I feel really upset today, I don't feel pregnant anymore but I can't say why. Maybe it's just hormones.

Hi all,

Chip, Wiking and Thistle hope everything is ok.

I saw my GP yesterday evening so he’s going to get me referred to midwife, I asked him about the flu jab and whether I need it (never had it last preg) and he said it’s down to personal choice, he said they think it’s safe for preg women and lots obv have it but tests have never actually been done (as don’t test on preg women) so he said it’s down to me and suggested read up for myself on internet and decide, so now I’m not sure! We always get offered one at work but I never bother but was going to this year cos preg but now not so sure!

My sickness has been unbearable the past 2 days – could barely function yesterday, off food and felt sick permanently and vomited in mornings – pretty much as I was expecting as had the same last time. However this morning I popped into Boots and picked up some travel sickness bands and have popped them on and I have actually noticed that the edge has been taken off the sickness, still there but not as bad and I am actually managing to do some work (rather than wanting to curl up under my desk and go to sleep!). They are ugly things and need long sleeves (as obvious!) but I am not taking these off until 20 weeks!! So worth a try for those of you also suffering.

ItalianWiking84 · 17/09/2013 15:30

I called the doc or the reception and as long as my urin test for confirming I am pregnant haven't come back, there is no reason to see me :/ so I have to wait for that test, don't know why when I already have tested my self and my period is overdue... So I am just going up have to wait...

LongTailedTit · 17/09/2013 15:46

Afternoon!

Scan all good! Phew. Little bean is 10mm, they've calculated me as 7+2, and just said to rest up for the next month to make sure the bean stays sticky. Obv not a direct quote Wink

Hope you're ok Chip

Wiking Weird that they won't see you without your urine test coming back positive - so many docs just say a home pregnancy test is enough!
A friend of mine has a heart condition that is exacerbated by pregnancy, she had a lot of extra care during both her pgs, and passed out quite a few times with each, ending up in A&E each time on monitors. She was under consultant care for the duration of each pg and at the births too.
I guess you need to find out if your condition will be affected by pg, and push for more care/a second opinion if you feel your GP isn't taking it seriously.

CoventGarden75 · 17/09/2013 15:46

You Lovely Ladies carry on having healthy pregnancy and babies. Wish you all the best. It's game over for me, mmc.
