Hi, anyone mind if I join you? Had my BFP about 2hrs ago and it's still sinking in It's been a while since I last did this as DD is 6!

Am very excited even though it's early days, last af was June 15th so think that EDD is 22nd March 2007

Jaysfirst · 09/07/2006 21:45

hi magpie, welcome, its exciting isnt it, but also scarey at the same time! Theres a stas thread you might want to add to, the link is a bit further below!!!!

1973magpie · 09/07/2006 22:04

Thanks Jays, I am excited and a little nervous. I found the stats thread and in my excitement posted there first before finding this thread!

It just seems so long since I was pg with dd!! Looks like there's a few of us on here, looking forward to having others in the same position to talk to as I haven't told anyone other than dh yet

thankyoupoppet · 10/07/2006 09:22

stretchmarks · 10/07/2006 10:20

HI,

I'm new to this but had to share my news somewhere.

Stats
Me: 31
DH: 36
DS: 3
Due - March 16th
Bridesmaid on April 5th aaaaahhhhhhhh - not told the bride yet I know she will be pleased but I am dreading it - huge leaky breasts and a wobbly belly (shock)

Booboobedoo · 10/07/2006 10:55

Welcome stretchmarks, thankyoupoppet, magpie and Jaysfirst - and CONGRATULATIONS!

This thread is filling up nicely now - looking forward to getting to know you all.

Are you all MNers anyway, or are any of you new?

Morning sickness hit with a vengeance this morning - was hoping I was going to be one of the lucky exceptions.

Beany is going through a huge growth spurt right now, so I suppose that's why I'm like a wet dish-cloth.

How's everyone else today?

ChaCha · 10/07/2006 11:38

Jaysfirst - OMG, how nice to see your name here, congratulations! I was on the November thread last year but DS was born 3rd December. Am now due in Feb [gulp] but the end of Feb so could easily have LO in March, will tell more at Thursday's dating scan.

How's everything?

And hi to everyone else and congrats x

pinkranger · 10/07/2006 11:49

Hi everyone and crongratulations to Newbys!!

I am 5 weeks today, seems unreal still!!

Have no real symptons yet apart from sore boobs, and being really really tired!! and a bit stupid at times!!

Hope that everyone else is well, cant get used to your new name booboodebo!!

Booboobedoo · 10/07/2006 12:56

I know PR - I keep thinking they've put the wrong name on.

My MS is 'orrible, but I've found something that makes me feel better - bacon!

Obesity here I come.

Don't want to sound dense, but what does LO stand for? I know it's your kid, as I've seen it around, but what's it an acronym for? Little Offspring? Lovely orange? What?

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 12:57

Hi Chacha, i regognised your name from before. My LO was due Dec 31 but came on Jan 3, this one is due March 11, so i am in sim situation to you! Really happy about it, i wanted to have them close together and it seems - touch wood, that it wil happen for me. Although i am more nervous this time round, sounds daft but because its my second i feel like i should prepare for things to go wrong, just me being paranoid i guess! Am 5 wks and 1 day. Last time when i found out i was just over six weeks and had really really sore boobs and was sooooooo tired, bit like pinkranger, but as yet i have no symptoms at all, if i hadnt done a test on sat i would never know.. maybe thats why i feel a bit apprehensive about it all.
Hi booboo and everyone else, it wil be fun to get to know everyone and compare notes, as you may have gathered i am not new to mumsnet, but i didnt start this early on with DD1, i think i joined in half way through pregnancy. Will be intresting to have been in from the start!

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 12:57

LO- LITTLE ONE

Booboobedoo · 10/07/2006 13:25

Thanks Jaysfirst

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 13:28

YW! :0

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 13:28

:O !!

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 13:28

HMMMMM...... .... THERE WE GO!!

thankyoupoppet · 10/07/2006 14:05

I have not told 1 person, not even DH, it feels really exciting to be keeping it to myself, dh is super busy over next few months and worries un-necessarily during first few months of preg, gonna try and surprise him at the scan! he will think I'm 6 weeks and actually be 20 weeks! he will really appreciate it in the long run (i hope...) he really wants a may baby but it's too late for that!! so lucky to not get ms, hoping this preg is the same!

1973magpie · 10/07/2006 14:44

Hi all, thanks for the nice welcome I haven't got any real symptoms yet, just constantly feeling excited, slightly tender boobs and very tired! Hope I don't get bad ms like last time, hasn't started yet, so fingers crossed

Very hard not to tell anyone at work though, but we have decided to try and keep it quiet for a little while...

Booboobedoo · 10/07/2006 19:02

thankyoupoppet - don't know how you could keep it from your DH for so long! I texted mine at work the minute I'd done the test. Suppose it's different with your first, though.

MS eventually subsided, but was like trying to work with food-poisoning and a hangover this morning.

I'm six weeks tomorrow, so beany is growing his little leg-buds. He's working hard.

coggy · 10/07/2006 19:04

Hurrah!!!

Jaysfirst · 10/07/2006 19:18

wow thankyoupoppet... youre going it alone for a bit, even though its my second i want to yell it from the roof, theres no way i couldnt tell DH he was the one that kept on about tests, and as he works mostly from home, he was here when i did both of my tests, he thinks he has super sperm, we only had sex once.......his chest is as puffed as a doves!!
Went to the docs this eve just to get the ball rolling with scans etc, doc is really pro about having LO's so close together so that was cool. Only thing that wasnt cool, DD1 has an ear infection and is now on antibiatics, i knew there was something wrong....shes been poorly on and off for 6 weeks but they wouldnt give her AB at first , told me she had to 'fight' it off, well enoughs enough, i told doc i wanted to have AB and he agreed. So fingers crossed she will be right as rain in a few days!
Still not feeling like i am pregnant, i thought i would know straight away with the second... anyone else not feeling anything?

thankyoupoppet · 10/07/2006 20:17

It is gonna be a real challenge to keep schtum, but I know how much he will love finding out that we are half way there when he does find out, when preg with ds2 he found it so long and difficult to relax about the first trimester, so as much as I really want him to know, he will be really thrilled. SO glad I can speak on here about it though!
sorry about your dd jayfirst hope she mends really fast. just 6 months! wow -quick work indeed! I have a 6 year gap between my two boys, but I am really chuffed to now have a close gap.
got to go dh just came in ha ha!

themum · 10/07/2006 22:42

Hi, am PG with 3rd and only just found Mumsnet!

thankyoupoppet · 11/07/2006 08:05

Looks like it wasn't meant to be for me this time, I woke at 3am with cramps and then an hour later a huge bleed. dh was very sweet and understood why I hadn't told him but he wished I had so we could go through it together. I feel very sad for our baby that didn't make it.
I hope you all have lovliest babies ever. I'll post in a couple of months to hopefully tell you we are expecting again.
bye x

themum · 11/07/2006 09:28

sending hugs to thankyoupoppet.

Booboobedoo · 11/07/2006 10:30

So sorry thankyoupoppet - awful for you. I hope you'll be back on the antenatal threads soon.

Welcome themum. Just checked your stats - congratulations!

MS was there to greet me as I woke this morning, but subsided more quickly today.

6 weeks today (hi coggy).
