I did swallow a bit sips but I'm being good now
Brisbane is lovely at this time of year - sunny and warm ( but not as hot as you guys).
I am English and have lived here since 2002 with my Aussie DH.

flannelettepyjamas · 25/07/2006 11:23

I'm a Kiwi in the UK Flannel - welcome and congrats!
Wow tiredness today and yesterday like BAM
If I can keep on top of it perhaps the sickness can be avoided - I'm clinging on to every hope.
So far so good...

wheelybug · 25/07/2006 15:55

Hi guys and welcome flannlettepyjamas

Am a bit worried now.... had a really bad headache all day again today so slept whilst dd was asleep and woke up, went to the loo and had some brown discharge... No pain yet. Guess I will just have to wait and see what happens ...

mia84 · 25/07/2006 16:08

Wheelybug, i had some light brown discgarge on fri and i was worried to death. Had nothing since though, and still feel sick so im TRYING not to worry. Afterwards i thought i may have been silly, as it was very light brown, practically like a dark creamy. Im sure its nothing. Have you rang your GP?
I'm waiting for my scan appointment - i hope its soon so i know either way!
Was even thinking of faking a bleed and going to A*E. is that naughty?

coggy · 25/07/2006 16:13

Do any of you know where BobbBoo is?

coggy · 25/07/2006 16:14

Ooops I mean BooBoo....

1973magpie · 25/07/2006 16:18

No coggy, I was wondering how she is too. Last time she posted was on Thursday saying that her MS was epic, and that she would post again later, but hasn't as yet. Hope she is ok.

Piffle · 25/07/2006 20:23

kikidee · 25/07/2006 21:20

Evening to everyone. I have been so tired today I could have cried. I feel asleep in DS' room putting him to bed at 7.30 and just woke up at 9.00pm to an empty house as dh has gone to play football. I felt very disorientated. Just tucking into some creamed rice which was what I fancied this afternoon while dragging myself round the supermarket. Back to work tomorrow for my 3 days, not sure how I'll manage after today.

kittywits · 26/07/2006 08:10

Good morning everyone. It's the start of the dreaded school hols here. 6 weeks of children when all I want to do is sleep!
Still no sickness for me, I just look very rounded in the middle. Wish more symptoms would arrive. I don't know whether to book an early scan or not. How is everyone else doing? Anyone had any early scans yet?

mia84 · 26/07/2006 08:36

I wish i had 6 weeks holidays!!

I'm also feeling very round though im only about 8 weeks!! its probably all the water im drinking. How soon did you all show with your first?? And is a hard bloated belly ok??

kittywits · 26/07/2006 08:55

Hi again mia! Yep , hard, bloated belly is completely normal. Not sure when I showed with my ist. Actually I don't think it became really obvious until I was about 4-5 months as I had nice tight stomach muscles. I reckon I'm poking out now ' cos I haven't got any muscles left! .
I used the term holidays in the loosest of terms. Umm.... 5 kids to entertain from 6.30 in the morning 'till 8.30 at night and now not being able to take refuge in a few ice cold lagers

mia84 · 26/07/2006 08:58

Oh Bless. You must be superwoman!
I've got the day off tomorrow coz my new settees are arriving!! yay!! and gota take my grandfather to the hospital for an appointment, and then we are going to the royal welsh show!! mad day!
And my new fridge is coming on friday! woohoo!!

Ive always had a bit of podge on my belly

novadandypowder · 26/07/2006 08:59

With my first I didn't show until 20-ish weeks, but I have a very rounded belly already with this one, and I thought my tummy muscles had recovered (mental note to self - must exercise more after this one)

As for early scans, I have one booked for mon 7th when I should be around 8wks. I can't wait and am ticking off the days.

On a lovely day like today I have to wait in for the gas man - boo. Any time between 8 and 6 they said, and the worst thing is the work they have to do is in the nursery, so won't be able to put dd in there for her long nap after lunch if they're not here by then. Cue one hot tired grouchy baby.

stretchmarks · 26/07/2006 09:03

Morning everyone.

Hope you are all well. I think I am turning into a nutter - not sure if it's pregnancy or the heat. Spent the weekend in tears hormones have gone on a rampage - feeling sick this morning and am about to go off to work!! Yet I'm still worrying that I don't feel pregnant !!! Have my booking in appointment with Midwife on Thursday. I hate these first weeks, can't wait for my scan has anyone got thier scan dates yet ?

stretchmarks · 26/07/2006 09:07

Nova - had forgotten your post as was writing mine - so not long till your scan. We've moved house since DS and I don't know any of the hospitals around here - how does everyone chose where they go ? With DS I just chose the nearest as when I fell pregnant DH couldn't drive he did pass within the 9 months though so managed to get me there !!!

kittywits · 26/07/2006 09:44

I had my last one at home. I really recommend it.
The ist two were sections, the second two normal births in hospital, different hospitals though as I fancied ringing the changes! Then with dd3 I thought " why am I going to hospital when I could be nice and cosy at home?"
I tell you there's nothing better than having a good birth, then having a lovely bath in your OWN bathroom, climbing in to your own COMFY bed and having a NICE cuppa in your own fav mug. The nice thing as well was that visitors didn't stay for hours and tire ne out, they could pop in and out for shorter times, but more frequently which was great!

Piffle · 26/07/2006 10:44

I am begging for a home birth this time
I had two very easy quick labours with my 2 kidsI was lined up for a home birth last time but they invented obstetric cholestasis and refused me
I never had it, it was bloody ringworm from the kitten we had.
I am even thinking about an independent midwife if the local ones seem anti it(not sure yet as to how we would actually pay for this £2k outlay but...)
I'm feeling fine today, another I am sure I'm not really pregnant day...

kittywits · 26/07/2006 11:09

Those are crap days aren't they piffle?

mia84 · 26/07/2006 11:14

Oh piffle ive had loads of days like that in the last week when is your scan?? I'm still waiting for my date! ive only known for a week that im prg, but it seems like ive been worrying forever!!

Piffle · 26/07/2006 11:17

meant to be next week but nothing in the post yet.

wheelybug · 26/07/2006 11:44

Hi All

Don't know if you all saw my post yesterday that I had some bleeding - it got a bit worse, redder but still not heavy. NOthng overnight although no sleep either. A little bit more this morning. Been to gp and booked for a scan on friday. They said there isn't any point doing anything sooner as they wouldn't see a heart beat yet.

feeling v. emotional now !
