Thought I would treat you to a new thread as you lot are far too busy growing new people to do it Grin

Evening brookers.

Sorry your night out wasn't amazing Keep. What have you planned for tomorrow?!

Sweetie your poor feet. I really hope they can give you some advice for them next week. Sore feet are so miserable.

I'm lucky with MrM he has massively bonded with Fin already. I think it will be totally different when they are here Sweetie. I think the first few weeks (as I am imagining) are literally about keeping everyone fed, clean and content. I think the bonding just happens without realising.

How are you doing Pen? How is DS? Is he feeling better?

Hope you have recovered from your travels Stacks

Solars, you never told us about your baby show purchases!

ThedementedPenguin · 03/11/2013 20:52

I'm doing good. Thanks maybe I had a fantastic lie in this morning. My DP is so good to me. I'm so grateful to him.

Ds is okay. Up and down. The rash on his stomach hasn't improved at all in a week. Even though we upped the amount if times we put the cream on. Think I'll give it a few days and if it doesn't improve take him back to the doctor.

I have a Mw appointment in the morning. Dreading the super early start but I'll get over it.

sweetie that really doesn't sound good. How are your feet today? Is there nothing they can give you to help?

ThedementedPenguin · 03/11/2013 20:52

How are you doing maybe?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/11/2013 21:05

Ah, that's good you had a nice lie in Pen. Poor DS. Hope they figure out what's wrong and fix him soon! Good luck at the MW tomorrow!

I'm ok thank you. I think I'm used to feeling rubbish, so just try to do as much as I can manage. I feel like my pelvis is falling apart now, but I'm strangely not bothered. I'm just feeling so happy to be half way now! And feeling more and more movement each day Smile right, that's enough of the soppy stuff I won't even mention the fact that I cried at the the fox and the hound earlier

keepitgoing · 03/11/2013 22:11

My pelvis is fucked too!

Wow, lots of appointments tomorrow! Me mw, pen mw, stacks scan, sweetie clinic,

And then maybe's scan on Tuesday.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 03/11/2013 22:14

Keep how has your back been now you have your bed back?

It's a busy week for the brookers!! Good luck for your scan tomorrow Stacks and for the MW sweetie and Keep!

keepitgoing · 04/11/2013 09:32

It's a fair bit better since the bed arrived maybe... Plus I have been trying to walk less, but do exercise still. However it still crunches and cracks a lot, and sometimes mega painful when I first get up. sweetie I don't know how you can fit twins. I honestly feel ginormous now and like poor kip is so cramped we can't get comfy. I can see why people start to feel desperate around the end of pregnancy - I could still have another 5 weeks...

pen sorry ds still isn't better - is it allergies?

bumpie how are you?

And solars what did you get? Also one of my NCT ladies was telling me of her Hindu tradition to stay home 40 days after the birth. Sounds lovely... Will you do that?

boo how're the kiddies?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 10:30

That's no good Keep. At least the end is in sight Wink. I think you should aim for the 27th. That's when the best babies are born Wink

Can I ask for some advice? I have been a bit breathless the last few days and have been having palpitations, but I feel much worse today. Is this just normal? I can't tell if its something i need to worry about, or whether its just cos my body is a bit knackered. I called the GP and try have no appointments, sk have to call after 2 to see if there are any this afternoon.

keepitgoing · 04/11/2013 10:38

Dh wants it a week early so he misses his night shifts...

maybe I've noticed the odd dodgy heartbeat, and dh says nothing to worry about, your body is just under a lot of strain. But if its markedly worse today I would want to see the gp or at least talk to someone. What about phoning your midwife? If gp won't see you today you could also call the ward. Don't suppose you have a bp monitor? I wouldn't panic, but would think you should see someone.

musicalmrs · 04/11/2013 10:38

Lovely to hear how all you updiffeds are doing! Stacks, hope the scan goes ok today.

Maybe, hope you're feeling ok. If I were you I'd talk to your GP or midwife just in case? Can't hurt? or NHS direct?

Sorry not to name check you all, but it's so lovely to hear how you're all doing. Looking forward to the arrival of the next booking baby - will that be you keep? Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 10:53

If only you could actually pick the date eh Keep Smile

No, I don't have a BP monitor. Will try docs again this afternoon. I'm just wk seeing if maybe I'm coming down with a cold and that's made it worse. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about. I think MrM is more concerned than me Wink

Thanks musical hopefully the GP will see me later. Not long now till you're TTC! How are you feeling about it all?!

GreenOlives · 04/11/2013 11:05

maybe I would get palpitations checked out if they don't resolve quickly. SVT is more common in pregnancy (I had it both times on several occasions) but if it lasts longer than 10 mins it needs checking out. Fortunately I only ended up in hospital once with it! Next time you have a palpitation try bearing down (like you're having a poo) or blowing like you're trying to blow up a balloon. These may stop the palpitation. Of course it may not be SVT at all! Are you anaemic? Either way I'd see the doctor just to be on the safe side Smile

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 11:07

Thanks Olives I will definitely get checked out. The GP ran some bloods last week to check for anaemia, results still aren't back. I've found it makes me cough when it happens. They seem to be much worse when I'm lying down. Thank you for the advice lovely. Hope all is good with you Smile

Solars · 04/11/2013 11:13

Hello

We've had a very busy weekend celebrating Diwali so sorry for being awol again.

Maybe I remember having a few palpitations and people around me saying I seemed more breathless probably about the same time as you are now. I put it down to all the extra blood being pumped around. But I would still make an appointment to see the dr today so you can to get it checked out as you're feeling much worse. MrS also noticed I have a flow heart murmur a few weeks ago and he did say I should go see the gp but naughty me only just mentioned it to the midwife last week who said to see the gp also, I have an appointment in 2 weeks time. The way I saw it was that I can't imagine them doing much about it beside just monitoring it. With regards to my purchases at the baby show I didn't really buy anything apart from a cute swaddle of which there is much debate about them now so wondering whether I should return it!! I also used it as an opportunity to try out the different baby slings and ask about reusable nappies as well as check out the prams and cots again.

Keep Yes I have heard of that tradition but fear I may become stir crazy if I couldn't leave the house for 40 days! Another tradition is that you can go back to stay at your parents house for a month after the birth, I would love that, being looked after them, but I think poor MrS would be missing out then.

Sweetie how are you?

Good luck with all the scan and midwife appointment today, looking forward to everyones updates!!

ThedementedPenguin · 04/11/2013 11:14

keep don't think it is. He hasn't had anything new and rash hasn't changed in a week. Am really not sure what's up with him.

Oh my goodness keep you really don't have long to go at all. Will fly in. What have you planned for next 5ish weeks?

maybe if you can't get an appointment then make sure your doctor gives you a ring as you would be safer getting checked out. Sometimes the doctor can make you an appointment or will ask you to call once surgery has finished.

GreenOlives · 04/11/2013 11:45

All is ok here thanks maybe I'm just feeling a bit wobbly about T starting nursery tomorrow! Don't want to leave my baby!! But as I'm back to work next week I don't really have much choice!! Sad

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 11:49

How quickly has that time gone Olives Shock that's craziness! Brooking that all goes well with nursery and that going back to work isn't too awful x

I'm glad you had a good look round Solars. We didn't buy much either, but was good to cement in our heads what we did want. Happy Diwali! Did you have lots of amazing food? I'm pleased you're going to get checked by the GP.

Thanks Pen. I will call back at 2 and see what they say

musicalmrs · 04/11/2013 12:05

Hope the GP can help later Maybe! I'm feeling both very excited and very apprehensive about TTC again. Feeling boosted by Stacks' BFP success - while BFing too :) I doubt I'll be as lucky to get a super-quick BFP as well, but keeping everything crossed that my body will settle down quickly after coming off the pill. Keeping positive! Luckily I have too much tonnes of work to keep me busy..

keepitgoing · 04/11/2013 12:07

pen i'm hoping it's not as long as 5 weeks, as i'm 36+3... I have planned a few visits from friends and family, lots of cooking, nesting, sleeping... And xmas shopping!

gOSH Olives that does seem to have gone quickly. Return to work must be very hard - are you having to go back FT?

keepitgoing · 04/11/2013 12:09

musical I'm brooking it'll be another fast BFP for you. The next brooking baby should be me, yes, but because she's having twins sweetie might sneak in there first... sweetie what's the latest they'd let you go, or would they not induce? Oh, hope your last week of work goes well!

SweetieTime · 04/11/2013 13:43

Keep I hope you are enjoying your first week of mat leave, sounds like you are doing all the right things. My bump measures 43" around now which I don't think is too bad considering I am carrying twins. Even the midwife says it is a neat twins bump but it isnt as if you can change how you carry it.

Muscial lovely to see you here, can not wait for your speedy BFP. After Stacks instadiff we know it can be done.

Olives good luck for tomorrow, I am sure T will be just fine. It will be you that is the emotional wreck, plenty of tissues and chocolate on hand just in case.

Solars Happy Diwali hope you had a lovely time with friends and family. I saw the advice on swaddling too, I intend to loose swaddle DTs when they arrive. I think the advice against was on very restrictive swaddling especially around the hips and legs.

maybe hope you get a call back soon. I get quite breathless when walking or going up stairs but no palpitations. Best get it checked as the others say.

Just back from twins clinic, all went well. BT now estimated weight of 4lb 7oz & GT is 4lb 3oz. GT has turned and is now breach, that doesn't matter in the scheme of things as it is BT that leads the way so dictates mode of delivery. I will be booked in for induction on 10th Dec if nothing happens naturally before then, this could take upto 4 days Shock or if ELCS is approved that would be booked for Fri 13th don't even go there or Mon 16th Dec. I am going back in 2 weeks to discuss mode of delivery again, they are trying not sure how hard to get me a psychological appointment then I could be given a reason for ELCS.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 14:28

That's great news Sweetie, how are you feeling about it now?

No appointments at the doctors. They're like gold dust. Think I will leave it today. Have my scan and consultant appointment so will mention it then. Just feelin exhausted as it kept me awake most the night.

keepitgoing · 04/11/2013 15:17

sweetie that sounds less like a definite No to me... What great weights the reins are! Did you have a scan or just feeling around? What did they have to say on the foot problem.

Just back from mw. Kip has started to engage, 4/5 palpable. Still on the 90th percentile, so pretty big, though she told me big babies are easier to deliver as they help out...Hmm

RubberBullets · 04/11/2013 15:35

Sweetie Friday 13th will probably be quieter if lots of people are superstitious so you would probably get better care as the medical staff won't be as rushed. I had my epidural very quickly as there weren't many others asking for one at 3am :)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 04/11/2013 15:45

Brilliant news Keep. Can you feel a difference now that Kip is engaging?

Sweetie my scan was Friday 13th. No wonder I managed to get a cancellation Wink. 13th December is also my bro's birthday
