Wow, miss a few days and everything's kicking off! Good luck legally, falcon, nelly and skull!

Flyer747 · 09/09/2013 22:57

Good Luck tomorrow ladies, cannot wait to hear the good news.

Can't remember who the dog expert is on here, if you happen to read this post my dog keeps humping dp's leg?! Grin It's highly amusing but she shouldn't be doing it, she doesn't do it to me or anyone else just dp, any ideas why?

claphammama · 09/09/2013 22:59

good luck ladies!!! shall be checking for updates all day tomorrow Smile

flyer sorry, no idea why your dog is humping his leg Grin

MotherOfNations · 09/09/2013 23:14

My male dog is exactly the same with dp. When he's not humping his leg he's sitting staring at him with his tongue hanging out. When dp is tipsy he encourages it because he finds it amusing wathing the dog struggle to walk and lose balance with the sheer weight of his lipstick as the ex's call it. Dp's a bit jealous. He says it's bigger than his.Grin.
We bought him from my sister when he was a year old. She'd bought him from a gay couple when he was 6 months old so she's blaming that.

MotherOfNations · 09/09/2013 23:16

dc's not ex's.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 09/09/2013 23:17

Good luck ladies!! So exciting!

Quick question for those of you who have already had dcs. After the birth, how much did your bump go down straight away? I'm slightly worried as i'm wearing a pair of my after birth big knickers to see how comfy they are and I think they are a bit tight. I'm 35 weeks now, would you say you go back to being a lot smaller than that straight away? Should I get some bigger ones just in case do you think?

claphammama · 09/09/2013 23:20

heffa for me it was like going back to being 5 months pregnant overnight. Plus the swelling goes and everything gets softer right away (read: wobbly) so should be OK.

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 23:24

Just measured my boobs while dangling them as suggested by bra guru (much to DHs bemusement) as my 32e and 30f with bra extender are both getting tight and boobs been very swollen and big the last couple of days. 31 inches under and 40 inches over so I think that's a 32G.

I bought a small and a medium silk nursing bra and will get at least one more in a different style and colour but probably wait a few more weeks in case I grow more.

Tonight I typed up my birth plan and we have just packed my hospital bag together so DH knows what is in it. DH has also fixed the wall stickers with very thin double sided sticky tape. So far it looks good. All this talk of imminent babies made me want everything ready. Didn't realise the time though, oops, up late on a school night.

Good luck over night all labourers!

OrangeBlossom2 · 09/09/2013 23:27

Heffalump the nighties I bought for my hospital bag are both too tight already, just tried them in this evening, so put one in the "afterwards" bag instead. Amazing just much I have grown in the last month or so since buying it when I tight it was plenty big enough. I read you look 3-6 months pregnant post birth so the knickers should be fine.

cherrycherry41 · 09/09/2013 23:33

Heffa my bump didnt go down for at least 3 or 4 days after birth but i did have a c section so was swollen!
Good luck for tomorrow ladies who are booked in! :)

MotherOfNations · 09/09/2013 23:38

Orange according to the size chart the silk nursing bras only fit up to an f cup.

HeffalumpTheFlump · 09/09/2013 23:48

Thanks clapham and orange. Cherry I'm having a c section so I was a bit worried about swelling. Hmm I might get some bigger ones and take a few of each size.

Orange I was worried about this so got my nighties in a mahoosive size!! There is no way I could grow into them at all.

legallyblond · 10/09/2013 00:01

Hey all. Sorry, crazy manic day so I can't catch up properly... DD to school then pre-op (which takes ages and yes, round two of steroids even worse!), then a photo shoot for DH's new business (for a newspaper - it's won an big competition... Not ideal the day before giving birth!), then final bag packing etc etc....

It all feels v surreal and the twins arriving tomorrow hasn't even remotely sunk in!

Good luck Falcon and Skull.

I'll update when I can - realistically evening I expect...

tuckingfits · 10/09/2013 00:04

Very best wishes for tomorrow legally. So excited for you & not surprised at all that it doesn't feel real!xx

favellio · 10/09/2013 07:01

Good luck legally, skull and falcon Thanks
I can't wait for a baby update Grin
I'm off for a scan this morning to see if fluid levels have decreased. My bump feels huge and, as well as a couple of stretch marks, I'm now scraping bump every time I get in and out of the shower (we have a shower cubicle not over the bath shower.....I'm not that big lol)
Hope everyone has a great day, I'm gonna go for a cheeky McDonald's breakfast on way to scan Wink

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/09/2013 07:09

Oh well will keep then for the way back down then MoN. Will still be feeding as I shrink.

Big exciting day today!!

Felt really sick last night/this morning. Bleugh.

Tarlia · 10/09/2013 07:10

nat def a good idea to have a place out of reach for baby to go. It's promising to hear DD is sleeping more heavily, fx My DS will change in that respect too!

falcon sounds promising. How are you today? Made me chuckle 'come back when you're screaming' teehee.

Good luck with the scan, fave.

My weekly trip to the hospital today for all the usual checks and monitoring. I'm 36+3 now, which is when it all got out of control last time, but I wasn't on meds then as it suddenly appeared.

OrangeBlossom2 · 10/09/2013 07:16

Good luck Tarlia.
Ooh autumn has arrived, Steamy breath outside!
