wow, space. Congratulations on your lovely little boy! Flowers Flowers Flowers

How many weeks is he?

I hope he does well on neonatal, having a view of the sea sounds lovely. You must be in complete shock, I can't imagine it!

extracrunchy · 01/10/2013 10:25

Space you are so serene! Good weight too. Smile

Naturegirl82 · 01/10/2013 10:31

Congratulations space. Thinking of you, your dp and your little man. Thanks

alteredimages · 01/10/2013 10:34

Congratulations space and hope you, DH and the little one are all dong well. Flowers

HumptyDumptyBumpty · 01/10/2013 10:38

space MY LORD! Massive congratulations on your gorgeous son! I'm so excited for you! We need to know names when you decide.

Neonatal unit sounds amazing, how lovely for him to be able to see and hear the sea. How long will he stay there?

And how are you - apart from in shock? Grin Can we do anything? I am totally up for some (#ears) shopping & posting you premie sized stuff? Or anything else that might help?

Wow, what an amazing story - I'm almost crying (but then I am a soppy, ridiculous woman).

I was going to say some other things, but this has totally wiped them from my mind...

Oh yes - sultana I, too, was amazed by love for non-#ears clothing. I will take a pic and post it tonight on my profile, by way of explanation.

frizz good luck to your DH for his interview.

Nope, the rest has gone. Baby brain? Me? Grin

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 11:12

Oooh, yes! I'm also up for shopping/sending anything you need, space. It's not like I've got anything else to do all day!

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 11:17

Haha, Humpty. I used baby brain for the first time as a legit excuse on Sunday evening, when I forgot to collect DS from his dad's. I sat there saying to DH, "DS is late..."
Then I realised that I was supposed to collect him Blush

It didn't cause too many probs (bar a snidey comment, according to DS, from XH's cuntpuffin girlfriend) but I've now set a reminder on my phone to collect him every other Sunday.

Bluecarrot · 01/10/2013 11:23

Only scanned through the last few posts as Ill never catch up again! This thread just moves too fast.

space hoping all goes smoothly for you and your son. You sound like you are holding it all together very well. Looking forward to a pic & a name ;)

Ive been busy and started buying the cloth nappies in the last week (now gone for little lambs bamboo with motherease rikki and airflow wraps, plus one fuzzibunz elite, 5 totbots v2, and prefolds. All second hand, either ebay or given to me) I just want to knit some soakers and thats me done on that front.

Am also on my second blanket (crochet). This one is definitely a labour of love.

Nursery is being insulated and hoping it will be plastered and ready to decorate by November.

For pelvic floor squeezes, just think if something you do 10 times a day and make it your trigger. I do them every time I wash my hands and first thing in the morning and in bed at night. Should have me up to 100 at least, since I do sets of 10...

Oh, and I start yoga next Monday night. Really looking forward to it :) Been trying the dvd, but feel the class is important for social reasons as well as birth prep info.

flyawayblue · 01/10/2013 11:23

wow space that's amazing news. I hope you are both doing well and the neonatal until sounds lovely.

BookTart · 01/10/2013 12:02

You're doing well with the crochet bluecarrot, I keep meaning to cast on a little cardi with all the wool I keep buying, but then chicken out. Must get going!

First uninvited colleague went for a grope of the bump just now. SHORT SHRIFT Grin

Lalunya85 · 01/10/2013 12:24

space that's unbelievable! lots of warm thoughts your way - well done!

I am slightly freaked out though... Blush

AnotherStitchInTime · 01/10/2013 12:31

Wow space congratulations! That is a good weight, my niece was less than that at 30 weeks when she arrived early (She is now a substantial rampaging 3 year old and fine). Hope you get to hold him at the neonatal unit soon x

So much to do today before school run, will be back later.

babycakemumma · 01/10/2013 12:53

Space!!! Wow congratulations! I hope you're both doing well. 3min recorded labour has to be some kind of a record! Take it easy.

lovelilies · 01/10/2013 13:00

space congratulations!Thanks
I hope you and baby will be.ok, how many weeks were you?

chocoloulou33 · 01/10/2013 13:13

Just having a catch up and omg our first birth! Congrats space. Hope all is ok with you and little one. Let us know when you can xx

BuntCadger · 01/10/2013 13:45

Wowzers Space! Massive congratulations to you, baby spracefrog and daddy spracefrog xxx

Sultanajo · 01/10/2013 13:49

humpty Space's story also brought a tear or two to my eyes.... What a precious little bundle! Grin

Mind you, frickin everything has me sniffling these days and it happens without warning and I cant control it! DH was watching The Big C last night and I decided to watch it with him despite my reservations. It was quite funny until the very end when something happened that shocked us both and I was bawling within seconds. Just about pulled myself together after ten mins and then the news came on which started with a story of a pregnant lady in Africa and off I went again! I took myself off to bed at that point...! Grin

Toby Grin I can just imagine realisation dawning on you as you waited for DS to arrive home! Stupid XH's girlfriend making snidy comments though!,Angry

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 14:06

It was funny. I was like "BOLLOCKS! I was supposed to pick him up!" Luckily it's only across town, but it still meant I was 20 minutes late. And according to DS she makes a lot of snidey comments, but luckily I don't give a toss what she has to say as she's thick as mince and completely irrelevant to me :o

sarahleanne · 01/10/2013 14:12

Wow omg space congratulations!! How many weeks were you? What a shocker!! And you sound so calm considering.
Well done you!!

enjoyingscience · 01/10/2013 14:13

Bah, 20 minutes is nothing. I'm later than to work most days Grin

enjoyingscience · 01/10/2013 14:13

can't write.

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 14:14

IIRC from last week, space would have been about 24 and a bit weeks now.

Sorry for talking for you, space!

AnotherStitchInTime · 01/10/2013 14:18

Her due date was the 18th Jan according to the stats thread, so I reckon you are right toby, nearly 25 weeks.

TobyLerone · 01/10/2013 14:23

Ah, good thinking! By that reckoning, mine's 5th Jan and I'm 26+2 today.

That makes space 24+3 if my maths is correct.

MrsVDB · 01/10/2013 14:32

Wow that's only a couple of days further than me. I couldn't imagine giving birth yet, definitely don't feel ready. But I'm actually excited for the birth :)

Buying a maternity onesie from new look today, bring on maternity leave! :)
