Congrats Space and your partner. Good luck to baby Space! You've scared me about how unready I am for our baby to arrive, as you were my due date buddy! Let us know how you are all getting on when you have some time.

My in laws have finally gone after arriving on Saturday to help us with some decorating. I do have a lovely fresh bathroom now courtesy of them but arrived home to find a plant in it yday that I didn't choose, buy or want - think my MIL is trying to turn our house into hers! I really struggled with conversations within 5 mins of getting out of bed about my hot water thermostat needing to be turned down or any other slightly technical DIY type things........not sure I want to spk about these things anyway but esp not before 7am......! And why does my MIL think it strange that I might be a bit tired being pregnant? SO nice to have a quiet house of my own tonight!!!

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 19:58

Idris is a fab name. Glad to hear he's doing well, Space Flowers

MrsV, I can't remember what the packaging for the Sainsbury's tights was like, but if you want I can get you some later in the week and send them to you :)

extracrunchy · 01/10/2013 20:51

Space, Idris is a lovely name and very apt! Must've been amazing to be able to touch him. How's your DP doing?

extracrunchy · 01/10/2013 20:51

Also anyone know where I can get good wintry woolly/cotton tights? I love winter clothes! Had M&S last time but prices are mental.

MrsVDB · 01/10/2013 21:01

toby thank you that's very kind, ill have a double check this week but if not then I may take you up on that please.

extra I got a couple of pairs couple of weeks ago in h&m sale. Haven't worn them yet so can't comment on how good they are yet

MrsVDB · 01/10/2013 21:07

Anyone watching channel 4? My big fat gypsy christening. Eye opener!

TarkaTheOtter · 01/10/2013 21:08

extra I'm wearing some lovely wool maternity tights now bit I bought them last time round and no label. I'd guess mothercare so that might be worth a look.

After my whinging earlier I found a P&T double on buy it now near me for a reasonable price so now have a double!!!
I also just saved £££ by replacing the broken power jack on my laptop. Had to take the back off and everything - very pleased with myself as I've never done anything like that before. A successful evening for once!

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/10/2013 21:18

space Idris is a lovely name, and how amazing that you got a cuddle. I shall be thinking of him and you and Mr Space a lot and wishing you all the best. Please do update us when you have time!

frizz I'd call the mw. Just to be on the safe side - who knows what it might be. Best to be safe. Probably nothing, but they may want to check.

tarka glad you got the eBay thing sorted - I HATE snipers, but it seems to be the only way to win auctions. So takes the point of eBay away, but there is no way to compete otherwise. I reluctantly use one now after losing too many things for pennies at the last minute.

tooth are you going to start a new thread? Grin Don't forget, some of us are nearly third trimester now Grin Hmm

Sultanajo · 01/10/2013 21:22

Frizz I would call your MW too - she can then at least put your mind at rest!

Tarka get you! Sounds mega successful! Grin

As I walked dragged myself up the stairs for about the 20th time today, I wondered if it would be a good time to install a Stanner Stairlift? Wink My god I am soooo tired tonight!

TarkaTheOtter · 01/10/2013 21:40

Thanks sultana! Stairs are my nemesis to atm. Makes me wish I lived in a bungalow.

Frizz1986 · 01/10/2013 21:47

Thanks ladies. Def a MW call in the morn as have a tearing feeling down the centre of my belly now (assume muscles separating) and keep getting recurring pains in the same place just left of the belly button too. Left side pain feels a bit pulled muscle like but cant rest it when i am up and down at work so will def just mention everything to get checked.

Ooooo a new thread to start soon. How exciting!

mrsv i have just watched a bit of gypsy christening. I am finding it all a bit scary. The women who arrived to find the church locked but they arrived 3 hours late so what did they expect!!

Toothfairy78 · 01/10/2013 21:50

Ah, go on then! I'll make a fresh new thread....

MrsVDB · 01/10/2013 21:55

Yes and the one with suspected gd drinking cans and cans of redbull?? I'm not one to judge but...

frizz yes best get checked out

I've been off work today as feel generally under the weather with the bug that's going around I think but also have a pain below my bump on left and just feel something is wrong. I've felt this before and it was all fine. Think spaces news has worried me too. Might call midwife in morning but not sure what ill say! Just feels like something is up

Toothfairy78 · 01/10/2013 22:07

OK have started new thread here:
www.mumsnet.com/Talk/antenatal_clubs/1869941-January-2014-Thread-10-Getting-out-of-breath-Dont-forget-to-squeeze-when-you-sneeze-laydeez

Hoping space comes along despite graduating early Smile

When you're ready ladies...

MrsVDB · 01/10/2013 22:09

Thanks toby

sarahleanne · 01/10/2013 22:10

frizz give midwife a ring. Its hetter to be safe than sorry and good luck. Tmi but I also have had that wet patch but mine is deffinitely discharge.

space lovely name, thinking of you and your little fighter !!

mrsv I hope you feel better tomorrow.

Sorry I cant remember any other posts baby brain

Bought some maternity over the bump black leggings at h&m yesterday, super comfy!!
I have ordered babies pram today, £185 on winstanleys pramworld, bargain. It was £270 in the shops and its a double buggy.
All I have left to buy is breast pump and car seat and any cute clothes I see :)
Paid £1000 off the credit card this month, yessss , sorry not pregnancy related but a big weight off my shoulders ha ha.
I have just booked in to get my hair done on sunday and a pregnancy massage at a spa on tuesday, I cant bloody wait.

Toothfairy78 · 01/10/2013 22:24

frizz mrsV I'm sure a quick phone call to the MW won't hurt.

This evening the first of our second hand items ought from colleague of DH arrived tonight, the car seat and bases. They're pretty big! The pushchair's gonna be huge!

And skipped the exclusive evening at Kiddicare Hayes tonight on account of being to tired to shop! Yeah, work was crap, not aided by preggo brain making numbers jump about the page and ridiculous heating system overcooking us in the office. The most my brain could cope with was waxing the hallway floor!

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 22:25

Well done, sarahl -- Winstanleys Pramworld definitely seems to be the way forward for cheaper stuff :)

frizz and MrsV, good luck with your respective midwives tomorrow.

I'm off to the new thread :)

sarahleanne · 01/10/2013 22:29

Did I just hear that right? The gypsy woman saying breastfeeding is ridicolous? I was half listening to it on plus 1. What a stupid thing to say .

Frizz1986 · 01/10/2013 22:37

mrsv i am not sure how to say it all either. I seem to have a list but all of it i expect will get the response of all normal, nothing to worry about, if it continues see the gp.

Check out all the major items that are arriving/being purchased!

My BIL is up to do some work about 30 miles away in the next few weeks so hopefully he will load his car with whatever fits and we can have some more goodies. Cant wait to get the nursery decorated so that we can put stuff in it

OP posts:
TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 22:42

I can't watch any of the gypsy things. They just seem so...exploitative.

MrsAVB · 01/10/2013 22:44

Err 945 messages is not close enough to 1000... We are going to get a bollocking from choco if we don't fill up soon. Smile
So I have been doing pg yoga for about 6 weeks now and really enjoy the class. But no one talks to each other before or after! I know you have to be in a zone mentally for yoga, then we do relaxation at the end so are all a bit zonked, but it's a bit annoying as it would be nice to make some more preggo friends. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and impose myself on ppl. Teacher also told us today that slouching/ bad posture/ sitting at a desk all day means that baby is more likely to be breach - I'm doomed!
frizz I have had way more discharge over the last week or so, so let us know what your MW says.
extra, mothercare have nice wooly tights, they were in the sale last week but not sure if that's still on...

Toothfairy78 · 01/10/2013 22:52

Do you reckon choco could fill up 41 posts by telling us all off?

Fairydust1986 · 01/10/2013 22:58

How can these be good mothers? Holding a cig to a baby's mouth & one poor mite had her ears pierced at only a month old!

Frizz1986 · 01/10/2013 23:02

I defo think that the thread could be filled up with us being reprimanded lol
