Sorry to hear about your news wheelybug all the best for the future... good luck..xxx

ladybump · 30/07/2006 20:37

It's lovely to read all of your happy stories, keeps me positive. I know it's easy for me to say but try and keep MS in perspective. I'd do anything to have it now. It's short term and shows your baby is fine and your hormones are very strong! With a bit of luck you'll all be reminding me of this in a couple of weeks when i'm can't keep anything down.. xx

flannelettepyjamas · 30/07/2006 23:34

Good luck Ladybump - I guess you get your news today.
Everything crossed for you.

ladybump · 31/07/2006 07:37

havent slept a wink. did another pg test this morning as always and sure line is fainter but then it was my second wee but not sure that should matter now, plus dr said can take a while for hcg to come out of my system.
The waiting is tremendous my poor dh doesn't know what to do.My eyes are so tired. If anyone sees wheelybug will you send her in my direction, wouldn't mind talking to her as she went through a similar thing.
thanks

mia84 · 31/07/2006 09:22

Im so sorry girls! Dont really know what else to say except its sooo horrible when it happens to you!

According to my midwife im about 9+6. Today i feel REALLY sick. havent been sick though, just feel queasy as hell. is it normal to feel like this at this stage????
I still havent had a bloody scan appointment!

DollyP · 31/07/2006 09:29

Ladybump, keeeping fingers crossed, will be here on and off all day as no work and DD at nursery! Take care honey.

Mia, I think it is entirely normal to feel very sick without being sick. When I was pg with DD, I felt sick from about 6 1/2 weeks and only actually threw up about 5 times. Rest of time was dry heaving, feeling like I was about to be sick or just having waves of nausea wash over me. Very unpleasant. it passed at about 14 weeks, though, and many women feel much better at 12 weeks so fingers crossed. is this your first - sorry can't remember much at the moment.

Talk later ladies - hugs to you all XX

mia84 · 31/07/2006 09:33

Hi dollyp. Yes its my first! Hopefully!
I just thought it strange to feel most sick at this stage. i thought it would get better!

Hope everyone is well!! And not too sick!

wheelybug · 31/07/2006 09:37

Hi Ladybump - sorry you're going through this but will keep my fingers crossed for you.... Shall I start a new thread somewhere and you can ask me whatever you want - you're welcome to CAT me but I just thought if there was a thread others might be able to add things in - there were a lot of v. helpful and caring people around for me last week ?

Thanks for your thoughts trace2. How you bearing up ?

First day on my own today (with dd) as dh had to go back to work and we kind of wanted to start trying to be normal again. We went out with friends yesterday who we had told what was happening so beginning to feel better.

Good luck with the MS Boo - sounds awful but try and remember its a good sign !! (that's not written in a bitter way I promise !). Love to everyone else !

ladybump · 31/07/2006 10:16

hi wheelybug!
i'm gonna ring up for results in an hour or so but it'd be good to start a new thred. don't wanna depress all these lovely mummies to be!!!

wheelybug · 31/07/2006 10:26

thread here

coggy · 31/07/2006 11:08

(Quick hijack again)

Hurrah to see you back Booboo....we were all beginning to really worry about you.

You've got your own personal thread here on ante-natal....you can read it sometime when you don't feel so sickly.

Just goes to show how much people on here think of you.

(Thank you - I've finished now.....!!)

novadandypowder · 31/07/2006 11:27

Hi everyone, it's always so sad to come on here and read about losses . I'm keeping my fingers (and legs!) extra crossed now.

Feeling like a big pile of poo, but still hopeful that I won't get hit as badly by MS as last time. I'm forcing myself to eat constantly and that seems to be keeping it at bay so far. One week and counting until my scan - hoorah.

Kittywits - it does feel like all I'm do is waiting. According to DH I'm also being over-sensitive (well, duh, I'm tired and pg!).

Very annoyed to report that I'm wasting another whole day waiting for British Gas as this time we have no hot water. I was supposed to be meeting friends for lunch and had already decided what I was going to have from the menu, so a poxy sarnie just isn't going to cut it now.

ladybump · 31/07/2006 11:30

hi all

hospital said blood on friday was 2351 mUi/ml HCG and 2811 Mui/ml on Sunday. Not progressing nearly quickly enough so have to wait until friday for a scan. Can't believe i'm gonna have to go through this until monday. anyone else experienced slow progressing hcg levels at this early stage?

kittywits · 31/07/2006 11:52

ladybump, I've had six mc. It's something that (for most people) just happens. I'm waiting now for it to go wrong again. I used to drive myself half crazy worrying and worrying, really to the point where I was too tired to care anymore. With this preg I am a little anxious and would really like to know one way or another, not least because if it IS a dud then I can start drinking again! My Dp was rather hoping that if things were to go wrong then they would have by now. I had to explain that it doesn't wotk like that, I've had them from 5- 11 weeks. The worst kind of miscarriages for me were the ones where I just didn't bleed. I had found out by scan that it was a non starter, but the thing wouldn't come out. As distressing as it is, the best way for you and your body is if it can be expelled quickly without the need for operations. Anyway saying all that you might be ok!! Sending you hugs xx

leogaela · 31/07/2006 12:27

I'm never going ot keep up with htis....

Doing OK here, just feeling tired of course! no sickness but if I think of eating I feel sick. i don't have an appetite for anything, but if I force myself to eat I feel better. We had a week of work last week, back to work on Wednesday which I am not looking forward to!
Oh well!

I think I am 8 weeks tomorrow. In Switzerland we do things a bit different. I go to my personal gynae/obst and he can scan me there. Last time he scanned me at 5 weeks which was amazing. this time I feel much calmer and less impatient. I already had an appointment booked for a couple of weeks to have a smear test so will wait until then for my scan.

Who was it that said something about twins - OMG! I am terrified of having twins!

Ladybump - really sorry you are going through this difficult time I hope everything is OK.

Morocco - if you are doing some of the pilates exercises wrong you could be encouraging your stomach to bulge out. Sit ups and things like pilates 100s can cause or increase Diastasis (?) - separation of the abdominal muscles. So is the theory of Julie Tupler. Have a look for her books. She does one on 'maternal fitness' for pregnanacy and one 'get rid of your mummy tummy'. I got the books but haven't really got into the excercises though.

Kittywits, how old are your other 5 children?

And hello to everyone else, sorry for those of you suffering really bad morning sickness.

kittywits · 31/07/2006 12:37

Hi leo my other 5 range from nearly 8 to just 7 months!

Jaysecond · 31/07/2006 13:56

hi all, just a quickie to say, ladybump, am still wishing for some positivity for you, and offering support whatever way things may go.

Nova, i a the same as you re the sickness thing, i feel constantly sick and queasy, and when i thik about food i gag, but if i do eat something, if only a piee of toast i kinda feel a bit better, the sickie feeling dies down for a bit but then comes back...

Am so incredibly tired also, like many others, all i want to do is nothing!

Kittywits, your 7month old, when was/is her bday? my DD is 7 mths on 3 Aug,i cant believe where the time gone, its totally flown by!

DollyP · 31/07/2006 14:13

Ladybump, I am so sorry that you didn't get more conclusive news this morning. Thinking of you XXX

kittywits · 31/07/2006 14:34

Hi jay my 7 month old will be one on Dec 22nd. Bad timing that. Actually she was due on the 5th but wouldn't come out! She's trying to crawl at the mo but keeps getting one leg stuck and then falls flat on her face. She's also refusing to be spoon fed. How about yours? Is she moving yet
