Here you go ladies

Thought I would treat you to a new thread as you lot are far too busy growing new people to do it Grin

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NoMaybeAboutIt · 10/10/2013 21:42

The bump is coming along Sweetie. Especially when I lie down - it used to disappear, buy now it sticks up! Food is going so much better. Still very averse to lots of things, and when I think of something I like, I have to eat it. But I'm so pleased to be eating again!!

I'm sorry you're feeling so tired. But it's totally understandable!! I'm tired and I'm only growing one Wink

I understand your predicament. Not the sort of thing I'd trust MrM with.....Grin

keepitgoing · 11/10/2013 09:17

maybe very exciting to get a bump. For ages mine was only really noticeable to me, and when lying down. It was quite slow growing until 25ish weeks, since then it's been really fast.

DH is really into his photography, so we spent some time last weekend doing some lovely shots of us and bump. Gonna do some more when i'm super enormous nearer the end.

solars when's your next scan, i know they had to recheck something from the 20 weeks?

kitty kitty where are you? Are you doing ok on the worrying front now the first scan's over? have you told anyone yet? How are the symptoms? Still just sore boobies?

Please brook that we exchange contracts on the sale of our house today. We are then supposed to complete next friday which would mean that we could get our beds next weekend. Super brooking needed that nothing will go wrong please!

GenericDietCola · 11/10/2013 10:02

Hello everyone, just popping in to say hi. I still lurk here occasionally to hear all your preggo news!

Maybe I'm glad you're feeling a bit better and am brooking that you can eat much more normally and feel less tired soon until you have a baby waking you up at all hours

Keep, I am brooking for the completion and bed-getting! Have you been sleeping on a mattress since you came back to England? No wonder you have a sore back! I had a back injury during pregnancy with DS - I slipped over and pulled my lower back. My physio recommended gently rocking my pelvis while seated before standing up to loosen the ligaments. It helped me and may help you too.

Sweetie your pregnancy seems to be flying by! Hopefully it is going swiftly for you too. I am so excited for our second set of brooking twins!

Solars, you sound so happy at the moment and it's lovely after such a long TTC journey.

Trix, hope you enjoy yoga and I'm glad you're so happy too after all your dramas to get here. V exciting re the pram, car seat etc.

Who have I missed? Probably loads, but I am brooking for you all.

My brooking baby is getting on for 10 months now! Crawling, smiling, laughing, saying his name (he is a genius) and trying to pull himself up to stand. It has gone so quickly. Enjoy every moment, you lucky preggos! Smile

keepitgoing · 11/10/2013 11:15

not even gen... It's been an air bed. I know, it can't have helped!!! Thanks for the tip re pelvic rocking, I'll give it a go. It's true that once i've moved around a bit and things have warmed up that it all seems easier. Is that you done on the babies front then? I think you're so right about enjoying it all. It does go fast, even though it goes slow at the same time.

cartoontrickster · 11/10/2013 11:32

gen thats so sweet of you, it does feel a bit surreal at times still. I can't believe its finally happening! your ds sounds like such a cutie.
maybe hope your still managing to eat some yummy things, all the important food groups such as cake Wink .
keep and sweetie sounds like the preparations are coming along nicely! the little ones will be here in a flash. time does seem to be flying by! brooking for your house keep
its strange I havent had any aches or pains for over a week now so I guess everything's settled a bit. perhaps it was a sudden growth spurt or something. keep make sure you rest when it hurts and mind them baths aren't too hot, have you spoken to the mw or gp to see if it is spd?
ill be off for my weekend away later, caravan in challabrough Devon with the in-laws so not quite a baby moon but will be a nice break!

GenericDietCola · 11/10/2013 12:42

Keep, yes, that's us done! I love hearing all the brookers' news, but I do feel happy that we are done with our two and feel very lucky to have them.

Trix enjoy your break!

keepitgoing · 11/10/2013 13:47

We have exchanged! Roll on next Saturday when we get our bed back x
:)

NoMaybeAboutIt · 11/10/2013 14:07

Oh Keep! Congratulations Thanks

So lovely to see you Gen

Have a lovely time Trix!

SweetieTime · 11/10/2013 14:18

Gen lovely to see you as always

Trix enjoy your break away

keep great news on the exchange, counting down the days until you get a proper bed. Cannot do your back any harm

Solars · 11/10/2013 14:23

Hello, how is everyone doing?

Fantastic news Keep I can't believe you've had no bed, no wonder your back is feeling it. I think you may be thinking of Bumpie's 20 week scan, mine was fine. I do have my 3D/4D scan booked in at 26 weeks though. I have been feeling more movement but it is still only flutterings. But it's still reassuring to feel something. I can't believe it's getting closer and closer for you. Are you pretty much sorted with everything? By the way do we get to see the bump pics?

Maybe lovely, it's so good to hear you are on the mend with food.

Sweetie yes my lady garden needs a trim too and perhaps after this one I may leave it to the professionals!

Trix glad to hear your pains have subsided and have a lovely break away.

Gen it's so lovely to see you, I can't believe your little one is getting on to 10 months already. I am feeling quite happy and very lucky to have got this far. I'm quite eager to meet the little one but I already feel like I'm going to miss this pregnancy, very strange mixed emotions Hmm MrS has started to reading to the bump, the cricketer Michael Vaughan's autobiography Hmm Well it helps me get to sleep!!

I had my first yoga class a few days ago and have to admit I wasn't very impressed, the dvd i've been using has been much better. I was also using it as an opportunity to meet fellow preggos but it wasn't that type of session, it was yoga and no time to talk to anyone else.

In other news I have booked my ticket to the Baby Show at Olympia today which I'm hoping may enlighten me on things I need or don't need If anyone else is going maybe we can catch up with a cup of tea there!

Bumpie, Kitty & Pen hope you are all doing well!

Hot chocolate anyone? It's a blustery out there today!

keepitgoing · 11/10/2013 17:17

Oops yes solars, and you'll be finding out the sex then, yes? So pleased you're feeling the flutters now - very reassuring isn't it. Boo to silly easy yoga class, oh well, might as well just stick to the DVDs then, they're easier. I wouldn't say we are that ready, though we do have most things they're mostly in heaps. Dh had minor panic over breakfast when we high fived at being 33 weeks 'but we haven't packed the hospital bag!'.

The baby show... Prepare to be overwhelmed with gadgets they say you can't live without, I reckon ;)

Oh yes, I'm already thinking about missing this pregnancy too. Weird feelings.

Bumpiemalumpie · 11/10/2013 22:47

hey all, sorry I have been absent but been very busy at work.

keep I still have ten weeks to wait till my next scan unless the midwife is worried. Bean is kicking around which calms me. That's for asking, I will update. Congratulations on exchanging, I hope you buy some new bed linen to celebrate!!

How is everyone?

I recovered from our boring break by cleaning the house from top to bottom on Monday. I even cleaned the oven, twice!!!

Work has been mad and it has started to hit me that I will be leaving. I work with vulnerable children and consider them mine so it is a sad thought!!

In other news, along with spilling my tea, spilling my cereal, dropping and breaking my phone, standing on the tablet and backing into a car, also on Wednesday (Blush ) My tummy button showed it's almost ready to pop. This freaks me out, has anyone else's??!!

ThedementedPenguin · 12/10/2013 10:23

keep great news on the exchange. Hoping the next week goes quickly so you can get your bed back. How have you been coping with an air bed? It's crazy.

solars what date is your 3d/4d scan? Are you going to find out the sex?
Also that's a shame about the yoga classes. Is there any other classes near you?

Oh bumpie sounds like you've had a bad week. Hope you didn't burn yourself? Mine popped out during my last pregnancy, I think it's very common.

Can't believe how cold it's gotten the past few days. Could do with a few hot chocolates Grin

So just because I can't remember any one else's (I'm assuming everyone is the same) here's my recap.

Penguin 15 weeks EDD 5/4/14 with Pingu

Bumpiemalumpie · 12/10/2013 13:58

Hey, yea, it had it's better times, I have just had a great conversation with a man from Train line.

I ordered tickets last weekend and had to pay for next day delivery as apparently they couldn't confirm it would be delivered before yesterday. Needless to say, it was not delivered.

Here is the conversation -
I explained I had ordered tickets for the 13th, paid £21.20 due to delivery when the trip is £12.20.
He said that there was an attempt for them to be delivered on the 8th, I have said there was not, I was in all day, he said the royal mail left a red note. I said they did not.

I said that I need to the tickets tomorrow and the post offices are shit now, He said that he can do a refund of £2, I said no, I paid £21.20 due to delivery charge. He said that he could refund £9, I said no, I want it all back. He said he can make arrangements for replacement tickets and they will be sent on Monday, I said no, I am in need of them tomorrow, he said to go to my local post office to try to collect them, I said no, I would need the red card that the royal mail said they delivered but it was not left so I cannot and plus, it is outside of working hours now so will not be able to get them till Monday, he said that would be fine, I said no, I need them tomorrow!!!! Ahhhhh he then said that he could make arrangements for them to be collected from the ticket machine, I asked if I would need the card, he said no, he put me on hold, he then came back and said that he could only send them and that would happen for Monday.

I asked him if he had my booking in front of him, he said he had, I asked him what date the tickets were for, he said the 13th, I asked him when the 13th was, he said tomorrow, I asked him therefore what the point was of me getting the tickets for Monday, he said so I could travel!!! Ahhhhhhhhh I took his name and I am making a complaint! He told me his name was Mr Smith(Um Ok!!!!)

Rhh, rant over!!

penguin I didn't burn myself, but thanks for the concern.

green any news?

x

NoMaybeAboutIt · 12/10/2013 14:32

Oh Bumpie what a pain in the arse. Do you find your preggo hormones make you more argumentative?! Mine certainly do Grin

Pen it's bloody freezing isn't it?! I do love autumn though Smile

Hope everyone is ok x

keepitgoing · 13/10/2013 20:37

bumpie that's a ridiculous conversation! Did you manage to sort it today? My tummy button has recently half popped, I think in another week it'll be right out.

pen I'm 33+2, due 29 Nov.

Exhausted after staying up till 1am last night with friends. 1am!!!! So I have already been tucked up for half an hour, as have a long week ahead. Sigh. I can't even stay up for homeland!

Hope everyone is ok, just off having fun weekends. Pretty darn miserable weather this end.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 13/10/2013 21:05

Oh Keep the weather here is appalling. We spent the day at a baby show. I am so very tired. But I really enjoyed it. We got so excited doing baby things Smile

1 am?! You dirty stop out you Wink

ThedementedPenguin · 13/10/2013 21:51

keep I thought I was bad as I wasn't home until near half 11. Went to the cinema with my mother. Seen thanks for sharing, was very good.

bumpie hope you got all sorted out for today.

I've spent all day at home in my pjs, have had such a lazy day. Thinking of heading to bed soon.

maybe I bet it was a good day, I'd love to have went to one but there's none near me. Did you get many freebies?

GreenOlives · 13/10/2013 22:02

marking place Smile

SweetieTime · 14/10/2013 08:24

Maybe let us know how the baby show went? Did MrM want all the gadgets? MrS watched the gadget show a few weeks ago when it was all about baby stuff and he wanted everything!!

Pen everyone needs a PJ day now and again, as a preggo I think it should be the law.

Bumpie I drop things all the time, are you having problems with your hands too? Tummy button not yet popped out here yet, I am not sure it will TBH, my bump is massive now.

Keep I was in bed early last night too, 8.15 Shock and missed Homelands. We have recorded it so can watch it tonight instead.

We had a really busy day Saturday with our twins antenatal class. We got home from that and literally chucked fish & chips down our necks then back out to an evening wedding reception. So wasn't home until mid night, Keep I am totally feeling your pain. I was knackered all day yesterday, I am not sure how I am going to cope with the lack of sleep when the babies come along.
The twins thing was really good, although I am still terrified. I need to speak to people about epidurals, does anyone recall if any Brookers have had one? None of my friends have that I know about but I will enquire. I could Google but we all know that Dr Google likes to scare us.

Solars · 14/10/2013 09:22

Morning

Hope those of you who had late nights on Saturday are now fully recovered.

Pen my scan is on 16 November and feeling more like I want to know the sex too. I am now 21w 6d due 18 Feb. Sounds like you had a lovely lazy day yesterday. Unfortunately I had to sign up to the 6 weeks of the yoga class so hoping it will get better.

Bumpie hope you got your tickets sorted, that would drive me nuts if I had to deal with someone like that. I usually end by saying I want to speak to their manager.

Maybe was there anything you are thinking of getting from the baby show? I'm looking forward to mine which is at the end of the month. By the way are you still at home or back to work now?

No idea about the epidural Sweetie

We went pram hunting on Saturday and still feel pretty clueless in terms of what to get, quite liking the bugaboo chameleon now but I think we may still plump for the uppababy vista when it comes to it. Sunday I went to the nct sale but didn't come away with much, just a pregnancy book Hmm it just all seemed all fraught and I didn't really have a clear idea of what I needed anyway.

Bumpiemalumpie · 14/10/2013 11:31

Hello all,

Un expected day off today as went to work, came over all faint and funny, anxious I was going to be sick and just didn't feel right so came home again!! Annoying as I have so much to do so may end working this afternoon but frightened myself I think!! Really not sure what it is?!

Thanks for those asking about the tickets. I ended up sending the money to my friend so she could buy replacement tickets and I have written a very strong worded and not at all emotional letter which I have just sent off.

My belly button is getting so close to popping!! I wonder if this is why I feel poorly? Baby has bean has been moving a great deal and at times it can be uncomfortable, I guess it is bean getting better??

I am off to the baby show at the end of the month. Did not realise there were gadgets, god help us!! I am also off to an NCT sale next month!! Embracing this first time mum thing!!

How is everyone? sweetie I don't have any pain, just naturally clumsy!

RubberBullets · 14/10/2013 14:26

Sweetie I had an epidural. What do you want to know?

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 14/10/2013 15:21

Bloody thing stole my lovely long post :( will try to remember what I put!

Sorry I have not posted in a while, it has been so busy over at Boo Towers Halloween Smile

Keep glad to hear you've exchanged and your bed is coming back soon. I had a lot of back/hip pain and found a birth ball really helped, it was so comfortable to use for rocking/rotating (and early labour) on. I also think that you should try to see a physio, they may be able to give you a belt to help.

Sweetie I had an epidural too, I would be happy to tell you what ever you want to know, I'm always at the end of a pm! How are you feeling now you've past the 28 weeks (you're 29 now aren't you?)

I can't believe you all let Trix's baby brain moment pass you by, are Sweeties boy and girl twins identical Halloween GrinHalloween Grin how are you doing, how many weeks are you now Trix?

Maybe so happy to hear your nausea is better, on to food next then Halloween Smile is it your scan tomorrow? Are you finding out the sex? Exciting, I think Fin is a boy!!

Solars how goes it with the mil? Hope you've managed to distract her, how was the baby show?

Glad to hear your feeling better Pen.

OP posts:
cartoontrickster · 14/10/2013 15:52

boo I'm 26wks now. not sure a out baby brain perhaps just a bit thick! I thought they could be different sexes but be identical looking, a quick Google gives me mixed answers.
bumpie what area are you in?
I'm planning on going to an nct nearly new sale next month too. nearly got tickets for the baby show at Olympia but changed my mind, dh said the train journey would be long and he didn't want to drive in london.
has everyone caught up on their sleep now? I've been sooo tired this weekend too.
bumpie was it you saying about being clumsy? I have days now where I literally drop everything I touch, its ridiculous!
hope you've all had a lovely weekend.
