Welcome & congrats flyaway, I'm due 15 with a girl to!

Welcome back choco :)

Panicked a bit yesterday as didn't feel baby much, only for her to be very active as I was falling asleep :)

MrsVDB · 14/09/2013 07:02

Checking in from Bali!! Baby is very active last few days! Also didn't think through the sunbathing on my front situation. Still doing it but a bit to the side and don't think it makes baby too happy as feel him squirming!!

Naturegirl82 · 14/09/2013 07:59

Well last night was a bit of a disaster. Dh was up most of the night being sick and puppy woke at 2.30 and 5! Sad Managed to get puppy to settle back down pretty quick which was good. Just going to view it as practice!

Sultanajo · 14/09/2013 08:29

mythree fingers firmly crossed the odds work for you and it moves up out of the way.

choco course we remember u! You would be so proud of us chatting so much we forgot to set up a new thread until we had already reached 1000! Wink Great to hear you have turned a corner. Horrible feeling so out of control... Yay another little boy!,Grin

Sultanajo · 14/09/2013 08:31

mrsv get u in Bali! Are u having a fab time? Really want to be chilling by a pool right now....well jel! Wink

nature what a lovely night for u! Sad Is DH any better this morning? Glad pupster settled quickly - very much good practice for whats to come. Grin

Sultanajo · 14/09/2013 08:41

mrsg they just love scaring the shite out of us dont they! Not much movement this end this morning and jumped on the scales to find I had lost 2lbs also and (tmi) much larger amount of discharge this morning....that surely cant just be because I didnt have breakfast yesterday... However, trying not to freak out as all three of these things have happened before....

OK so the sultana mattress topper and body pillow test results are in....

Egg crate foam mattress topper is a massive success. It didnt totally erradicate the hip pain, BUT it gave me much longer on my side before it kicked in, meaning I spent almost the whole night on my side. Grin

The argos body pillow was also a success. It could have been a bit chunkier, BUT the fact that it wasnt meant when I turned over I could take it with me easily and it didnt take over the bed.

So all in all, apart from waking up to pee or take rennies, I had a pretty good nights sleep. Grin

toby is it today you are collecting your new car?

Solasum · 14/09/2013 09:04

I am in London, and pretty sure the midwife told me that in London there are enough 'high risk' groups for everyone to get a diabetes test.

They even provided lucozade. That will be nice on an empty stomach an hour before my 8.30am appointment..

BookTart · 14/09/2013 11:09

Hiya choco, I've been wondering where you've been! Sorry you've been having such a rough time though Flowers Like sultana said, our thread finishing has been a shambles without you :)

Envy at you mrsv - have a fabulous time!

Frizz1986 · 14/09/2013 12:08

mrsv so jealous...

Been nice and busy today. Weekly shop, making pizza dough, cleaning, hanging the washing to dry, taking out the bins, looking after pooch all before my best friend arrives for a weekend visit. Cant wait to see her as not met up since the big news!!
Felt a bit stressed before tho as father in law arrived to help dh with the garden. Nice for the help but had this weekend planned for ages and wanted dh to help get everything ready before our guest but h has been stuck outside laying concrete.

sultana glad the reviews are in and good. My pillow is def bigger as it takes a lot of effort trying to move it (and myself) without waking up dh lol. Slightly smaller would be good but yet again mine is borrowed so ill take it!
Bad night for me last night. Up to pee 3 times, woke up once on my back and the pain was awful. Almost had to wake dh up to help me move. Oh well should really call the ohysio as midwife said they do some classes or something but i dont thinki will get reffered for anything worthwhile. What i wouldnt give for a decent back massage!!

Hey choco it's lovely to see you back.
Hi MrsV sounds like your having a great time.

I've gone back to studying part time and have missed it so much but the lecturer is already going on about ucas/full time studying etc and it's scaring me somewhat. I've decided on speech therapy but uni of ulster have been giving me the run around for weeks.
I'm getting a diabetes glucose tolerance test too, purely due to ethnicity.

I'm off to get my monobrow waxed soon, so I'll try and write on the thread a bit more than I have been. Xx

MrsAVB · 14/09/2013 12:38

Wb choco, we missed you too! Good to hear you're feeling better.
sola I am in London and not having a gtt, you still have to have risk factors in my area.
Happy Saturday everyone!
X

Hope2014 · 14/09/2013 12:40

Hello, just thought I'd check in and say hello here - Due date is 6th Jan and I'm having a pink one. Been a bit late in signing up - too paranoid early on but now feeling properly bumpy so thought it was time! Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

MrsVDB · 14/09/2013 13:06

Glad your niece is doing well sarah

I really want an all over body massage. Had one last time and it was amazing (if not a bit intimate ha ha) but worried about whether they know how to do it safely and right oils etc. health and safety isn't their strong point here!

Had a bite of a dippy egg earlier too. Haven't had one whole time and I'm sure the eggs are much safer in England but for some reason fancied it. One bite in chickened out!!

Toothfairy78 · 14/09/2013 14:57

My DH thinks I've gone mad.

I read about reusable baby wipes and how effective and Eco friendly they are......I have spent all morning on my sewing machine.

Welcome to hope! Congrats and lovely to see new peeps joining for the second half!

Hope you're all having a fun Saturday!

Solasum · 14/09/2013 15:02

How and with what are you making the reuseable wipes, toothfairy? (Sensing fun project!)

Toothfairy78 · 14/09/2013 15:12

An old flannel sheet. It's soft and cottony!

And it's very relaxing cutting and sewing a bazillion squares.

Have seen lots of cool stuff to sew in t'internet too including
www.sew-much-ado.com/2012/07/baby-bjorn-slip-cover-tutorial.html

Would be the perfect excuse to play with funky fabrics!

flyawayblue · 14/09/2013 16:57

MrsGSR Smile lovely to have a 'twin' hope things are going well for you.

I had the same fears re movement 2 weeks ago but was advised drinking really cold water and then calling the midwife if nothing happened. Drank the water and bing lots of movements. Very scary though.

She doesn't seem to move for J though. He's felt her a few times but mostly she quites down when he comes over. hopefully this means she will sleep for him later Wink

Glad to here everyone's not 'done' was getting a bit worried.

fryingpantoface · 14/09/2013 17:11

I found you all :-)

I'm doing well, 22 weeks, well just over and Bug 2 is a little boy. Seemingly he's pretty happy.

bymoonlight · 14/09/2013 20:25

Can I join in! I'm 21 wks today and am having a girl! So she's dd3!

Dh has resigned himself to never having a son as this is definitely our last baby.

We have already decided on the name Florence.

Sultanajo · 14/09/2013 20:25

Welcome newbies! Nice to have you aboard!,Grin

frying glad u found us! Congrats - really good to hear you are doing well! Grin

frizz sounds as though you need a full body massage! Ahhhh bliss! Grin

Sultanajo · 14/09/2013 20:27

bymoon Florence is a lovely name!

bymoonlight · 14/09/2013 21:12

Thanks Sulanajo, feels strange knowing what we are having as we never found out before.

I am over the moon to be having another little girl.

chocoloulou33 · 14/09/2013 21:54

Ah thanks lovely ladies. Looks like I've been having similar issues to some of you with pains at night. I have a v pillow which is great and does help but hips still kill in the mornings. I do have back ache throughout day too. Was never like this with dd but that was 6 years ago I guess. Also meant to say yesterday I am in your anterior placenta club lol. Mine is high so am getting lots of v low kicks x

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 15/09/2013 00:15

Hello! I'm back from lovely Devon - I see you've all been busy whilst I was away.

sarah glad it sounds as if your niece is on the road to recovery, what an ordeal. Poor little mite, I hope she continues to recover.

Toby glad the ctrx have slowed down (stopped?) and you're okay - how scary for you.

another poor you - no nookie. Hope the placenta moves its bottom sharpish.

Cannot remember ANYTHING else, despite reading six pages of posts...

We had a lovely week - had a pg massage (full body), and MY GOD do I recommend it. She focussed a lot on my hips, which are aching from side sleeping, and really relaxed them - so much better since then. If you can stretch to it (the lady i found does home visits in Devon, was £37) I would absolutely without question go for one.
Also went to the River Cottage to do breadmaking (class) - it was okay, but I'm still not sure I 'get' the trick of decent bread - everything we brought away was okay, but nothing special.

I have to go to sleep now - was determined to catch up with you all, but KNACKERED! Grin
