Hi all - hard to keep on top of this thread.

Kitty, my birthday is 22nd dec too! Don't worry its, a crap birthday, but its still a birthday and at least its not christmas day. It doesn't do lasting damage.

Feeling quite a bit more normal, but missed one of my anti-sickness pills the other day and suffered for 24 hours for it! Booboobedoo, you should get your gp to change the drugs you are on. Last time I had suppositries (sp?) because I couldn't keep the oral pills down, they weren't that comfortable, but at least I couldn't throw them up. With the oral pills this time, I have found that I only really have to keep them down for about 30 minutes (empty tummy) before they start to do their job. I didn't realise last time, but there are quite a few different drugs you can try and if one doesn't work for you, get something else - it can make all the difference.

Our car with air-con is in the garage, and we had to go down to Marbella today for a meeting with the bank (got a mortgage - hoorah!), we got stuck in crawling traffic for over an hour so the trip took over 2 hours. Its pretty hot here. Glad I'm not throwing up, or couldn't have coped at all.

Sorry to hear about your weekend Ladybump, thinking about you

Piffle · 31/07/2006 16:20

Popping in to say hi.
I have the full on grim nausea now.
Have my sea bands which have helped, preggie pops help for a little while
I am eating for Europe, with dd I couldn't eat, so this at least is better news!
I think I might be the size of a zeppelin before too long though
Tiredness getting a lot more noticeable esp in late afternoon. DD has been an angel heart and let me rest when I need to.

now only the tv ultrasound scan on Thursday to panic about...

dixia · 31/07/2006 18:27

Sorry to hear you are poorly piffle. At least you are eating, that will keep you hydrated anyway.

kittywits · 31/07/2006 18:29

Wish I had nausea. Feel somwhat icky sometimes but not sick, not v hungry either, umm, not good signs really

kittywits · 31/07/2006 18:34

Also, phoned Dr today and said I would like a scan done after 8 weeks. It was tempting to ask for an earlier one but I know that 8 weeks is a crucial time and if it's alive after that it stands a fighting chance. I've had ones leave between 6-8 weeks. Sorry I'm being a right miserable old cow. I guess the waiting's affecting more than I thought, sorry.

novadandypowder · 31/07/2006 19:35

kitty, hang in there honey. Not feeling hungry is a sign . Will you get your 8wk scan?

kittywits · 31/07/2006 19:37

Thanks Nova, I'll have to wait for an appoinment. I'm on hols next week so hopefully I'll have one through when I return. How are you at the mo?

DollyP · 31/07/2006 19:41

Kitty, sorry you are stressed. I think not being hungry is a sign as well as general ickiness. With DD, for a while i felt not right - couldn't put a finger on it, but just generally indigested and a bit weird. Keeping fingers crossed for you honey. Chin up XXXX

Piffle, I am joining you in the nausea club. Felt grim all day and not really helped by anything apart from sleep. Alas DD at home tomorrow so may catch a bit when she has hers but not going to be able to loll around all day. Are the preggie pops helping at all? And should I splash out on the morning well CD? It's not on Ebay at the moment so will have to be the full on £18.99 job. Do you think it is worth it?

Bit cooler here today. Long may it continue. Take care ladies and speaky soon XXX

novadandypowder · 31/07/2006 20:21

Dolly, it's hard to say with the preggie pops as I'm doing so much to try and prevent sickness, I'm not sure if they're the reason I've not been sick yet. I tend to suck one in the morning when I'm getting dd's breakfast ready, as the morning was when it hit me last time. At the moment I'm eating a nutri-grain bar first thing before I get up (5.30am!!), then a preggie pop, then cereal, then toast, and then I just keep eating every two hours. At this rate if the sickness doesn't kick in I'll be the size of a house!!

Kitty, I'm feeling optimistic at the moment, feel a little rough in the mornings but that may be to do with dd's anti-social hours. For me, every sick free day from now on is a blessing. I just have a really crushing tiredness that leaves me ready to drop by the time dd goes to bed, then pg insomnia kicks in and I can never stay asleep when I go to bed.

Have to go to a wedding of a uni friend on friday, and I feel a bit strange about telling them all before I have the 8wk scan, but they will guess in seconds. My waxing therapist guessed on saturday - I must be oozing pg vibes or something.

morocco · 31/07/2006 20:45

hi whippie
sorry to hear you're having such a stressful time ladybump, thinking of you and friday's scan
omg laegoala!!!! don't tell me I could be making the bump look worse with pilates - it was my only hope!! actually, I've been dead lazy since I did the test and haven't done any sit ups for weeks so I should be safe.
ok, now I know my dates are not totally accurate, one reason why I can't wait for the scan to know how far gone I am, but I swear I'm starting to feel some 'flutterings', especially when I've been leaning over a bit , like now at the computer. Is that a bit early or have some of you been feeling that or is it actually just indigestion?? I do have quite a vivid imagination.

kittywits · 31/07/2006 21:00

How many weeks are you Morocco? The earliest I've ever felt movement is 15 weeks. Before that the fetus' movements are supposed to be too weak to register on the nerves in the uterus. Maybe you've got a super sensitive uterus or are further along than you thought

Piffle · 01/08/2006 10:40

I am following novas routine and eating regularly.
Would rather put on weight than puke morning noon and night!
The sea bands are helping me. The morningwell cd is nice and distracting I guess.
preggie pops are good for 45 minutes of nausea free time.
I eat bowl of cereal in bed cup of tea and then come down for toast.
But it is still early days, no way am I taking it for granted that it will stay manageable...

Jaysecond · 01/08/2006 11:08

lol you ust cant take your eye of this thread for two mins can you, its crazy!

Seems like most of us are in the same boat re nausea, little and often is working best for me, i havnt managed to get hold of any of the aids you all seem to have, every time i think i should i dont feel too bad and then i forget.... i am coming up to 9 weeks, cant go on for much longer now ......can it!!!???

Kittiwits, DD is also thinking about crawling, shes been rocking now for about a week, each day getting stronger and stronger, then yesterday she was sitting on my lap ( we were on the floor) she reached out her hands grabbed hold of her activity /centre/bouncer/walker tpe thing and pulled herself right up.....i was flabbergasted!
Shes also doig really well with the spoon feeding, but point blank refuses to drik out of anything ut her bottle, have tried with four/five diff beakers, even the 'sipping' cups, but no, i think she loves her bottle just tooooo much!

Wow morroco... movements already!!! mind yoou i have to say i thought i did the other day, but i think its just my imagination taking over. wishful thinking on my part i reckon!!

Much cooler here today, which is a relief, the hot weather does nothing for the lethary i have at the mo, going for lunch today then visiting a friend this afternoon, god its the most i have done in the past cpl of weeks, i am going to be knackered!

Wishing everyoe a great Tuesday

mia84 · 01/08/2006 11:37

Heya girlies! how is everyone?

I felt aawfully sick last night, and this morning. I'm thinking its a good sign?? Well i hope so anyway. I havent been sick once though
Having quite a few headaches lately. not too bad, just annoying.

still no scan appointment!! im not a happy bunny!

Jays how old is your dd??

Ive got a 2 year old brother! hes 20 years younger than me, and absolutely beautiful! And so intelligent. he knows all his colours and shapes and can count to 20! but im probably biased!

ladybump · 01/08/2006 12:11

hi all!
had more blood today so rung epu and they siad they'd take more blod today and i'll get results tomorrow which may put me out of my misery. had a brain wave last night that my slow rising hcg may have gone up after fri significantly then dropped as beanie bailed out, so on sunday it was on way down but was still higher than friday! the epu siad this was strong possibility considering blood and pain and these bloods today would show drop further if that was the case. will keep you informed!

Beccy1974 · 01/08/2006 12:26

wrighty - if it's bad tormenting ourselves with theories on how the body works at conception, it must be a million times harder not to do it when you're going through what you are.. try not to think about the levels. i guess on the brightside they're checking your blood out again sooner.

We're all here for you.

novadandypowder · 01/08/2006 16:01

Ladybump - it'd be the not knowing that would drive me crazy, your mind plays all sorts of tricks, playing out every scenario posible and impossible! I hope you get some answers soon

Piffle - snap! This time I'd rather put on weight then vomit my stomach lining up every morning, lol!

Jay - my lo has no intention of standing or crawling yet and she's coming up to 10 months. She's been rocking on her hands and knees for weeks and still nothing. At least I don't have to chase her around the very unchildproofed house yet.

Wimped out of afternoon job early today as no-one was in the office to notice if I was there or not. Have a headache and need sleep...

novadandypowder · 01/08/2006 16:09

oh, and I'm very excited to see a due in April thread

kittywits · 01/08/2006 16:45

I'm getting loads of headache and feel very 'vague' anyone else?

ProfYaffle · 01/08/2006 16:56

Hi - can I join you lot please? Got my bfp ages ago but last time I miscarried about 2 days after joining an ante-natal thread so I didn't want to temp fate this time round. Just been for my scan this morning, 9wks 4 days although I think I'm later than that and they couldn't get a good view of the baby to measure it properly.

But one baby with a heartbeat - Wayhey!!

ProfYaffle · 01/08/2006 16:57

btw - yes KW, I've been feeling a vague and just generally 'odd', out of sorts kind of thing.

dixia · 01/08/2006 17:04

Afternoon ladies. Had a pooey day! We had to schlep into town to open a new bank account, couldnt find the required bank, then they wouldn't open it and said we needed another bit of paper. we have had a bank account here for 6 years, but with the mortgage payments, we are required to have a new one in a different (horrible) bank. Anyway, we walked around Malaga in 43 degree heat for a few hours, waiting in two different banks, and being shouted at by nasty spanish bankers. I am still exhausted and only just recovering from the stress. Its sooooo hot here. I'm going on holiday in 2 weeks...to the UK! I can't wait!

dixia · 01/08/2006 17:06

Sorry ProfYaffle, crossposted.

Congrats and welcome to the thread. You will be the envy of us all, having had a scan . Lots of the girls seem desperate! Good to have you on board.

kittywits · 01/08/2006 17:17

Hi Py did you put your details on the stats thread?

kittywits · 01/08/2006 17:20

Also I wondered whether the number of gals we have on the March thread is quite big. Does anyone know? I've not looked at the other ante natal threads.
