I still have a Brummie twang myself sparks, was born there and moved to Stratford when I was 9 and its still not gone....having had the mick taken out of me ever since I left the Midlands 10 years ago I just wouldn't wish a strong accent for my children if you get what I mean ? ;). Dearly hope we can move back there within the next 12 months, here has never felt like home :(

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 10:54

Morning brookers. We are very quiet of late! How is everyone? How was the weekend?

How's your arm feeling Solars? I also had my flu jab Saturday. Had a temperature all weekend but I think it's gone now!

Did you start your yoga Trix? How'd you find it?

Any more house viewing Keep?

How you feeling now Pen?

How's the bump coming along Sweetie?

We decided that we wouldn't be able to move any time soon. It's just too expensive. Whilst we have enough equity for our deposit, we don't have enough for all the fees and the stamp duty. I'd completely forgotten about stamp duty. When I moved before it had been put on hold! So a baby and a dog in a one bed flat. Going to be fun Wink

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 13:01

maybe are the new pills still working for you?
I havent started yoga yet, my first one will be on the 26th so a couple of weeks yet. I read about the format on her website and it sounds exactly like bumpie described. so not too much actual yoga! we're having a little break to Devon this weekend. this weekend was fairly quiet spent most of it watching downton on DVD.
hows everyone else?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 13:27

They are working thanks Trix. I still don't have an appetite, but the nausea is so much better than it was!

A weekend away sounds lovely. Where know Devon are you off to?

I'm really enjoying the yoga. Though our is 45 minutes of proper yoga followed by 15 minutes of deep relaxation. Tis wonderful!

SweetieTime · 07/10/2013 13:40

Pen great you are feeling better, make to most of it and get some food inside you.

Maybe very sensible if a little cosy. We moved earlier this year and it was a real nightmare and cost a fortune. We weren't even in a chain so goodness only knows how stressful that would be. Glad to nausea has eased next step will be food. Hopefully you can keep some fluids down, do you like milky drinks? At least they would have the milk vitamins.

Trix the whole Downton thing has passed me by but the new series of Homelands started last night. Now that is a good show, proper gripping if anyone needs a box set recommendation.

I had my 28 week growth scan this morning and jumbo twins are both growing well. Boy twin estimated weight is 2lb 10oz and girl twin is 2lb 9oz. The average estimated weight for a singleton baby is 2lb 2oz at this stage.

Both are heads down just where they need to be for a double sneeze. I enquired about ELCS, they only do them for medical need such as if T1 was breech. So I might be out of luck on this one. I am going to have to get my head around the double sneeze option and quickly only 9 weeks to my 37 week due date. How did that happen???

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 14:01

Sweetie where has the time gone?! So pleased giant twins are doing so well! How are you feeling about using the conventional exit?

I may try a hot choc later. I have a doughnut craving. WTF?! You are right,I the the sensible option. It is a big flat too, so it won't be too bad. Thank goodness for ikea!

I bloody love homeland!!

EverythingIsTicketyBoo · 07/10/2013 14:14

Sweetie great scan news, the jumbo twins sound a good weight. Would it help you to know that I have a friend who gave birth to jumbo twin girls after a 4 hour labour at 37 weeks exactly! They were both around the 7lb mark :):)

keepitgoing · 07/10/2013 14:49

I love homeland and downton!

sweetie I thought you can request a Cs if you want. Great they are in the right position though. You'd better read up on normal birth then! They can still move, up till quite late, though, so just because they are head down now doesn't mean they'll stay.

maybe I would say I didn't have much of an appetite till about 16 weeks, but just ate anyway. So long as you're not feeling sick.

I overdid it on Sat, and now have a pretty bad back. sparks any tips for spd? Massages don't help, but paracetamol does. I'm seeing the mw next week but wonder if there's anything else I can be doing. It's worse when I stand up, roll over, walk too much.

And work sucks and argh I'm worried I won't finish what I'm contracted to do.

We did see another house, but no good. We get some relocation expenses from dh's new job, though nowhere near even stamp duty. maybe sorry you're stuck where you are, but it'll be fine!

keepitgoing · 07/10/2013 14:50

Ps I think kip was 1.5kg at 28 weeks which was bang on average. Is that 3lb?

Solars · 07/10/2013 16:00

Great scan news Sweetie I'm brooking you get the birth you want. I can't believe you're so close now. It doesn't seem that long ago when we were both going through our first ivf round together!

Maybe my arm is ok and luckily I didn't suffer a temperature after the flu jab. My appetite has been pretty good all through so far but I think the steroids had something to do with that in the first trimester. But I'm glad to hear you are feeling better now and the drugs are working. I think you've made the right decision about moving. We are also staying put until we figure out the areas and schools even before we consider moving, it also gives us a chance to sell our properties. Luckily we are in a 2 bed flat although we really need to start sorting out the 2nd bedroom now.

Pen so pleased to also hear you are feeling better too.

Downton has also passed me by. I do like Homeland though but haven't watched yesterday's episode yet, can't wait though.

Keep boo to work and I hope you get your back sorted out! doesn't sound like much fun.

We've just had one of MrS's friends over for lunch today and I think he was more excited about our pregnancy than both me and MrS put together Hmm he was asking loads of questions and whenever I tried to change the subject he kept coming back to the pregnancy!

We also went pram looking yesterday and I'm quite liking the uppababy vista but we haven't seen the icandy yet.

SweetieTime · 07/10/2013 16:01

yes please boo sign me up for one of those. I suppose it is fear of the unknown and lack of control that is making me so fearful of a natural birth. If I knew how it would be, how long etc I am sure I would be more open to the idea but no one knows how they will be. Ahhh bring on the worry.

Jesus sweetie I hadn't realised a natural birth would be an option. Confused also stupid question will the twins be non identical?
we're a bit late to the whole downton thing we just watched the whole first series. I actually enjoyed it, it was dhs choice you see i didn't think I would be into it.
keep I've no idea about kg to lbs but sounds like kips doing well, the twins too sweetie
oooo donuts maybe go on have one. I've already had some mince pies really fancied them, they're already in waitrose.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 17:14

Grin Boo

Thanks Keep. 16 weeks today. I think I must have jinxed myself as I'm not feeling incredibly sick. Ah well.

Solars your friend sounds lovely! Does he have kids? Just a word of warning if you're interested in an Icandy. They have a 20 week wait. We ordered ours the weekend before last, and it's due to come in 4 weeks before I'm due Shock

I think we will cope just fine here. We have been looking at ideas storage solutions, and they're pretty nifty. Plus it means we will be comfortable when I'm on mat leave seen as I will only get SMA.

I think I'm having a growth spurt. My tummy has really popped out. I also think my rib cage has expanded quite a bit as I just look chunkier despite my ribs sticking out. I feel such a weird shape. Skinny in places and big in others. Am massively hoping the attractive side of pregnancy is going to kick in soon Grin

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 19:12

really maybe my icandy came a week after ordering from john lewis even though we were told a 6wk wait. I actually moaned that it was inconvenient that I had it now.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 19:37

Wow, you were lucky Trix!! We have been told end of Feb!

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 19:48

I cant believe it maybe surely it can't take that long! I didn't want to have the pram here any sooner than November really but ordered it anyway because she said it would take 6wks and I could delay the delivery by a week or so meaning it would be like the end of Oct. they phoned a week later to say it was in stock basically refused to deliver it so we had to make a trip over there to collect asap because the woman acted like it was the worst thing in world when I told her ok I can collect it then but not for two weeks. I was not impressed is been told it was free delivery. I wrote and complained. john lewis isn't that local to me. they're sending me a gift voucher. Grin

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 19:51

What a nightmare Trix! Which one did you go for in the end? What colour?! We've just been told that there is a massive back log of orders for them. Not that I mind though, it's easier for them to hold on to it for as long as possible!!

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 20:10

I got an apple 2 pear. we went for Cassis which is a purple colour. the apple is mostly black though. its just the push chair hood that's a colour. the carry cot is competly black. I think the other models are completly coloured. which did you go for?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 20:13

We went for the Peach 2. In silver mist and black. I can't wait!! We also ordered the car seat and isofix base

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 20:20

ooooo sounds nice colours. I've got a denim maxi cosi cabriofix carseat. the pram came with the adaptors. we got the car seat belted base. we even have a play pen! I know we won't need that for ages though. its a good thing we already live in a 3 bed house because I really don't know where we would keep everything. ill be looking for a cot soon.
are you finding out the sex maybe?

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 20:34

We are indeed Trix, next week!!

cartoontrickster · 07/10/2013 20:36

how exciting! I can never remember whos a ubb and who isn't. is it just sweeties twins that we know the flavors of so far.

NoMaybeAboutIt · 07/10/2013 20:48

I think so Trix! And I think Solars may be finding out at her 4D scan!
