Lazy DP still isn't up so it looks like we won't have time to join the gym before he goes off to work Angry

Jolleigh · 25/09/2013 11:03

Grin at meat porn being a good start to my seeing to!

MummyPig24 · 25/09/2013 11:08

Wahey, great news on the house pram!

I've kitted myself out. 2 pairs of jeans, some leggings and 4 tops for £50, done in an hour, from H&M, mamas and papas and new look. On the bus home now. I need a pear and a glass of water desperately before I go and fetch dd at 12.

HotCrossPun · 25/09/2013 11:13

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:15

Jesus mummypig that's good shopping! I wish I could be that efficient!

Oh the beef talk, I used to work on a cattle station in Australia and we would eat beef for every meal of the day. When we ran out, we would go out and shoot another one. It was pretty cool. But the first meal they served us was ribs, and they were awful! It was nothing but bone and gristle, so by the time I was finished eating it looked like I hadn't started, which made me feel v.rude. But it was all good after that. Except for the breakfast steaks. I could have done without that.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/09/2013 11:17

Wow Fox that sounds amazing!!!

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:20

I'm jealous of how late you guys can stay up - I'm in bed by 8pm nowadays. I have no life left anymore. Well, I didn't in the first place to be fair, but this is taking the piss.

I'm also jealous of your proper home cooking on a work night.

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:23

Thanks marbie it was a bit crap at the time, being stuck out in the middle of nowhere but I suppose in hindsight it gives me a couple of good stories. Like the time I broke my thumb castrating bullocks Grin

Jolleigh · 25/09/2013 11:24

I had insomnia issues before getting upduffed Fox - now some nights the insomnia wins and some nights the pregnancy exhaustion does. Ends up working out that I'm actually better rested now in some stupid way Hmm

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:30

I have the opposite of insomnia. I think it's called extreme laziness. Even if I've had enough sleep, I still can't get out of bed. Bed is just too bloody comfy.

Prambo · 25/09/2013 11:33

Fox, brilliant story to tell! Cattle ranches and castrations..it doesn't get much feistier than that. I only manage to cook home made every night because I don't work, Foxy. It's like a 9-5 job cooking beautiful meals every night for a 6'5" bloke with a colossal appetite. I often make a pud, too.

I'm a bit worried about the fact that I've had to tell the estate agent we've been in rehab. She insisted on knowing our most recent addresses and I told her. When I asked her if rehab was a problem she said: 'err...I dunno...I've never come across this before. Let me go and check with such-and-such.'

I have a bad feeling Sad

Prambo · 25/09/2013 11:34

...she also asked if we had any previous convictions but I said 'no'. I hate all this. I hate it.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/09/2013 11:35

Grin Fox that has conjured up all sorts of images!

I too have developed terrible insomnia. I am shattered yet cannot drift off. The only good thing is my hourly night wees are disappearing!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 25/09/2013 11:36

Oh Pram what a nightmare. I am keeping everything crossed for you. When is she going to let you know?

x0gawjus0x · 25/09/2013 11:39

My gender scan is 7pm tomorrow now :( they double booked at 6,

ive got really sore ribs today has anyone else been getting quite bad pains all over

x

commsgirl · 25/09/2013 11:41

Fox sounds amazing! On the sleep front, I have to go to bed so much earlier than I used to but still never feel rested as I'm up for a wee and then can't get back to sleep. I freeze batches of meals so I don't have to bother through the week. Still ended up having mash and baked beans for tea the other night though!

Well done Mummyp!

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:41

Hmm, Pram they shouldn't be allowed to hold that against you, surely? That would be discrimination or summat. I've never rented through an estate agent though, so not sure how it works.

x0gawjus0x · 25/09/2013 11:42

Im fine thanks rock just been working so much lately i dont get to come on much carl winges if im on my phone too much :/

maybe im gettin the pains from work bending up and down and lifting etc

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:44

I really, really need to batch cook and freeze. I really do. But at the weekend, I just want to do nice stuff, not thinking about the working week...anyway, this weekend I'm down in Manchester for this baby show, so maybe next weekend I'll get on to it.

commsgirl · 25/09/2013 11:44

Oh Prammy. Do you know when you'll hear back? It's amazing how much info you have to give! I think it all depends on the person who owns the house rather than the estate agent in terms of who they're prepared to let to. We had a nightmare with the dog and I know Grey had some issues with being self-employed. Keeping everything crossed for you.

MummyPig24 · 25/09/2013 11:45

Oh no fox, maybe your iron is low if you are so tired? I'm shattered most days and in bed at 9/10. I don't work and have 2 children so I feel like I ought to cook proper meals! My shopping was efficient. I got the 9.33 bus and I knew I needed to get the 11.03 home or I wouldn't be back in time for dd so I had to be ruthless!

I've donned a pair of maternity jeans and I can finally say I have a bump. I didn't really realise it but it's there. I still feel like a fat frump though.

FoxMulder · 25/09/2013 11:53

Possibly mummypig, but they tested my blood a few weeks ago and it was fine. I would argue that having 2 children is significantly more wearing than my job! I've seen my sister's 2 anyway, and I don't know how she does it. I was asleep by 10 even before I was pregnant and really, really struggled to get up in the morning. I want to make an effort to eat healthily and do some exercise, see if that helps.

Prambo · 25/09/2013 11:55

Dunno when I'll hear back.

There's only one thing for it...I'm off to Greggs.

Jolleigh · 25/09/2013 11:57

Private landlords can discriminate against practically whoever they want unfortunately, other than on the following grounds which are considered to be unlawful: disability, gender reassignment, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion, beliefs, sex or sexual orientation. Everything else is fair game. At this stage, they could easily change their minds and providing it's not because of one of the reasons above, nothing can be done about it.
