia · 15/07/2006 10:49

Haven't actually been sick this morning, but woke up feeling awful in the early hours and am only just shaking it off. Luckily for me my wonderful friend, who doesn't even know I'm pregnant, decided to take my ds off for the day to play with her dd. She arrived at 9am to take him away. DP has been away for a week and I'm so exhausted, so I'm really really grateful. Ought to go back to bed, but the kitchen needs repainting...

spook · 15/07/2006 11:02

GO BACK FOR A SNOOZE. The Spookster demands it.

Booboobedoo · 15/07/2006 14:11

Glad I'm not the only obsessive spook . I know it MUST be the hormones, but I actually couldn't get to sleep last night, for thinking about her poor little face when they said her name!

Anyway, this thread's not s'posed to be about BB

Last morning of work this morning. Don't know how I managed it. I teach a class of kids on my own for 3 hours on Saturday mornings. Had to tell them I had a stomach bug - and they were very nice to me.

Incognito - I was pretty sure I was PG, but you do get cramps (especially if it's your first) as your ligaments are relaxing.

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough dixia.

Piffle · 15/07/2006 19:58

I'm checking in.
All ok, feeling a little more relaxed again.
Very tired about 2pm just fade so fast.
Luckily dd is asleep for two hrs at that time so we both hit the hay today.
Getting some food aversions too...
Hope those who are poorly ahve a decent weekend with dh's home to help out
I had severe HG with dd, it was GRIM. I heard the morning well cd's are good and preggy pops
I am stocking up already bought my sea sick bands just in case...AF due day tomorrow, no symptoms of it anymore
Phew...

dixia · 15/07/2006 23:22

I had bad HG last time too, so am bracing myself for it to set in. The preggie pops are in the post! I ordered them a few days ago, didn't try them last time, but I'm onto it now.

My question is...how do you wear the bands and keep the pg a secret? Particularly in hot weather? Clearly I must stay in bed the whole time - that's what I'll do, its a good excuse.

btw, got insomnia, not just up late (its an hour later here). DP is arriving home at some stage during the night. I'm like a girl on xmas eve...not really (he he)

Piffle · 16/07/2006 07:26

Last time no one even asked or knew what they were
I was going to say I had an inner ear imbalance which made me nauseous hence the bands, I'll do that again if it happens..

spook · 16/07/2006 08:50

Hi Piffle,
How you feeling this morning? No more Af symptoms I hope. I'm on my tod-Ds's with their dad and DP on Stag Do. Was really looking forward to HUGE sleep but ofcourse woke with the lark (well sodding noisy dogs next door)
Got weepy again yesterday-Big Brother set me off AGAIN!
I feel so guilty keeping this a secret from my lovely DS's.
Hope you got some sleep Dixia and your lovely boy came home

Piffle · 16/07/2006 15:14

On my own here too... dp is so busy at work with the air show this week down south (he works 250 miles away in Hants, we're in Lincs) he normally leaves mon 6am and is home fri afternoon, or sometimes thursday night.. this weekend he ahd to be off at 6am this morning
I am lucky I have my gorgeous 12 yr old ds to help me out and dd 3.8y slept from 1pm and is still asleep now, so I got a good lie down. Woke up to ds making flapjacks and tea for my afternoon wake up.. bless him
I think and I am not complaining, that it will be a very tough 9 mths physically, it was hard at 31 at 36 it is going to be tough!

dixia · 16/07/2006 15:29

Anyone else got a really hard tummy? Mine is rock solid (underneath the flab), let me assure you that I'm not at all toned, got a lot of wobble, but its very very hard underneath that. Does that make sense? it has been hard since i got my bfp, I remember the same thing last time. Its weird and dp thinks its a bit freaky. Anyone else the same?

Piffle · 16/07/2006 15:45

when I was on the internet researching early pg symptoms (as you do when an obsessive ttc'er) hard tummy came up quite a few times
Sadly mine is still as soft and malleable
Does your bump show earlier on subsequent pregs?
I cannot recall with dd when I started outgrowing things, but I know with ds I wore my jeans til 7 months doneup!
I know I have to go bra shopping asap to get a non wired one too...

wheelybug · 16/07/2006 20:09

Hi All

Hope you've all had a nice weekend. We've mainly been doing things to the house as we're trying to get it on the market so we can move and have got quite a lot done. Now just need to tidy and minimilise somehow !! I think a lot will be going in the attic !

Haven't had any more actual sickness since friday but both mornings have felt queasy but have had a biscuit as soon as I've woken up so don't know if this has stopped the actual vomming ! Will look into preggy pops - what are they ??

Incognito - if you're still around, I got definite cramps with both pregnancies - with dd I didn't realise you could so assumed AF was on its way but it never arrived. Probably got more cramps this time round lasted a week or maybe a bit more.

Piffle - I think bumps are supposed to show earlier with subsequent pregnancies. My tummy certainly isn't hard but when I've eaten am sure it looks more round and bloated. Wow on wearing normal jeans with first baby till 7 months ! I was huge with dd (and all out front bump) despite her being 4 lbs 9 oz so will be interesting to see what happens this time !

LaidbackinAsia · 16/07/2006 20:56

Hi everyone

Its 1.15am here and I can't sleep ! DH is on his way back from a weekend surfing and so I think my insomnia is excitement rather than pregnancy related.

Has everyone been to the Doctors yet ? I have to admit I am a bit slack. I am back in the UK in September for 3 weeks and was going to wait until then. There is only one good standard hospital in Sri Lanka with maternity services and it is 4 (bumpy) hours away !!

This is babe #3 and with last pregnacy, there was minimum intervention from GP and Midwives . I only had regular scans at 12 and 20 weeks I think . Didn't have any of the other tests, nuchal(sp?) fold/amnio etc.

Will be 14 weeks when I come back to England.Am I being too "Laidback" ??!!

Jaysecond · 16/07/2006 20:58

Hi all, hpe your weekends have been happy and sick free! I am fortunate not to have suffered with MS with either my first or this one, i did however get everything else under the sun from Carpel tunnel to SPD, so i can't gloat too much!Welcome to Kikidee, nice to have another March lady here. My weekend was good DH and i went up to Nottingham to sort out some house stuff, our date for moving is the 5th August so we need to get packing ASAP! it was tought not telling my family and friends the news especially as my brother and SIL announced she was 12 weeks pregnant!!! so i am a mere 6 weeks behind heheheheeh its quite nice having a secret for a bit!

Re pains and cramps, for the past two dats i have also been having them, its a strange feeling, i read somewhere that its the uterus expanding and moving about, it needs to hurry up and settle itself down i tell you!!!

thenamegame · 17/07/2006 07:14

Morning all - just thought I'd send a quick message to all suffering from MS. My dp brought back some Rochester Ginger from the UK, which I used a lot in my first pg. It is really helping this time.

Rochester Ginger can be bought in Holland and Barratt and is a very strong ginger drink (non-alcholic) - you only need a shot!

Can recommend it!

Piffle · 17/07/2006 08:18

thx for the tip, not sure on the odds of getting it HG again though.
With dd it started late at 7w exactly.
So I am thinking + and getting house in order, sorting out cleaner and ironing lady just inc ase - dp works away and is knackered at weekends so he has agreed - extra help will be available if I need it.
Iam stocking up on everything to comabt m/s
ginger, morningwell cd, preggy pops... got good homeopath and acupuncturist ready too!
Taking no prisoners...

Clary · 17/07/2006 08:37

stretchmarks · 17/07/2006 09:14

Morning all,

Hope you are all well. I had a terrible day yesterday spent most of it in bed feeling rotten - think I may have over done it a bit on Saturday in the heat. Feeling better this morning though.

Hormones are running rampant - Friday night I seemed to cry at everything I watched on TV!!!!!

Piffle · 17/07/2006 10:31

thx clary lets hope this one stays PUT!!!
That said it was teh strongest bfp line I've ever had in my life!

spook · 17/07/2006 11:12

Morning everyone,
I woke up this morning and was bleeding. I don't know what to do. It wasn't loads but have had spots this morning and feel crampy. Had horrible tummy ache yesterday. So bad I couldn't get in the car for 10 mins.
Called my midwife over an hour ago and left message but she hasn't called back yet.
Stretchmarks, my hormones are all over the place. I just can't stop crying. Weeping infact!!
What should I be doing?? Lying down?
TIA X

wheelybug · 17/07/2006 11:16

Spook - sorry to hear this but I think you can bleed and it still be ok. Can you phone your gp? In the meantime, try and rest. Will be thinking of you - let us know how you are doing when you can.
