choco interesting another ap and similar aches.

humpty welcome back! Grin Sounds like u had a good holiday and the massage sounds amazing! DH and I shared a shower last night Grin and he gave me a mini massage using the shower gel which was just lush! How I managed to remain standing I dont know!

Another pretty good side sleeping night last night, despite stupid headache that wont shift.....grrrr!

TobyLerone · 15/09/2013 07:58

Morning, ladies.

Hi, newbies :)

Welcome back, loulou :o

Glad you had a lovely time, Humpty. Breadmaking is all about practice. Yours will get better as you go along (if you cba to keep trying, of course!)

Sultana, I've had a headache for days, too :( Isn't it shit? Also heartburn that won't shift.

We picked up the new Mum-mobile yesterday. Meh. It's ok. I am such a brat.

Sultanajo · 15/09/2013 08:36

Yep with u toby on both counts! Will all be worth it, but it sucks. Lots of strong kicks this morning so that is making me smile. Grin

You will learn to love your brand new shiney car soon I am sure....it wont be forever - one day u can get the car of your dreams! Grin Grin

Trying to decide what to do today. Have been up since 7am and dont want to waste the day, but DH is working and am not feeling inspired.... Should probably go for a swim at some point.....Want to do something relatively active while I can....

Sultanajo · 15/09/2013 13:06

Well went out to get some fresh air, do some browsing round the shops and sit by the waterfront, followed by a bit of food shopping. Well, now I remember why I dont do it very often. Because everyone is a cuntpuffin and I feel as though I am moving out of their way more than ever before. Omg the RAGE!!! Angry Then I went to sit by the waterfront, which was bliss for 5 mins with a lovely cool breeze before it began to piss with rain! Food shopping was equally shite afterwards. All I could think was, how am I gonna cope doing things like this with bubs in tow, when I get totally fecked off when its just me....Confused

Still, feel as though I got some exercise which is something....

Hope you are all having more successful Sundays....Grin

AnotherStitchInTime · 15/09/2013 13:41

Welcome hope and bymoon and congratulations on your girls :)

Sorry to hear about headaches Sultana and Toby, I suffer from these whenever the baby is on a growth spurt or I have tension in my shoulders. Good excuse for back and neck massages :). Does anyone know if we allowed that 4 head stuff?

Right scared myself silly reading about placenta praevia online, so I am now taking it much easier than I was, no more lifting dd1 (4) onto swings. DH has stopped looking :( about no nookie too, now he knows the risks to baby and me. Dd2 had me up at 6am so when DH got up I went back to bed until midday and have just had a lovely bath.

TobyLerone · 15/09/2013 13:44

Yes, we can use 4Head, as per my midwife.

bymoonlight · 15/09/2013 13:44

Sultanajo - Once baby is here you will have the pram and then people will have to move out of your way or get clipped ankles Grin

Sultanajo · 15/09/2013 14:00

bymoon I was actually thinking the same! Grin

another that sounds very sensible and what a blissful morning! Ahhhh.....Grin

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 15/09/2013 14:45

sultana I am the same - when I have to get out of the way for other people, and particularly when I have to twist at the waist to do so, I get furious and want to scream at them 'Can't you see I'm pregnant' Grin. I sort of hate myself for being like this, as I do think I'm being a bit precious, possibly, but I can't help it! Grin

Sultanajo · 15/09/2013 15:04

humpty this hacked me off before I was preggers, but once my bump was obvious I thought people may start to be more courteous! Wrong! So the rage is now ten times worse because I feel I have to protect bump. Its just feckin rude and I feel like a mug constantly moving.

I also felt really old in the shops I was going in and a bit intimidated for some reason. Young people seem to have all the confidence in the world and I suddenly seem to be regressing! Must be hormones to blame.....Blush

Penny31 · 15/09/2013 16:36

Phew my feet are killing me! Mammoth shopping spree this weekend, ordered furniture and pram and bought lots of clothes and some sheets. Pleased I ordered the pram sooner rather than later! The delivery date is only 4 weeks before my due date!

Haven't had a chance to catch up yet but I hope everyone is ok xx

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 15/09/2013 18:43

sultana a good friend of mine taught me the following trick, and it works (if you are walking towards people, not so much if you are standing still):

DO NOT make eye contact. Look just above their heads (also don't look down). Continue to walk the direction you were heading. Do not hesitate or deviate. 90% of the time people then move for you - the psychology is that subconsciously your brain recognises whether you've been 'seen' or not by the other person. If not, it's reflexive to move aside, as you don't want to get hit/bumped.
If you look down, it signals inferiority and they will assume you will move. You have to be brave, but it stops me committing genocide daily Grin

Sultanajo · 15/09/2013 20:27

Ekkk penny how exciting! Grin Yeah, I didnt expect the delivery times on furniture, so I too am glad we bought it now, rather than November which is when DH wanted to shop....

humpty omg I am gonna have to try that and not wimp out! Thats just brilliant!!! Grin

Just saw "white house down" at the pics and it was actually really good! It helps that Channing Tatum was the lead! Yum!!! Grin Blush

TobyLerone · 15/09/2013 20:46

Humpty's advice works. I do it all the time. It's part of 'London Rules' in our house.

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 15/09/2013 22:06

toby it is part of surviving here, isn't it? What happens if two Londoners both do it to each other, though? Does it create a wormhole in the space-time continuum?

Had a v chilled day today, ate roast lamb, made brownies, caught up on MNing things since holiday, had a bath. Trying to consciously make the most of pre-baby time.

Ooh, forgot to say - come and join me in my spiteful-glee-corner (like story-corner, but meaner): my cuntpuffin boss has partially got his comeuppance - my lovely colleague, who does all the bookeeping, payroll, mgmt accounts and finance management for the organisation has resigned. Said cuntpuffin does not know how to do any of these things, nor does he know which is which, and why they are important. He is POOING HIS PANTS. Ha.

TarkaTheOtter · 15/09/2013 22:49

Argh I've got a terrible cold! Does anyone know any remedies that don't involve drugs we can't have or sugars/carbs (so honey and lemon are no goes)??? I have no idea how to make myself feel better.

Also, I'm on a hen do this weekend and have a four hour train journey home tomorrow morning - double arghhh.

AnotherStitchInTime · 15/09/2013 23:05

Vicks on the feet?

TarkaTheOtter · 15/09/2013 23:10

YES - thank you another, Vicks is a great idea and I hadn't thought of it at all.

Toothfairy78 · 15/09/2013 23:34

Oh dear, a cold? That sucks.

My colleague from Pakistan once took pity on me and gave me some of his Johar joshanda tea. It worked pretty well for something that didn't have paracetamol, phenylephrine or any other pharmaceuticals. I stocked up on some at the local Asian supermarket.

My step mum swears by ginger tea for colds, though it might remind you of fighting morning sickness!

Can you eat chillies at all?

Meh, not allowed real drugs and winter's coming!

Mac2014 · 16/09/2013 07:31

I just wanted to check if anyone else has complete irritation bordering on rage with minute things? Yesterday a bloke stood too close to me at a checkout ... So close he was touching me... Weird old man & I had to turn round and tell him to move in a loud, disgusted voice. Think he just wanted to rest his basket?! This morning, the smells and irritating noises on my commute are nearly sending me postal & the lacks attitude of some of my team are irritating g me before I've even seen them.

I hope this calms down ... Or there'll be a new Downfall ... Pregnant women goes bonkers. Just send that noone has any manners anymore & is incapable of rational thought. (Not that it could be me being hormonal and irrational!)

Anyway Angry rant over.

Have a good day all.

extracrunchy · 16/09/2013 08:20

Mac - me. Big time. I'm incredibly irritable and can't seem to put things in perspective!

MrsAVB · 16/09/2013 08:42

Morning all!
tarka, my vote goes for duvet on the sofa and cheesy films. And a man servant to bring food and drink. In the absence of drugs and sugar, what's a girl to do? Also maybe head over bowl of hot water with Vicks or similar? Or is that banned too?
Have a good day all! X

Frizz1986 · 16/09/2013 08:47

oo no colds are not good.

I have been fairly good with rage so far.. but did yell slightly at pooch as she jumped up onto the chair as soon as I got up to pick her up (she isn't allowed to jump atm)
Then she did her waggle her tail and do a sad face at me as she knew I was angry. Then I just couldnt help giving her lots of kisses and cuddles.

Had a nice weekend with my bestie. Just chilled and watched 'the american president' a classic! with snacks and nibbles and yummy home made pizza.

Am currently feeling chilly at work so am sat with a hot chocolate. Bubs seems to be fumbling away inside which is nice. Did had a lovely sharp under the rib pain on my drive to work this morning. I don't like these random aches and pains. They are so annoying.

Plus my mum passed a message over from my nan this weekend. Apparently my uncle was due on Jan 8th (I am due jan 10th) and he arrived on xmas day!! Yay!

Sultanajo · 16/09/2013 08:50

Humpty and Toby it would be hilarious if you two unknowingly walked towards each other in London one day and played chicken with each other to see who would back down or whether you just crashed into each other! Grin

Tarka that sucks! I don't have any other remedies, but offering you some soft ultrabalm tissues and a hot non-added sugar ribena...!

Mac and extra that was totally ME yesterday, although I think a lot of my ranting was justified! However, supermarkets are the worst at the moment - just have absolutely NO patience whatsoever. In fact, as I walk towards the doors I can feel myself tensing up!

This morning, I just feel irritated and overwhelmed by the amount of work I have on! Just trying to keep it in mind "9 more weeks of work" and that is really the only thing keeping me going! Hmm

TobyLerone · 16/09/2013 08:51

:o wormhole.

I made brownies yesterday too, Humpty. Sweet potato ones. I owed some to DS's friend as he's been complaining that I haven't baked him anything for ages. DS rang him last night to tell him that he'd have some brownies today. Then he passed the phone to me in time for me to hear "I love you!" in deep, 15 year-old voice. It gave me the lulz :o

Also, I love it when that happens to CuntBosses. All of a sudden they're all of a fluster and everyone else is suddenly busy and doesn't know how to to any of the things Wink

Tarka, paracetamol and plenty of fluids. Vitamin C. Make something with plenty of garlic, chilli, onion in it. Soup, perhaps?
Also, you can buy menthol crystals in chemists that you put in a bowl of hot water. They work quite well.

Mac, I always have that rage. Especially when people invade my personal space. So probably no more than usual!
