Congratulations DollyP!

I have been very conscious of my big tummy today - surely I can't be showing at almost 6 weeks? Feel pretty well generally although DH called me a pregnant lunatic tonight, so I suppose I must still be a bit irritable.

DollyP · 21/07/2006 00:06

I feel as though I loook about 3 months pregnant already! Never felt so lardy! Can only be about 2 mins pregnant, so must be all in the mind.

No other signs as yet apart from strong sense of smell... bet the MS will kick in soon though. think I am fairly bonkers unpregnant so may be hard to tell if I have turned into a loony .

Good night.

oinker · 21/07/2006 07:22

Excuse me..........

Just popping in to say....

HIYA PIFFLE

How's it all going?

Piffle · 21/07/2006 08:06

Helly DollyP I was also sue to go onto Clomid next cycle
Bodies huh who can tell anything about them?

Figured the nausea yesterday was caused by not eating much, its hard though, you know you need to eat but nothing appeals to you.
I have decided that a bowl of rice krispies will do in an emergency.
I got all my nausea stuff yesterday - preggie pops, an aromatherpay stick to combat nausea - my seabands are in the cupboard. Ginger oat bikkies in the bedside table...
DP says ha bet you do not get it this time
I'm gambling on that bets laid plans ha ha ha
Hope everyone is doing well today - I'm ok on the tiredness front so far... sleep at night is better too...

kittywits · 21/07/2006 08:09

What are preggie pops? Sounds interesting!

Piffle · 21/07/2006 08:19

Couldnt eat my weetabix this morning. Didnt actually want to throw up TMI! but just couldnt face putting it into my mouth. Was sooo tired last night. I veggged out on the settee from about 7 til 10. then couldnt sleep at night. huh! just my luck.

Been looking at the stats thread and it looks like im the baby of the group!

kittywits · 21/07/2006 09:25

Thanks Piffle, sounds interesting, do they work? I don't really feel sicky at the mo. Infact no real symptoms today which always makes me think something's gone wrong. That's silly because it's only really early days and who knows , by the end of the day I might well feel awful.
My lovely dd3 has decided that 5 a.m. is a really fab time to wake up, bless her little cotton socks!

wheelybug · 21/07/2006 09:35

I just got my preggie pops this morning - I got some of the lollies and some of the boiled sweets. Do not have terrible ms just ongoing queasiness in the mornings - hope everyone is else is feeling ok this morning !

1973magpie · 21/07/2006 09:42

Morning all, have started with the morning nausea now.. knew it was too good to last! Not been sick yet but feeling very rough, and having to do everything s-l-o-w-l-y at work and am still way too hot

stretchmarks · 21/07/2006 11:33

Morning all,

Kittywits you made me feel slightly better as ds got up this morning at 5.30am so feel I should appreciate the extra half hour I had compared to you !!

MS is very mild for me probably waiting till I'm on a training course in a few weeks time. Maybe I should stock up on preggie pops just in case - never tried them before have they been around along time ?

mia84 · 21/07/2006 11:36

I love lollypops at the best of times, so im tempted to get some not been sick though! just felt it.
Do they taste nice? at £3.50 for 7 they better

I'm starving but dont really fancy anything! im trying to be extra good to make sure i get all my vitamins, but its bloody hard.

Im taking the tesco pregnancy vitamins. are these any good?

LaidbackinAsia · 21/07/2006 12:00

Hello all

Have had a lovely day. My DS1 accompanied my DS2 to nursery this morning as they are preparing for an art exhibition (he is 2 ?!?) . So DH and I had a whole 3 hours together. We went to a hotel near us and swam for a couple of hours and sunbathed . Bliss.....but my nose is red and looks like I've been drinking heavily.

Wheelybug - yes the Tsunami hit the Galle district very badly. About 6,000 people died in this area and so many houses were destroyed. Many people are still living in tents and temporary shelters including lots of children. Luckily we weren't here when the tsunami hit, but lots of our friends were, and witnessed the devastation. The Sri Lankan people have taken it with an amazing resilience and courage.

Not been sick today, which is fab - off to have early evening swim and dinner at the beach

Hope everyone else not too sick. Welcome newcomers !!!!

Piffle · 21/07/2006 12:45

I heard that if take your preg vits at night it can reduce early am nausea esp if it has Vit b6 in it...
I'm going to try that too LOL
I'm taking a health food brand that resemble torpedos I have to cut them into 3 pieces to swallow, am getting some smaller ones for when my gag reflex kicks in...
I also take mumomega for omega 3 and 6
Today I have done tons of housework as it is too hot to do any in the afternoon!

Piffle · 21/07/2006 12:46

Laidback in Asia your name is so rude to shorten
either
laid or
LBIA too close to labia
What shall we call you honey?

dixia · 21/07/2006 13:09

Morning all!

Welcome to DollyP, glad you're here . Also quite pleased that there are several of us suffering from MS now. Sorry, that's naughty isn't it!

We knew it was going to be bad, it was horrific with pg1, so we have waited 3.8 years until we can afford for me to be ill again. We discussed it endlessly, about the fact that I may just be in bed and not able to do anything. Finally DP says he is ready and suggests we try for no2 and now he's pissed off already. I've only been sick for 5 days! He gets so angry so quickly and its making me feel guilty. Don't know what I can do? He'll just have to get on with it. That was always the deal. Am I being unreasonable? Oh, I have been up in the afternoons and looking after ds.

Still waiting for preggie pops - they better work!

Piffle · 21/07/2006 13:39

Dixia I've copied the morningwell cd onto my ipod do you want to buy the cd off me?
I only paid £10 for it so you can have if for a fiver if you want?

DollyP · 21/07/2006 14:53

Piffle, PMSL at labia for laidback! Not a word I use freely. When I had the 20 weeks scan with DD, the sonographer kept saying, "oh look, i can see the lips of labia, can you see the labia, what big lips of labia" etc . I was so uncomfortable I nearly fell off the bed. At least she was right....

Sorry some of us are feeling unwell. You must let me know if morningwell works - I will try anything to avoid the sickness. I lost a stone last time and am worried about being so poorly again. I think I am making myself sickly already. Hope you are not too hot and bothered .

Piffle · 21/07/2006 15:21

I think we should all copy the cd onto our ipods and pass it on to the next needy person

LaidbackinAsia · 21/07/2006 15:52

Well, I've never been called "labia" to my face !!! - I may change my name to asian labia minora to really get the juices flowing . No really. Do just call me 'asia' or 'Laidback'

Piffle · 21/07/2006 16:55

Sorry was being cheeky I have just realised how rude it was
Ok Asia it is

Queasy in the afternoon seems to be the pattern, quick bowl of cereal seems to help.
I've gone off chocolate
And on to tic tacs...
Serious!

1973magpie · 21/07/2006 17:08

Piffle - tictacs are good

Mind you I've been on the biscuits this afternoon, I need the sugar to keep me awake after the lack of sleep last night - I fell asleep (luckily only for a second!!) at my desk earlier

Jaysecond · 21/07/2006 17:43

Dont know if it would work for anyone else but i have been sniffing a jar of vic. Its so nice and seems to alleviate the feeling of nausea... doesnt make it go completely but when youre out and about it does the job! I wasnt as bad this morning as yesterday, although i did have a rich tea biscuit before i lifted my head of the pillow, am with you on the 5am morning wake up call stretchmarks, thats my DD's preference to the start of her day... i made DH get up at 6 and bring her downstairs while i had another hour in bed, hes so obligeing!

Went and met some friends ( all with bubas similare age to mine) today, we had every intention of going for a wal in the park, but we met at starbucks ( supposed to buy drink then leave) but it was sooooo lovely in there , what with the air con and the vast array of cakes on offer.........so we ended up staying put for an hour and half! one of the girls asked me if i was pregnant yet...... apparently she remembers i said i wanted to have another soon... i had to skirt around the answer, so i didnt actually say yes or no... i cant tell them b4 my family .... hope it doesnt jinx me or the baby

dixia · 21/07/2006 18:33

Piffle, I would love to buy the cd off you! Can I CAT you? I'll give you a bit extra for postage to spain. Thanks a lot!

Feeling much better this afternoon. Actually I've been ok after about 2pm most days. I think as soon as I got sick the feeling of dread took over and I just assumed that that was the end of me enjoying my pregnancy. But feeling more positive now

I love the idea of you lot feasting on tictacs and sniffing jars of vics . That has right cheered me up!

Told my family, and DP told a close friend of ours. Quite excited about them knowing. Its
nice to be able to tell them I'm throwing up rather than making up other things that I have been doing in my really interesting life!
