Here you go ladies

Thought I would treat you to a new thread as you lot are far too busy growing new people to do it Grin

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

keep the sofa and bed sounds great, I'm sure your so much happier now. I can't believe how long you managed without.

I agree you should ring ward now, that way if they want you in, you can be in and out in no time. With any luck.

Wow trix only 9 weeks. That's great. That won't be long rolling around. Then you'll have Christmas to relax.

keep 10 days, that's crazy. Hopefully you won't be too stressed out trying to get all done.

Hope it doesn't take you long going through those emails maybe

I'm still waiting for the pregnancy glow to start. This pregnancy is so different from last time. I want to glow, have some energy. When will it start?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/10/2013 09:57

If you find out Pen, let me know!! Though I must say, my hair has never been so shiny, and my skins looking good too. Other than that......

So I can't even access my emails. Have logged the problem with IT. Who knows how long this will take....

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo · 21/10/2013 10:08

Pen how is the issue from your other thread? Has it sorted?

Maybe If you can't log in then surely that counts as another day off Halloween Wink

keepitgoing · 21/10/2013 10:26

ok i phoned triage and they said it's normal as you get towards the end to get BH even at rest, and not to worry. She said are they painful like a contraction. But I don't know what a contraction feels like! I'm guessing not, though, as they're not painful, just uncomfortable. So anyway, now I can relax and get on with some work

I don't think I ever got the glow, though my hair has been nice my skin has been not too good... But I did feel pretty good, if getting tired easier than normal, up to about 30 weeks I would say.

trix that's a lovely time to stop work - things'll be winding down then anyway i assume.

ThedementedPenguin · 21/10/2013 10:26

Booooooooooo yes all sorted. I don't actually feel like crap anymore. Stomach a lot better and am actually eating.

maybe I am so jealous. I want shiny hair and nice skin. I'm a huge spotty mess. :(

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/10/2013 11:32

That's good news Keep, if a little annoying for you.

Boo IT worked their magic and I'm fixed. 400 emails down. 1227 to go......

Pen I'd happily have bad hair and skin if it meant I could have a bit of energy and a normal digestive system! Glad your tummy is better now.

cartoontrickster · 21/10/2013 12:07

good they aren't worried keep but poor you bh's are horrible.
it will be a nice time to finish we usually get really busy for Xmas but goes deadly quiet the few days before hand, with the way Xmas falls this year we will still be busy on that Friday. its really quiet here at the moment, the calm before the storm.
pen I tend to get the greasy hair and spotty face. its better now but just back to normal not an improved version of myself. the last few wks are probably the best I've felt really but still getting tired and having heart burn occasionally.

Stacks · 21/10/2013 15:34

Afternoon all. I've not got much to say really. T's sleep has improved a bit, so I feel a bit more human today. Still tired though. Getting nauseous quite a bit, but easy to deal with so far.

Met up with a friend today who's having her section on Thursday, she's looking tired and has awful backache - and a naughty 2 year old. I hope that's not me in 7 months time! I was so lucky when carrying T, I felt fine right up till 42 weeks (!), I was just fat.

SweetieTime · 21/10/2013 16:53

Trix only 9 weeks, time flies doesn't it? Bet you can not believe it.

Keep have the BH eased off any? Glad you got your bed back without issue too. Are you still having hip pains? Hope the real bed will help sort this out for you too.

Pen I have noticed a massive improvement in my nails too. I don't think I glow but nothing a good dusting of bronzer can not sort out. My hair isn't shiny but defo fuller, I am sure it will all drop out by Christmas and be back to its lank usual self.

Stacks did you have much sickness with T? We all love a symptom around here apart from Maybe and Pen who have been very sickly

I met a twin Mum earlier to buy a couple of bouncer chairs, they are both pink but hey ho I am sure BT won't mind. They sell for £50 each and she sold them for £25 for both. They are fully washable so should be fine.

I have been to dink MW this morning and got to hear twins HBs which was unexpected. Both doing well, BT slower than GT if anyone believes in those gender differences. I have also been very naughty as I am a bit fed up at work, just counting down to go now. They wanted me to go to a meeting tomorrow all day to take notes. I wouldn't have minded if it was at my office where I can park outside and get there easily but this was city centre, not easy to get to and I really cannot be bothered with the hassle. So I have told them that at my MW this morning my blood pressure was a bit high and I need to rest for a few days so will have to dial in from home. I feel really bad now as everyone has been really concerned.

cartoontrickster · 21/10/2013 17:04

I know sweetie its unreal! I can't wait. I got soo confused at first when I read your post, where you'd put BT obviously meaning boy twin. treats is known as BT in rl. my dad came up with it a few weeks ago so as they didn't keep saying 'it'. b for baby and t is mine and dhs surname.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 21/10/2013 18:07

Good for you Sweetie Halloween Wink. So pleased you got to hear hbs, such an amazing sound. And you've picked up a bargain!! Productive day!!

Sorry to hear your feeling a bit yuk Stacks. Glad T's sleep is improving.

Stacks · 22/10/2013 09:00

Oh Sweetie it's perfectly reasonable not to want to go to an awkward meeting. You should be resting anyway I'm sure, you're carrying twins after all. You'll also do much better in the meeting not having had the stress of getting there etc. Could you look into dyeing one or both of the chairs? Maybe purple or something that'll take well on the fabric? As you say though, BT won't mind a bit of pink in his life :)

Keep how are you feeling today? I was lucky with T, I basically didn't get any BH. But then I was 16 days overdue and ended up with a section. Perhaps it's good your body is practicing!

I can't believe its so soon till Christmas. It's going to be a busy time I think, I still need to make a firm descison on what to do for T's birthday. What do people think? A due date birthday (12th Dec), Christmas Day birthday, or a half birthday (25th June)? I liked the half birthday idea, except now bump is due around then!

Maybe the nausea isn't too bad, just when I'm hungry, and when I've eaten! So I need to spend more time in that sweet spot of having eaten recently, but not too recently. I was lucky with T not getting sick at all, I hope this pg is the same. How are you feeling? Are the drugs still helping you with the sickness? Did you get through all your emails?

Waves to everyone else. Hope things are moving along nicely for people, and that pregnancy glows show up soon :) Of course, everyone will have the glow of new motherhood to look forward to ;)

keepitgoing · 22/10/2013 09:21

ha sweetie I think that's perfectly reasonable to not go. Not long till your mat leave either.

The BH have calmed down a bit now. It's hard as I don't want to not do any exercise at all, but i get them whenever I do anything. So last night I just decided to push on through them with my dvd, but stopped every now and then to rest. I've decided not to mind them so long as they're nothing to worry about. And kip is still moving about like crazy so he's ok.

stacks sounds like you had a good pregnancy last time, other than going massively over. How odd to have a csection on xmas day! It's not a great day for a birthday for him, is it? I reckon doing it a couple of days before christmas would be best, as after christmas is always a bit of a let down.

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 09:23

oooo you had T on Xmas day didn't you stacks? would would T prefer or maybe what's easier for you. I quite like due date birthday.

keepitgoing · 22/10/2013 09:37

T is not yet 1, trix, so doubt he understands the issue ;) ...

ThedementedPenguin · 22/10/2013 10:21

maybe did you get through all those emails?

I think I've realised why I'm not glowing, I'm blaming ds (poor baby). I think if he slept through I'd feel more glowing. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Grin

sweetie you are just right. I don't blame you for telling work that. You may as well take it easy when you can. I really don't think BT will notice, my mum had a pink Minnie Mouse bouncer at hers and ds loved it.

keep it's good they don't hurt. I never had any with ds.

So ds is climbing everywhere. You can't leave him in a room alone. I'm exhausted chasing after him.

SweetieTime · 22/10/2013 10:23

Stacks I have an early dec birthday and have always hated it. my db birthday is in mid June which always seemed much better. His parties were held in our garden at home where it was often cold & wet in December so my parties were limited to a couple of friends going to cinema or bowling. also I tended to receive joint Christmas & birthday gifts which is a real cop out. so I would say celebrate in June at his half birthday.

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 10:25

oh silly me didn't realise Blush

NoMaybeAboutIt · 22/10/2013 11:39

Stacks my bro was born on the 13th December. He loves his birthday, but refuses any talk of Christmas until the 14th. He never had joint presents.

I know what Sweetie is saying though about parties. I'm a late November baby so there were no outdoor parties on our house!

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 11:48

mines august and it usually rained anyway. I never got to do very much but my school friends where usually away with it being the summer hols. nice to have a mid year birthday though.

Stacks · 22/10/2013 12:58

I'm thinking a June celebration for the first couple of years could be good, might also help if there's any jealousy for him to get presents same sort of time as bump. I don't want to steal bump's month though. Also there's a million family and friend birthdays in June already. I really want T to be able to have a party with his friends when he's older, or to do things like go to the zoo, or amusement parks. I wonder if people would think a due date party a bit arbitrary though, I'm terrible in that I really feel I need other people to agree with my decisions before I think they're good :(

I'm sitting in ikea with a sleeping T and an aching side. Really need to get in touch with the midwives and see if they'll want to send me for an early scan again. Though it was the dr I saw last time, so maybe I should go see them? Also I've been having lots of repeat blood tests recently for a borderline thyroid issue. Does that affect the pregnancy?

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 13:34

thyroid issues I think can cause issues stacks but easily sorted I'm sure. if I were you I would phone, speak to the receptionish and see if she thinks you need to see the doc or mw at least then you'll be seen by the correct person.
you need to decide what's best for you and what you think T would prefer when he's older make a decision and stick to it every year, don't bother about everyone else. although I'd worry too.

cartoontrickster · 22/10/2013 13:35

mind due I'm often wrong, so maybe see what the others think about your thyroid. I'm sure its nothing to serious anyway.

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooo · 22/10/2013 13:36

Just reading back but want to post quickly to say Stacks you need to get your thyroid meds sorted if you do need them. I take thyroxine and as soon as I get pg I need an increased dose, the baby will be taking your hormones until s/he produces her own which is quite late in pregnancy.

ScaryHalloweenName · 22/10/2013 13:53

Where is Dino when you need her?
