Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Kittywits, I am in ! There will be only 8-9 years between your youngest and your oldest children! I'm guessing that you are slightly insane !

Doing well today, ds has been such a sweetie. We went to dh's parents and dh managed to tell them, so that's almost his whole family know now (but not one of mine know)! Ds was entertained by his cousins for quite some time so I didn't have to follow him around the whole time checking he didn't destroy some lovely ornament or empty any cupboards! I just relaxed !

Nausea is still not too disturbing, just tired and energyless. And I really think my belly is starting to stick out!

Back to work tomorrow !

kittywits · 01/08/2006 19:02

That's very kind of you. I've a sneaking suspicion that I should have been certified a number of years ago although many would say that I live in a mad house anyway!

novadandypowder · 01/08/2006 19:06

leo - I've not told a single member of my family and only a few close friends. DH is telling everyone, against my wishes, but he's too over excited. I don't have the closest relationship with my family so that may be a contributing factor.

Headaches and feeling very vague too, although having a very unhealthy eating day which can't help. Finishing it off by getting chinese tonight as DH away until friday. Is it wrong to get take-away every night until he gets back - lol?

ladybump · 01/08/2006 19:19

time for me to bow out of this thread ladies. had more blood taken and was examined by doc who siad that my pregnancy wouldn't continue. will get my blood results tomorrow which he expects will have dipped and then have to go for a scan on fri to check the gestation sac has gone.
Feel so empty but wish all you ladies the very best of luck with your pregnancies and that they are all happy and healthy. will be keeping an eye on your progress and watching out for birth announcements next March! need a bit of time away now but i'll be back on an antenatal thread near you soon!!!

kittywits · 02/08/2006 08:51

Starting to feel really sick and crabby, which I guess is a good thing. Went to the loo last night and thought I was going to throw up. Maybe it's just a tummy bug as bowels are a bit dodgy too. Do you get dodgy bowel when preg? Can't remember. Any way how is everyone today?

bubblez · 02/08/2006 09:51

OH Wrighty so sorry to hear that... Thoughts are with you..xx

Piffle · 02/08/2006 10:39

kitty I think either extreme of bowels is normal
I have times where I feel fab and other times I feel like absolute shite.
I don't know which I prefer, feeling fine means I presume I'm not actually pregnant anymor and feeling ill makes me question why I wanted to be!!!!
I know it all pales into insignificance especially when thinking of Wrighty and Wheelybug and Trace Good luck in the future you lot

ProfYaffle · 02/08/2006 10:48

Ladybump - really sorry to hear your news, keep trying, you never know what the future holds.

KW - will find the stats thread and put mine on there.

Dixia - believe me, this scan was a long time coming! When I got there my bladder was so full they couldn't see anything which sent me into a panic but after a visit to the loo they did an internal scan and there was one wriggly baby complete with heartbeat - thank f*ck!

Piffle · 02/08/2006 18:11

Get my 6 wk early scan tomorrow
Am figuring due to the sickness and boob pain thing, not to mention the ever so not insignificant thickening of my waist that all is ok...
I cannot stop eating, dp is mocking me

lucielu · 02/08/2006 18:27

I've seen the midwife at last hooray! I thought they'd forgotten me, but she was on holiday. Had to book my nuchal scan privately as they don't provide them in my area. Is this the case with you lot too? I had my other 2 in London where nuchals are provided as matter of course. They combine it with a blood test now to give an even better risk assesment. All changed from when i had my last bunny in 2001! I thought I'd better had as I'm cracking on a bit now and the risk goes up loads with each year i was quite surprised how much when the midwife showed me. yet more stuff to frett about!
Hope you all coping at least the weather has broken. THANKGOD. I thought i was going to melt!
So having my nuchal the day before i go on holiday and the consultant phoning through the results when we're in Cornwall, just hope my reception is good on my mobile!
I'm busting out of my normal clothes already at 9 weeks!!!!!! Argh! Is anybody else the same or am I just going to be the biggest heffer on the block? I mean the babe must only be the size of a bean where did all this excess blubber decide to pop up from?

ProfYaffle · 02/08/2006 18:40

Lucie - we have to pay for nuchal scans here too, they don't combine them with blood tests either. We've decided to stick with the standard triple test.

I'm 9 weeks as well and my boobs have grown 2"! I'm also straining in my normal clothes and have been up in the attic digging out my drawstring trousers from last time.

novadandypowder · 02/08/2006 19:07

I'm with you on bulging waistline too, took myself off to TopShop for a bit of a splurge on their maternity range today. Sickness is kicking in with a vengence, to which my DH said 'oh good, I mean that's bad, but good isn't it?' Yes darling.

Interviewing a P-T nanny tomorrow as really need some help looking after dd, esp. if the sickness carries on like last time. We want someone 3 days a week, as must confess I'm not being the most playful mummy at the mo.

trace2 · 02/08/2006 19:10

Piffle good luck tomorrow for scan

charmednlb · 02/08/2006 19:19

hello everyone not sure if anyone will remember me have not posted for a long time as internet was down i am 9+3 and my sickness has gone not had any for about 3-4 days hope that dont mean anything bad.
hope everyone is ok

DollyP · 02/08/2006 19:26

Fingers crossed for tomorrow piffle

I too am becoming the size of a house. Lucie, do not fret - you will not be the only heifer on the block . It is only food which keeps me from feeling like pants. I am eating for Britain. Only bland stuff, but it's still all going in. And on. Jeans are tight tight tight. Also my bowels (TMI alert) have been a bit more active than I'd like - must be all the food.

No work for me now til 29th August. We may be moving house at the ned of the month, so fingers crossed. DD gets a very dull diet (nothing which smells) and a very dull mummy at the moment. I think she is glad to be at nursery 2 days a week!

Nuchals here are part and parcel of the routine care. I haven't decided yet on Kings or St Thomas's - had DD at Tommy's and will probably go back there as the maternity wing is very modern and my consultant was great. Dr's appointment not til next week though. Last time I saw her she told me I hadn't ovulated so she'll have a bit of a shock now!!

Stay well girls - off to buy some preggie pops now.
