Jaysecond · 02/08/2006 20:15

goodness theres so many of us now i cant keep up! I feel bad if i dont mention everyone! Rest assured i hope that EVERYOE iss well and looking afterthemselves and our little beanies!

Very good luck Piffle, am sure that all will be just grand!
Profyaffle, welcome to you, i wonder how many there are of us now, i could add us all up but it seems to be too much hard work!
Charmed, course we remember... am sure that your lack of sickness is nothig to worry about, wish mine would leave me, cant see it happening just yet am only 8+3... but will be v glad when it does!
All those who are on about the waistline expanding, am soo with you, i had only just managed to lose 10 lbs from DD,and i feel like i have put it all back on in the past two weeks, how does that work especially when it took at least 8 weeks to get off????? Still my maternity clothes are still in good nick so i will just resort back to them.
RE scans etc, i will be 12 wks on the 27th Aug, the weekend we are due to move..... i had a scan date for the hospital down here, which is around the 27th but i had a call from the MF to say it might be better if i waited till i got to Nottingham... now i am not so sure as i will have to register , then book in then wait for scan date, byt then it might be nearer m 20 wk scan....do you think i should go for my 12 wks scan here then do the rest in Nottingham, or would it be better to have everything done in one place, think i might call the MF again tomorrow, she might not have known how close the scan date and move date were....

Sorry for such a long post, will try to keep it down next time

Just wanted to wish you all so much health and happiness for the rest of your pregnancies.

I got a pang when I saw March 07 because I was a MArch 06 and can't believe my beautiful baby girl is almost 6 months old already. I hope you all have as much joy as I have had.

morocco · 02/08/2006 21:04

hi ags - march is a nice time of year for a baby!

so sorry to hear your news ladybump - look after yourself.

welcome back charmednlb - glad everything is going well for you - I reckon it's really good news the ms stopping!! My queasiness is easing off too and I'm less knackered after lunch which is another plus.

hi profYaffle

good luck tomorrow piffle

good grief, it took me ages to read through the last lot of messages.
today I've been potty training ds2 - it was unexpected, he's 2.5 and I'd wanted to wait til he was nearer 3 for reasons of laziness but he came up and asked for the potty, did a wee, so I thought I'd give it a go, and what do you know . . . used it every time apart from once during lunch when he got a bit distracted by his dinner. I was stunned. ds1 was quite a bit more hassle. fingers crossed it keeps going that way.
This pregnancy is way different to the first two. I puked my guts out for the first 14 weeks for those, this time just felt a bit sick sometimes, no pukes so far. Also, it is weird, you know how I said I felt like 'squirming' (I know, probably wind!!) but I wonder if it is muscles tensing because yesterday and today I have definitely had 'braxton hicks' type tightenings. It is freaky, all my lower belly goes absolutely rock hard and sticks out more for a couple of minutes, then it softens again. I'm quite disturbed by it! I've started a list of qs for the mw and this is number one.
love to all

charmednlb · 02/08/2006 21:28

hope so not ben having a nap in the afternoon now as dh is off work so we have been going out getting really teird around now!!!!

glad its not as hot but could do with out the rain! just the cool air!!
being without the computer was a nightmare i hate it nevermind back for now

Piffle · 02/08/2006 21:33

WE do not get nuchals here either
But as dd has a rare genetic syndrome (no panic she is fine luckily) it can show up in nuchal so we have been advised to have one, I think we can get referred as we have pre existing condition that makes it essential?
Not sure
When do I see the midife and doc then to book this?
I was planning to give them a wide berth, maybe turn up at 26 weeks and beg for a homebirth

kittywits · 02/08/2006 21:59

Piffle, I'm not going to do any midwife bookings until I've had an early scan. can't be doing with it all only to have to "cancel".
I think the nucal fold is done at around 11- 12 weeks.
I had one done at that time once. Only because I fancied a change of hospitals for no.4 and they did them there as a matter of course!

kittywits · 02/08/2006 22:01

yeah, what I meant to say was go and get booked in if all is fine and then you can ask for one.
I've got such a jelly head

Booboobedoo · 02/08/2006 23:48

Hi everyone!

Am typing now as I feel my most human at this time of night.

Ladybump - horrible news. I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm thinking of you when my head's down the toilet (nice image), and trying to be grateful.

I haven't really gained any weight, as I can't keep much down. We've had to cancel our organic box scheme, as DH gets in too late to cook from scratch: and anyway all I want is chocolate nesquik and spaghetti hoops. I haven't eaten that sort of crap since I was a kid!

DollyP - I'm having mine at Kings! Let me know what you decide...

Coggy: I'm off to check out my thread. How exciting! You're so sweet.

And thanks for the message Trace. Was a bit worried about you. What happened with your poor doggy in the end? Was telling my DH about you and getting all tearful.

whippie · 03/08/2006 08:26

Hi everyone, looking for some advice. I"m 7+3 and since last night have had this paranoid feeling that something isn't right, can't describe it. No signs that anything wrong, just this feeling. Still feeling sick. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks x

kittywits · 03/08/2006 09:03

Hi Whippie, sorry you're feeling this way. There's probably nothing wrong atall, it's just that early pregnancy worry.
It's really difficult for everyone at the mo. We are all worried. When I have symptoms. sickness, tiredness etc. I feel ok about things, but when I don't have these symptoms I'm convinced there's a problem.
Last night I had a horrible dream that I'd lost the baby. When I woke up it took me a while to work out what was reality. On a conscious level I seem to be bearing up , but deep down it's a different matter.
Why don't you arrange for an early scan if you haven't done so already and that might put your mind at ease

leogaela · 03/08/2006 09:44

Ladybump !

Jay - Personally I would go for the scan where you are now at 12 weeks unless oyu can register and book something in Nottingham. 20 weeks is a long time to wait for a scan. but it also depends on how you would feel if somethign was wrong with the baby.

Morocco - I too am feeling much less sick this time than I did with DS. The whole preganancy feels different. I am really wondering if its because its a girl this time. could be the same for you!

Actually I had a really wierd dream last night. Not going into details. It has made me think we are having a girl !

kittywits · 03/08/2006 09:51

Do you know I have ALWAYS benn wrong when it comes to guessing the sex of my babies, every single time. So much for my motherly intuition. At the moment I'm sitting on the fence!

Jaysecond · 03/08/2006 09:54

Leogalea, thanks for your thoughts on that, am going to call the MW this morning

Piffle · 03/08/2006 10:12

I already told dp that I think it's a boy, I did guess right with both my others, this time dp has vetoed me from getting a sexing scan though I may yet outwit him after all he works away 5 days a week
Feeling that much closer to actualyl vomiting now, am feeling some ridiculous power struggle to prevent an actual barf.
Nearly lost it when I put mango chutney on my toast instead of marmalade
Preg head they call it?
I'm hosting a wee dinner part tonight, thai food, dp can cook as well, I think I must be mad... but its a good friend...
scan at 3.15 today must kepe myself mentally occupied...

kittywits · 03/08/2006 10:17

For some strange reason I really want to vomit the most during the night. I'm kept awake by the constant yucky feelings This is the sickiest preg I have ever had. Like you piffle I'm having a war of wills with my stomach. Good luck with the scan and keep us posted

Piffle · 03/08/2006 10:23

I'm piling on weight though and feel like such a slug. I lost over a stone with dd thru hyperemesis so avoiding that will be a bonus.
With ds I had only off bouts of mild nausea.
I know today I am going to get put back on dates, as I ovulate late, probably to 27 March not the 23rd, but hey who cares!

mia84 · 03/08/2006 11:42

Got my scan date! 8th which is next tuesday when i have the week off!
Im even more scared and nervous now that ive got a date! at least im off work though so if ive got to stay in hospital work dont have to know! i know thats a negative attitude but its the way i feel to be honest! Im so scared of going through all that nonsense again, people feeling sorry for me in the hospital when i wanted to get it over with! Not sure i could be so strong again!

sorry for whinging. hoping all is ok. And piffle GODD LUCK babe. will be waiting to hear from you!

Piffle · 03/08/2006 14:20

I'm leaving in a minute
My stomach is doing awful flip flops
Will update later
xxxxxxxxx

lucielu · 03/08/2006 14:56

good luck Piffle, holding my breath until later. Thinking of you.
Glad I'm not the only heffer on the block! I was beginning to think i was going mad! getting so porky so soon when babe is only the size of a bean!

themum · 03/08/2006 15:37

Whippie, paranoia is definitely a pregnancy side-effect. I find it can be much more accute, darker and appear more suddenly than my 'normal' paranoia! Weird dreams are also another weird side-effect.

Piffle · 03/08/2006 16:41

Good news!
Hooray measuring 6+4 dates put me at 6+6 so am not that far off!
Heart beat seen easily...
even got a little pic, freaky moment we thought it was twins but the other shape the radiogrpaher said was the yolk sac which the baby feeds off until the placenta takes over.
Am truly relieved and might relax now... maybe

trace2 · 03/08/2006 16:42

Piffle way hay so pleased! maybe you can relax a bit now

DollyP · 03/08/2006 17:11

Well done piffle, that's excellent news! Having a little tear for you now ....

XXXX

wheelybug · 03/08/2006 17:29

Great news piffle !

polo7571 · 03/08/2006 17:30

Hello all - hope I can join you. I'm a first timer 6+2 weeks due 26th March. Feel better that others have same symptoms as me - boobs growing and sore, tired and stomach growming madly - hadn't expected this until 4 or 5 months. Feeling pretty nervous particularly in this first 12 week period - but guess I'm not the only one there. I'm getting married in 4 weeks - what a time to be tea-tota! Think I'll have to squeeze in a couple of glasses of champers. Not got MS (yet) so feeling quite lucky, though I think you can still get this from about week 8 or nine so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed
