Hi again all. Welcome flannelettepyjamas (how do you spell it?). Nice to have you here .

wheelybug, take it nice and easy, it may just be a warning to put your feet up. I hope that it is. I'm thinking of you. Can you go for a scan?

I'm feeling a bit better. I bit the bullet and got out of bed to see the doctor yesterday. He gave me anti-sickness drugs which are working really well. I've not been sick for nearly 24 hours, wheras was sick more than 15 times in the previous 24. Am still bedridden, due to the fact I've not eaten anything really in 4 days, and very little for the week before that. But dp has gone out to get some soft fruits for a smoothie, so I hope to have that later. The doctor also gave me a good home recipie for fluid to stop you dehydrating (which is great if you can keep it down).

I'll write it here, in case anyone else gets into the same boat:
1 litre of water,
the juice of 2 lemons
2 tablespoons sugar,
1 pinch salt
1 pinch barcarbonate of soda.

Ok, back to bed to await the return of dp.

Poor you wheelybug, How are you feeling in youself?

1973magpie · 26/07/2006 13:05

Wheelybug, sorry to hear that, hope you can put your feet up and relax (as much as possible in the circumstances) until Friday, take care of youself .

Dixia, glad to hear that doc has given you some anti-sickness drugs and that you are feeling a bit better now.

MS kicked in big style for me this morning, am gutted as I thought that I was going to escape it this time I am off work today as I couldn't be vertical this am without being sick - my face today! I am hoping that this just a passing phase as I feel absolutely awful...

Hardie1 · 26/07/2006 15:13

Hi I am new to this internet talk/chat! I am 7.5 weeks pregnant and have had light bleeding/spotting throughout the pregnancy. I had an early scan at 6 weeks but all that was visible was a black gestational sac, no heart beat visible. I am going back next Thursday for another one to check on baby's heart beat etc. I think my spotting is related to the exercise I've been doing - I did squats on Monday and had bleeding in the afternoon - so the doctor has told me to stop exercise until I have my scan.

When are you all due?

novadandypowder · 26/07/2006 19:33

wow, it's been quiet this afternoon.

Hardie, our stats are here

Very today, waited in all day for the gas engineer to show up and he never came grrrr...

generaldogsbody1 · 26/07/2006 20:41

dixia · 26/07/2006 20:50

Welcome Hardie1, nice to have you here

wright4845 · 26/07/2006 21:45

v scared posting on here. it's like it's really happening now and so worried someting will go wrong. I'm 27 Dh is 30 and this is our first pregnancy. Been on cepception threads and got bfp on monday confirmed by doc on tues. only recently off pill and had v erratic cycles. 1st day of last af 20th may! had bfn on july 5 th but other than that don't really know when my edd is. I'm excited but feel very vulnerable!!! Not had any sickness just sore boobs and aching back and stomach. this sound familiar anyone?

morocco · 26/07/2006 23:23

hi everyone
you guys chat!! sorry to be away so long, we've been moving house and I'm knackered, we did it all ourselves, no nice strong removals men to carry boxes, seemed a good idea at the time but I was so washed out afterwards I hardly moved from the sofa for the rest of the week.
hello to all newbies
hope you are doing ok wheelybug, it's horrible playing the waiting game til the scan. I had a lot of bleeding with ds2 and thought my nerves would never recover but he was fine in the end. Praying for all to be fine for your little beanie too.
hope you are doing a bit better dixia, and your dh is being more sympathetic.
I swear I look about 5 months gone already, and I've been doing pilates for months now! Why have my stomach muscles deserted me??
I told dh last week, well he guessed really, and after being well p*ed off, he;s putting a brave face on it and rubbing my tummy which is cute. It doesn't seem remotely real though. I dont feel ready

kittywits · 27/07/2006 09:01

Hi everyone.
Wheelybug, any more news?

Jaysecond · 27/07/2006 10:42

Morning all, welcome Hardie and Wright, wb Mororoco, long time no see! Wright, you will worry a bit, its normal to, everyone is going through it at the mo all you can do is TRY not to, all your symptons sound normal, and what most people are reporting, be thankful you have no MS! Hardie.....SQUATS...... the earest i get to squats isbendig to pick up my DD, take it easy though, you dont want to overdo anything! good luck with your next scan.
Wheely, fingers crossed for your scan also, let us know how it goes babe.
LOL piffle re your boobs finally realisng your pregnant! its like someone just remembered to tell them! I remember last time i couldnt even look at mine without there being some pain involved, this time though, nothing, strange isnt it!
BOOO... where are you?
So how is eveyone today, its a lot cooler here today than yesterday, we have a bit of a breeze going on. Had an electrical storm last night i think that helped to clear the air! The heat does nothing for MS , totally wipes me out.
I am now 7 +4 so coming up to the 8 week mark, did you know that by week 8 the risk of MC is significantly less and 97% of preg woman with a fetal heartbeat at 8 weeks can expect the pregnancy to continue positively. Now i am not saying that there couldnt be other complications, but this has to be GOOD news!!!!! I reckon theres a fair few people that are approaching this mark...hope no-one minded me spouting that fact i dont want to offend anyone!
Right off to dig out swimming cozzie , taking DD swimming in a bit, should be good!

Piffle · 27/07/2006 11:27

Was up all night with the bloody thunder and lightening storm last night from 1am to 4am!
So am truly shattered, and this mornign, full on nausea, calmed with food, but can def see teh link with tiredness.
Have had insomnia for almost two weeks now, driving me nuts
Also have head cold and sore throat
Welcome Wrighty, I was like you two weeks ago, too scared to hope, I still am but a little betetr with more symptoms slowly edging up on me
Welcome back morocco
Wheely hows the bleeding are you ok?
Love to Boo whereever she may be

Jaysecond · 27/07/2006 11:53

hey piffle , where abouts are you, i reckon we had the same storm!

Piffle · 27/07/2006 12:16

lincolsnhire jayssecond

Jaysecond · 27/07/2006 12:32

different storm........ lol i am in surrey!

dixia · 27/07/2006 12:58

Welcome Wright, nice to have you with us .

Yes thanks Piffle, the drugs are still working! Still haven't been sick - that's 48 hours now . I'm very happy. I even got up to eat a kiwi around 9am, which I think could be considered to be breakfast, and I had a slice of toast for lunch, so I'm feeling very proud of myself. I've been up more than down today!

Morocco, DP is being wonderful. I think the stressed outburst was a one-off, at least, I've not seen any more so he's keeping them well hidden!

Just a quick word about anti-sickness drugs. These ones are different from the ones I had last time. Last time I had suppositaries which were horrible and made me all sticky and yucky. This time I got in early enough with orals, and all I had to do was keep the first one down for about half an hour, and since then its been much better. Really just wanted to say that anyone who gets HG or bad sickness should try a second type of anti-sickness pill if the first doesn't work.

Got period type pains today. Haven't had any for about 3 weeks. Is this normal? I'm 7 weeks today.

kittywits · 27/07/2006 13:10

Whenever I stand up, from whatever position my legs go tingly and shakey and then I feel dizzy. I've not had this before. Is this normal part of pregnancy? Anyone else got this? Any cures, apart from getting up slowly?!

Piffle · 27/07/2006 13:33

could be low blood pressure....
Dixia what drugs are you on
I need to take notes.
I refused them last time, as I was not working and had no child in the daytime to lok after (ds was 9 and very self sufficiaent) and dp was able to work from home so I was able to just sleep my way through it

this time no way can I do that

wheelybug · 27/07/2006 13:50

thanks for thinking of me all, here's my update from my other thread. Sorry for the C&P

Pain was worse over night but had tailed off now with clots being passed and possibly more (although not entirely sure what I am looking for).

I phoned the epu this morning and my description obviously made them think the worst and they said there wasn't much point coming in today and to go in tomorrow when I should have passed everything.

Pretty sad although I think I felt worse yesterday when I realised hope was probably fading. I think I have begun to accept the inevitable now. Poor DH was, for about the first time ever, remaining optimistic but I had to spell it out to him that I think it really is over for this one.

Will let you know for sure tomorrow after the scan.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and that I am the final casualty from this thread !

LaidbackinAsia · 27/07/2006 14:21

Really sorry to hear how things have been wheely. Hope you are not too uncomfortable and that you cope OK over the next 24 hours. Thinking of you and your DH.

kittywits · 27/07/2006 14:25

So sad for you wheely. Been there many times. Keep youself well and keep us posted, XXXXXX

DollyP · 27/07/2006 14:47

Really sorry to hear this wheely, sending you love and peace xxxx

ladybump · 27/07/2006 15:11

hi this is wright under a new name! got bored of my old one!

dixia · 27/07/2006 15:46

Sorry for you wheely. I hope you are back on another thread soon, and that you remain positive in the near future.

Thinking of you.

Piffle, the drugs are called "Cariban" registered name - but bear in mind that I am getting them in Spain. Chemical name (in English) is Doxylamine succinate/ Pyridoxine hidrochloride. Does that help. They are plastic (turquoise) capsules over here.

Still feel good, even did some cooking this afternoon
