A new thread for you all to play with?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I agree that nhs processes are confusing. I just called my local (in west london) clinic and got an appointment for tomorrow. we'll see how it goes.

LongTailedTit · 16/09/2013 17:47

I think the Rockery is a Monty Python reference, we seem to have a few fans in our midst! :) Always a good thing.

bushprincess · 16/09/2013 17:55

Afternoon all ye knights who say ni!
Amazing news on the scan trufkin!! Must be so special, so glad all is well in there!
Glad you're doing ok too thistle and that they took you seriously enough to check it out. Big relief!
Shame the nos system is being difficult to navigate for some, hope you all find kindly midwife to help guide you through.
Hope everyone has a lovely relaxing, nausea free evening, I'm just off to chop down the tallest tree in the forest with a herring! Smile

bushprincess · 16/09/2013 17:57

mumof2aimingfor4 · 16/09/2013 18:09

CoffeeGuzzler another West London lady Smile

Jammybean · 16/09/2013 18:15

Wow new thread already!

6 weeks today. Only 238 days to go, can you tell I'm counting?! Smile

RosesInTheRain I feel for you. Dd 2 has been announcing that I have a worm in my tummy to anyone that will listen.

Sickness and nausea has taken its hold here. The only thing that seems to help is eating little and often. I have my booking in app. Thursday morning. A little Envy for those who are a few weeks ahead.

thistlelicker · 16/09/2013 18:22

The receptionist at our gp said I needed to see gp before midwife. I asked her why when I've had plenty of visits to epu/a n e/and consultant! I asked her what gp would do, she said fair enough.... Midwife on Thursday!!!!! All beginning to be very real

Cybercat · 16/09/2013 18:26

Ah I remember you know AliOh. I rang the GP surgery for the phone number of the midwives and spoke to them directly - maybe I got lucky? That doesn't make sense though as we will both be treated by the same Health Board so the procedure should be the same. I'd ring again.

CoffeeGuzzler · 16/09/2013 18:26

mumof2 bit of sunshine today!

Jammy aww..worm in the tummy. Haha. So cute!

Cybercat · 16/09/2013 18:26

Must learn to preview. It's 'now' not know!

mumof2aimingfor4 · 16/09/2013 18:38

Yes it was a pleasant syroise after such a drab morning.
Those suffering with nausea, eat ginger, be it ginger biscuits or ginger beer, I consumed both when pg with dd2 and it does help.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 16/09/2013 18:39

Lol pratt, I need to read what I write! Surprise not syroise Confused

Chip86 · 16/09/2013 18:45

mumof2 and coffe ur both in the same area as me this is my first are there any hospitals in the area i should stay away from?
Thank u for your help

CoffeeGuzzler · 16/09/2013 19:03

Chip My neighbour had her baby at Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, which was one of three options she was given. She only has good things to say.

mumof2aimingfor4 · 16/09/2013 19:07

Ive had both of my dd's at ealing hospital. I don't like the rest of Ealing hospital but they're maternity wing is faultless in my eyes. Been hearing a few negative things about Queen Charlotte's surprisingly as I thought they were good. Stay away from west middlesex hospital.

Chip86 · 16/09/2013 19:47

Oh ok thank u girls im near hillingdon hospital have u heard anythig about that one or is it a bit far out thanks for ur help

mumof2aimingfor4 · 16/09/2013 20:01

My aunt is near there and I've not heard anything bad about it from her.

Halfbaked · 16/09/2013 20:11

Oh blimey we're all over here already!

roses I'm near Norwich, I also have a DD 3years old.
I'm not sure how well she will take to the idea of a sibling. When I was holding her cousin 4months at the weekend she said "Stop that now mummy, its not fun" and when asked if she wanted a sibling said "I don't need one." We won't tell her for a while!!!

AliOh · 16/09/2013 20:24

Should in theory work the same Cybercat but you never know. The GP just asked me to fill in a self referral for the midwife so am planning on ringing early next week if I've not heard anything - everything seems to go 10x slower in Pembs!! Back of beyond and in the middle of nowhere!

Chip86 · 16/09/2013 20:32

Thanks mumof2 peace of mind Smile

Hope every one had a good day and enjoying ur evening with feet up and Cake

Cybercat · 16/09/2013 20:46

'Pembrokeshire time' AliOh! Does anyone else feel particularly hormonal? I feel really teary tonight.

thistlelicker · 16/09/2013 21:03

I just found myself crying because my friend said no to meeting for coffee

thistlelicker · 16/09/2013 21:03

I also feel really sick

Cybercat · 16/09/2013 21:07

I'm really sorry to hear that thistlelicker but I'm also glad I'm not alone. How can I be turning into such an emotional basketcase at only 5 weeks!

Chip86 · 16/09/2013 21:16

Well hormones not to bad but my skin hates me i look like a 15 year old teen so dont think it will be long
If boobs get any bigger i might start falling over
Oh and who mentioned the gas man so bad, silent but deadley, not sure how long DH going to live with me for Blush hehehe
