ChaCha · 05/07/2006 20:04

Hi girls,

My mum's b'day is March 6th, anyone due then?

I have been told by doctor and this is only according to her wheel thingy that I'm due end of February, with February only having 28 days I really could have an EDD in March. Dating scan will prove all i hope.
DS was a week overdue, will pop in and out if that's okay.

Hope everyone's well I'm tired [yawn]very tired!

Hopecat · 06/07/2006 10:39

Hi ChaCha - I'm due March 7th (which is my Dad's birthday).

Had my first docs appt this morning. Just took my blood pressure and gave me a sample pot for next time I come in - lovely.

It's lucky I knew about form DW8, as he'd totally forgotten. I want my free prescriptions!

They've got a doppler-type machine at the surgery, and they said I could come in at about 8 weeks to hear the heartbeat. Hooray!

Hopecat · 06/07/2006 11:17

Thanks coggy

I hope it rubs off too. Keep picturing the beany...

Hi just popping in from the due Feb thread to say congrats to you all - looks like the hoping for a positive June thread was effective for loads of us!

Booboobedoo · 06/07/2006 13:36

Hi BD - hope your PG is going swimmingly.

Just to let you know, I've changed my name (was Hopecat).

Said I'd do it if I got PG.

charmednlb · 06/07/2006 14:01

hello everyone i have felt really werid yesterday and today i feel like ive woken up and its all been a dream and im not pregnant its so strange i went from going to the doctors and it feeling more real to thinking it was a dream dont like it very much hopefully ill wake up tomorrow and feel different!

Natty1806 · 06/07/2006 14:15

Hi Boo

I am going to change my name when i get pregnant too, just popped over to see how you were doing and how many others have joined you.

At least you are not on your own anymore.

Good news about the docs having a machine you can use at 8 weeks.

Take care

Booboobedoo · 06/07/2006 14:23

Hi Natty - nice to hear from you

Yeah, my local GP is great - very pregnancy and baby friendly.

Charmed - sorry to hear you're feeling weird. I'm in tears at least once a day. Just blame your homones.

Also I dreamed last night that DH was going off to sleep with another woman. When I confronted him about it he said 'well, that's what we said in the marriage vows', and when I went crying to other people they thought I was being stupid and it was perfectly fine for him to have affairs.

Was most reassured by DH snoring like a pig next to me when I woke up.

Booboobedoo · 07/07/2006 11:12

Got my nuchal scan appointment in the post this morning. Talk about speedy! It was for Tuesday 29th August, but I got them to move it forward to Friday 25th, as my Mum and Dad are having a party on the 27th and I want to tell people then.

Feel all sort of happy and nervous. I don't feel like anything's going to go wrong, but reading the stats isn't that comforting.

How's everyone else today?

Natty1806 · 07/07/2006 13:14

Try not to worry, hope it goes well for you and that was good you could move it by a few days.

Booboobedoo · 07/07/2006 19:21

Hi Natty - it's so nice you keep popping in

I'm really happy I've got my date. It's all seeming more real now.

mum2oliver · 08/07/2006 00:10

CONGRATULATIONS MUM2OLIVER & LEOGAELA!

It's so nice to have more people joining.

Mum2oliver - thrilled to hear your news. Had a good feeling about you this month. Get excited if you want - being worried isn't going to help anything!

Nice to meet you leogaela - look forward to getting to know you.

I think I'm still the only first-timer. Any more out there?

Just a stats reminder:

pinkranger-have had IBS for ladt week and yes teerrible stinky wind.My poor dp has been gassed almost to death everynight.
Everytime I turnover or even move in bed out one pops.Good job there are no candles burning in the room!!
Thought it was my diet as been eating loads last few weeks but had a BFP last night.
Glad Im a childminder at home as with ds1 I had to get emergency app at the docs due to severe stomach pains.I was so embarrassed when it was discovered that I was holding my farts at the desk in the office-well there is no way I could made the offic smell like my bedroom, they all would of walked out!

pinkranger · 09/07/2006 09:03

m2o, lol

My Dh was getting really stressed with me last night due to Wind

Booboobedoo · 09/07/2006 12:24

ROFL m2o.

I've had the right farts too. They don't want to stay in do they?

I'm 5+5 today, so my beany should have it's little arm-sprouts by now. Ahhhhh.

Went to my friend's 30th last night. I wasn't drinking, and no-one noticed until my friend (who knows I'm PG) bellowed out with her arm around me 'I'm drinking for two tonight'.

Hmmmm.

Booboobedoo · 09/07/2006 12:24

Ooh, and welcome and congratulations barefeete!

Booboobedoo · 09/07/2006 13:09

I've started a stats thread here if you want to post your details.

Jaysfirst · 09/07/2006 21:12

Anyone around?

mum2oliver · 09/07/2006 21:24

Hi there jays1st.
Do you know how many calories we are allowed?I put 3 stone on with ds1 and nnever got back to my pre-preg weight so cannot afford to eat how I did before!!!
Iv got no self discipline when it comes to food.Fr 2 days now Iv been so good.Iv still had huge portions but no rubbish and loads of fruit and veg.
When you due?

Jaysfirst · 09/07/2006 21:37

Hi mum,
During the first trimester, most women usually don't need to increase their usual daily intake of calories (i.e., 1,800 to 2,000 calories) unless they need to compensate for starting a pregnancy underweight.

During the second and third trimesters, you will need an extra 200 to 300 calories each day. But that doesn't mean feeling uncomfortably full: for example, just one piece of toast and a banana can supply those extra calories.

There are exceptions to the extra-calories rule: women who start out under- or overweight, women who are very physically active, and women with certain medical conditions should talk to their doctor about specific caloric needs.

Hope this helps!!

I yoo put on about three stone in my first pregnancy, managed to loose one of those but am going to be really good throughout this one!!!!

My stats

Me 35
DH 29
DD 6 mths
EDD 11 March
Cat 2 yrs

Mumsnet is the first 'person' - other than DH i have told!!!
