ThedementedPenguin · 15/10/2013 20:45

I can't wait to find out now.

keepitgoing · 15/10/2013 21:34

A girl Grin sweetie your little boy's pick gets even bigger. Where are all the boys...? solars I think it was too early for 3d, just a gender scan?
Congratulations!

wishing I knew about kip now

NoMaybeAboutIt · 15/10/2013 23:31

Thank you so so much you lovely lot!! We are very happy indeed, thought would have been either way Halloween Smile. Though I am most excited about the tutu Boo!!

Solars we had a bit in 4D and it was amazing. Will post a pic tomorrow.

She was upside Down with her legs crossed behind her head! she's her mothers daughter

Solars · 16/10/2013 10:41

Morning!

How cute Maybe, looking forward to seeing your pic.

How is everyone else?

I had my second yoga class last night and i have to say it was much better.

keepitgoing · 16/10/2013 11:07

hope yoga continues to be better solars

I was in such a grump last night, don't know why. Wanted to go to bed at 7 I was so tired, but stayed up till a more reasonable time as that would be a step too far. I'm working from home today, so that's a bit more relaxing still in my PJs

we've not heard from kitty in a while - are you ok?

keepitgoing · 16/10/2013 12:00

maybe spill all your boys names now...

NoMaybeAboutIt · 16/10/2013 12:07

We had chosen Teddy (short for Theodore) for a boy. Girls on the other hand.....

keepitgoing · 17/10/2013 09:05

oh yes - i do like teddy, i forgot we both had that before. Does it seem more real now that you know the sex maybe? So, you're back to work next week - that'll be weird won't it? How are you feeling these days? Have you got ridiculously bored of daytime tv yet...? Bet Otis is loving having you around though.

So we went round the hospital last night. I was pleased because although the delivery suite bit is more medicalised it was still really nice. And the birth centre is lovely - they encourage you to use the whole place, and there's a chill out room with bean bags, a kitchen, a big bathroom so even if you don't get the pool you can do there, and lots of corridors with handles on. It's very weird to think that next time we're there it'll be b-day! There was an NHS class as well beforehand - it was good, similar too though more rushed than the NCT ones that we did. Still, I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to shell out for NCT.

I'm seeing the MW this afternoon. I have to ask her about my dodgy back, and about my BH which are very plentiful whenever i do anything really. Googling tells me this is nothing to worry about though. But it's quite uncomfortable. The lady last night told me you tend to feel them more if you are thinner Hmm

12 more days of work, including today. Bring. It. On.

sweetie how are you doing, lovely? You must be totally knackered as well. When's your next appointment? Are you mahoosive? I just had a bump check, and no stretch marks as of yet, but i've read they often appear overnight right at the end... Tummy button watch - I'd say it's now 3/4 out Grin

question. Last time i saw the MW i had my lunch a couple of hours beforehand which included a nectarine and an orange. I then had 1+ of glucose in my urine. So this time I don't want that to happen but equally I can't go till 4pm without any food. What should I do - i hadn't realised fruit was such a culprit. Do you think a normal sandwich would be ok? And can I have some fruit now?!! Going for 1530.

ThedementedPenguin · 17/10/2013 10:30

keep those 12 days won't be long going in. I bet you can't wait to stop. Plenty of time for the nesting to start.

The hospital sounds amazing. Plenty of great areas to labour in. Hopefully you'll get some answers today keep

Maybe have the fruit earlier, although I will admit I'm not sure.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 11:03

Ooh, not sure Keep. Your sandwich will be fine, but I have no idea how quickly sugar enters/leaves wee. I'm really worried about work if I'm honest. I know the dr would sign me off again if I went back, but I can't afford not to go back as I only get stat sick pay. As I said I'm going to insist in only work a few days in London and work the rest from home. I'm also stressing out as they have booked me to go up north my first day back. I will have to leave home at 6 and won't be back till midnight. It's really upsettinge as MrM will be on nights too. It probably seems really silly, but it's upsetting me.

Welcome Stacks. I cannot wait for the FRER to come so you believe it Grin

Solars · 17/10/2013 11:12

Morning!

I haven't a real clue about the glucose/fruit relationship Keep but as Pen said best to eat now rather than later if you feel it may effect results. Your hospital sounds really nice. We are booked into our hospitals antenatal classes too in December which includes a tour of the hospital. We haven't booked onto a NCT class yet but I am doing the Daisy birthing class which I'm looking forward to starting next month. Good luck with the midwife this afternoon!

Hello Stacks does this mean you're pg!!?? Congratulations!!!

Oh Maybe that would really worry me too! Are these trips up north really necessary for you? I think if you do it that first day and then if it's really too much then speak to them about it.

Stacks · 17/10/2013 11:17

I got a faint line on the FRER test just now, so I guess I'm diffed. More than a little shocked though, this was only our first month of trying. We were both expecting at least 2/3 months.

keepitgoing · 17/10/2013 11:22

oh maybe you can only do what you can do. Are you still on the hardcore nausea drugs? how will you know when you can wean off them? You said you'd only be on stat sick pay, but if you go back doesn't that reset the amount of sickleave you get again? In the NHS i think you only need to go back for a day and then it resets. But look, Finella is the most important thing, so if you can't cope you can't cope. Also, is there any real need for you to even be in London twice a week? Can't you work the whole time from home? What's your boss like? I mean they'd rather have you working from home than being signed off again, wouldn't they? Maybe you should just start and see what you can do, then have a conversation with him about what to do - PT, from home, or whatever.

Re the first day up north. That doesn't sound particularly sensible. Can you question it? And if you have to go then do whatever you have to do to make it doable - even if that means spending money.

One other thing, just check when your mat pay is calculated - i think they look at weeks 16-20 or so of pregnancy can't be bothered to google so it might be worth just looking into that.

This is just not fair that you're having such a tough pregnancy after ttc trouble!

Right, I had a banana at 11, then will just have a sandwich before the appointment. Fingers crossed for no glucose.

Does anyone ever wish they were a cat? I see mine curled up in front of me on the windowsill in the sunshine. Now that is a good life!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 17/10/2013 11:29

Keep I would say just eat your normal food, if you try to control the result it could mask something the mw needs to have flagged up. If it is at all reassuring they sent me for a gtt after getting ++++ of glucose consistently in my samples, I would have loved just one little + Grin

Stacks congratulations :):)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/10/2013 11:54

Thank you so much lovely brookers. I will speak with them. I'm on SMA so don't know how they calculate it. I think it's a standard £130ish pounds a week as long as I've worked 26 weeks in the 52 weeks before birth. From what I understand I am still on the drugs. I'm going to finish the course and see how I feel. Got a couple of weeks left. I still feel nauseous on them, so don't think I could cope without them at the mo.

You really have made me feel better Thanks

Stacks I'm delighted it's sinking in now. I'll up a pew and make yourself comfy.

How are you feeling Solars?

keepitgoing · 17/10/2013 11:59

Ok you're right, SMA is just on weeks worked I think 26 in the 66 or something odd (its on my list of things to do).

Congratulations stacks! Maybe we'll all be instadiffers second time round. Did they find any problems last time you ttc?
